The overall reputation of the company reflects a mix of positive and negative sentiments. Customers appreciate the convenience, product variety, and competitive pricing, particularly praising the store's layout and exclusive brands. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, with reports of long wait times, unresponsive staff, and issues with online orders and returns. Many customers express frustration over outdated products and perceived indifference from management. These trends suggest that while the company offers a strong shopping experience, substantial improvements in customer support and service reliability are needed to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Have ordered online. No issues, great prices, offers some better quality items than Walmart does in my opinion.
I ordered a dress from here, one of the "GO International" pieces because it was on sale for ridiculously cheap and although I had an inkling it'd probably be terrible quality if not fit poorly, I ordered it anyway because of the cheap shipping ($4.95). It arrived and as expected, I had to return it at a store location (convenient) although the shipping isn't refundable. So yes, basically I paid $5 to try on a crappy dress.
I've noticed that checking their tracking # is also kind of annoying, maybe it was the browser on the computer I was using, but it would show me as logged in but would generate a temporary "account" for me to check the tracking info. Normally, most retailers/vendors send an email with a link to the tracking info so you can click through there without having to log in to any accounts. Maybe Target cracks down harder on security.
Somehow someone got my credit card number and was ordering groceries online in Fla. ( I live in IA.) Target called me and asked me if it was me who was doing this. It was not me and they immediately reversed the charge. Sent me out a new card that arrived in 3 days.
Going into Target isn't always the best decision to make when a girl's in the mood to buy. To avoid buyer's remorse, I buy what I need, which are usually Boots lipsticks, from target.com. I've read bad experiences that other consumers have had, which makes me avoid other types of purchases online.
Decent online gift registry. Kind of hard to navigate to similar items or other parts of a set. Site is to cluttered with random adds.
I bought plenty of stuff for my new home when I moved. Most everything has exceeded expectations - one chair had a funny mark on the cushion and I was able to return it to the local store with no problem whatsoever, and then go a new one online. This is one of my top go-to sites.
I bought a shaver to my boyfriend on this website 10 days ago, but i have not received it until today. Is there anyone who has ever bouht things from this website? This website is worth believe?
Charged me for a warranty for an electronic item they cancelled and then wouldn't reimburse me. Had to call and be put on hold several times and was hung up on 3 times. When I finally got a supervisor I was told that I could get my refund in another 3 to 5 business days (for an item I never received). To hold your money hostage is bad business practice. When I repeatedly suggested they don't ship any warranties for items that don't ship, they didn't seem to understand.
It's no surprise that Target.com is identical to the brick and mortart version. I do like that I can find items online that I can't find in the stores. My quibble is that the site doesn't seem to mirror the sales or discounts that are available in-store. I only use the site when I can find what I need in-store. Target is really more of a sensory experience for me and using the site kind of takes away from what makes Target great.
Target website will tell you that they have almost everything "IN STOCK" in almost every store even know all of the stores don't have the items I think they do this so you will still go to their store other stores(Walmart, etc.) tell you online if they are out of stock I like Target stores but their website needs to change A LOT!
Purchased an item online "Black Friday" Was not sure if the store would still have the item. They did, purchased and called customer service to Cancel Online Order and was told it's too late. Hmmmm Come on Target get with Updated Technology or at least state so on your website.
SHOPPERS BEWARE OF BUYING FROM TARGET. THEY DO NOT GIVE A PRICE GUARANTEE EVEN IF IT IS THE NEXT. THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU THE DIFFERENCE OF FULL VS CLEARANCE EVEN IF IT IS THE SAME DAY. RETURNS CAN ONLY BE DONE WITHING TWO WEEKS OF PURCHASE WITH REC, PACKAGE ETC. THEY ALSO LIMIT HOW MANY YOU CAN DO. CALL CORP. AND PROVE IT TO YOURSELF@*******680 PLEASE YOU DO COUNT AND SO DOES YOUR MONEY
Work on your customer service, almost as bad as Walmart! I pay a little more at Target expecting good service, their support is poor. When I just go to the store the service is actually great there. They need to improve or I would not recommend dealing with them online.
We bought some living room furniture and a kitchen set here, the price was decent for what we thought we were getting, but when it arrived some of the furniture was damaged and the quality was only so so.
Of course, maybe it's our fault for buying something like furniture online.
In conclusion, we LOVE the living room furniture set we bought, especially the sofa, we just think it was a little overpriced, while the kitchen set was a total dissapointment. (It looks good, just the quality doesn't match the price.)
We were interested in buying a window fan and wanted to know the shipping cost. At Target.com you have to give them your name, address, and FULL CREDIT CARD DETAILS just to find out the shipping cost! We checked five other major websites and all of them quote shipping cost up front or just ask for your zip code then give you the shipping cost - no personal details or credit card details required!
We wrote to Target.com's customer service dept. and they responded TWICE by saying they can't just give us the shipping cost because it depends on several things. It was a "canned" response which they repeated a second time. And, they said just give us all that personal info and you can cancel the order at the last moment if you don't like the cost. They say they don't retain any of that info if you cancel before hitting the final Submit button. But, when we returned to the website later, they still had our personal information!
Five other online stores including Sears.com, Lowes.com, HomeDepot.com, KMart.com and Costco.com all provided shipping cost WITHOUT making you enter personal information (other than your zip code maybe).
So, if you value your privacy, don't shop at TARGET.COM
Ok, first of all, is there a way to filter by items that are available at a store? If there is, I haven't seen it and have been annoyed MANY times. Sometimes I don't have time to wait for an item to be shipped, so I want to know what the store inventory looks like! Speaking of shipping, I once ordered a bunch of x-mas gifts around the middle of November. Sometime mid December I get an e-mail saying 1/2 of my order is back ordered and won't be delivered until late January, do I still want the rest of my order? NO! Cancel everything, I'll do my shopping on amazon. Not happy with this site, although I do love the store.
Answer: Looks like Target has sent a lot of ringers here to up their ratings in the last few months. Nice try guys but your whole shopping experience is still subpar. To answer this question, IT DEPENDS on where you live and what you order. If you're right next to their warehouse, SURPRISE, it's there in a day and you think they are fantastic. If you live far away, the item is no longer in stock or they are slow to fill it, it could take six weeks. It did for us on a couple of occasions, SO it's the luck of the draw and certainly NOT better than Amazon.
Answer: Be careful. If the item suddenly becomes unavailable that you already paid for you will have to wait 30 days for your refund.
Answer: Sometime from other sites, malware can be picked up to track your internet history. I don't think target's website would carry that!
Answer: I'm sorry. I ordered a lot from target.com and never had a problembefore, but when I finally did have a problem... hours and days on the phone. One of the service techs put me on hold for 30 minutes. Another put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. Horrible.
Answer: I was unable to purchase a prepaid phone card with my gift card. This fact was not disclosed in the product description so I found out at the checkout when it was too late. Now am stuck with the useless gift card. I am very disappointed in Target shopping and will never buy anything from them ever again. I do not recommend Target shopping to anyone. Spare yourself some aggravation and shop elsewhere. Enough said.
