The overall reputation of the company reflects a mix of positive and negative sentiments. Customers appreciate the convenience, product variety, and competitive pricing, particularly praising the store's layout and exclusive brands. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, with reports of long wait times, unresponsive staff, and issues with online orders and returns. Many customers express frustration over outdated products and perceived indifference from management. These trends suggest that while the company offers a strong shopping experience, substantial improvements in customer support and service reliability are needed to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

I recently made a shopping trip to Target as it was the only retail store that had an item I needed. I was at the University store in Sarasota and was amazed at how clean and bright the store is as well has how friendly and helpful the staff are. I was asked by several clerks if i needed help finding anything and they were smiling and more than willing to help. I thought it may have been just a good day so I went to back there again this week and had the same pleasant experience. Personally, I am sick and tired of attitudinal clerks in a major competitive store, where I feel unwelcomed and as if they wish I wasn't in their store at all. Those reviews that state that Target is racist is certainly NOT true by what I saw. I am changing my weekly shopping to Target and I am darn sure the other store will be glad not to deal with me. By the way, I never ask for help itn that other store, I am just glared at and blocked by store clerks stocking the shelves. Nasty way to treat your customers. I'll update my review after I have shopped in Target for awhile. Really looking forward to being treated well and getting my shopping done at the same time.
Horrible business practices! All online shipping estimates are a LIE! They only care about saving themselves money, not shipping your items when promised! I was a fan of Target til I recently placed an order for my kids school supplies. Most of the items had two day shipping but one or two had a date that was after my kids started school. I was ok with those items arriving later but what did target do without notifying me, shipped everything together with the latest arrival date of after my kids are in school! What a waste! And they shipped FEDEX which are the worst carrier out there and never get me my stuff on time! Guess I have to go back to Walmart who actually ships the items in the promised time.
I was in your store at Tempe Marketplace on Friday August 16th and again on Monday August 19th. On both visits I observed a Target cashier wearing a BLM facemask.
Is it company policy to allowyour employees to wear racial political messages on their uniforms? I find this type of behavior completely unacceptable. Why would you want to make your guests feel uncomfortable, and violated in this way? I spoke with the store director, Craig, who said that he fully supports this employee wearing a political logo on her company required uniform. Needless to say, you have lost a lifetime customer due to your political promotion
The manager of store 2565, Kelly Ann is a self entitled bigot who supports bullying, harrassment and HIPPA violations as a business norm. No store manager should ever trash talk an employee on a LOA suffering from the effects of workplace bullying to other employees or fire an upper level manager simply because the are the only poc on the management team.
TARGET IS A PLACE THAT MY WIFE AND I WILL NEVER SHOP IN AGAIN. THEY MAKE RULES FOR CERTAIN PEOPLE, OVER CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS YOU BUY, NOTHING TO BUY IN THE STORE. WALMART IS ONE THOUSAND PERCENT BETTER.
I find Target about third on my list of stores to shop in. Meijer's is my first choice followed by Walmart. Seem to have much better products and prices. The atmosphere seems better for shopping while the two aforementioned are much busier at least in my hometown.
Worst online shopping experience I've ever had!
Not sure where to start, item was damaged during shipping and was returned by Fed Ex. I was told I'd receive another replacement the next day. I did not receive it. Finally called for the third time to fix the problem and my item was out of stock now. My email shows it was delivered to my home but it was not. I asked for a refund and was told I could keep the item that was damaged in shipping but no one could locate it and I was finally told it was sent to be disposed of but to my understanding it belongs to me? So how did they choose to do with my property whatever they please? I will never shop at target again and I will leave this review everywhere I can from this day forward until the contact me to fix it. I spoke with customer service and he was rude and said I could re-purchase the item and I'm not sure why he felt the need to be rude? I'm thinking this could make it into court.
I wanted to say Thanks to Alexis P. At the target on Greenwich in Wichita. I had left my cash back at the store. She researched it and was so nice and helpful. Customer Service is gone these days, but she was amazing. Above and beyond!
No more Target for me. Today I checked online for a portable chair and found the Riverside store had 3. Drove there, long drive for me, and they only had 1. I wanted to buy 2. A month ago I checked online and they had the pickleball paddle that I wanted. Drove there, they were out of stock. Further the lady that helped me said their online inventory is not accurate.
Because I am limited on time I recently purchased items online off of a wedding registry and paid the extra $5.99 per item to have "gift wrapped". There were 3 items total. The ease of ordering I rate a 1. Receiving the items in a timely manner, I give a 10 but I paid $5.99 x 3 a total of $17.97 for target to "wrap" the gifts I purchased and i am so disappointed. First of all, 2 of the 3 items are in a red gift bag, ok that's fine I can deal with that, but the bag looks as if a 5yr old threw it together. There is ribbon around it, about 10 ft too much and a sad attempt for a bow. Secondly one of the items isn't even wrapped, It's in bubble wrap only with my little gift card receipt taped to it. I could be somewhat ok with that if it was then placed In some sort of GIFT WRAP or gift bag but it's just in bubble wrap. Now I have to go to store, buy actual gift wrapping paper and wrap myself which I don't have time for before my event (hence paying the extra fee) way to disappoint target. Very upsetting.
Very disappointed. I don't normally shop at Target but I saw online a white kitchen step pedal trash can exactly what I was looking for. When it was delivered, UPS stuck it in by back enclosed porch. All my deliveries I ever get are left on my front step on my welcome mat. The box was damaged a bit and I noticed the packing tape was short and not taped all the way around. When I opened it the trash can was upside down with no Styrofoam keeping it in place, plus there was no lid. I went to my local target store to see what they could do for me and I brought it in its delivery box. I told the girl I needed the top to it and wanted to keep it. She ignored me and took the barcode on my cellphone and scanned it for a refund. She wasn't listening to me. I showed her the receipt on the phone cause that's what they told me to do over the phone when I bring it in. A clerk there from return department walked over to the isle the trash cans were and there was my lid. It was missing the trash can. I had the trash can but the lid was at the store on the shelf, very strange. I told the lady at the return desk what happened she offered no apology or a possible explanation. I said I wanted to make a complaint. Anyway I got my lid and trash can and I love the trash can just not the UPS delivery of it or the customer service at the Enfield store.
Customer rep gave me store credit for a return and the $ isn't applying once I click into paypal so they keep telling me to click purchase without it and that they will 'waive the fee'. We established earlier means they would give me more store credit as compensation because they kept using the term 'waive' about shipping but wouldn't send me a code - just kept encouraging me to purchase and said they would 'waive' it after. With a lot of back and forth I finally get told that 'waive' means store credit. Which I've just said... doesn't work. Still no refund, would be of $40 (shipping is $6) for a $15 item.
I ordered a product on Target.com. The 3rd party vendor was VM Innovations. A day later was was informed that my order was canceled and I would receive a refund. Lets see if that happens! I looked at reviews for this company and they are a scam. I contacted Target customer service and was told they can't help me because it was through the marketing team. Wait time to talk to the "marketing team" is over an hour. What happened to the old Target? I will NEVER shop on line with them again.
Ordered two items online, only one showed up and I was not happy about the quality. Called and spoke to a nice woman who was very understanding and apologetic. Gave me a full refund.
WORST REGISTRY EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I am never purchasing anything from target again. I am still waiting for my "welcome kit" and it is the end of my pregnancy I am about to have my baby. I was on hold for two hours the other day trying to figure it out with them JUST TO GET HUNG UP ON WHILE ON HOLD! Everytime I try to get help I cannot reach anybody, get a response and waste SSOOOOOOO much time! The very few times I have been able to get ahold of anybody they say "Oh it should work?" They have pissed my friends and family off trying to purchase things off of my registry to get told "ThE aDdReSs Is InCoRrEcT" They have no right to say my address is wrong! How hard is it to put 4 freaking numbers on an address? "BuT tHe CoMpUtEr WoN't LeT uS sEnD iT" So be smarter than the computer? How are you all so incompetent? So now there is a ton of stuff I don't have that I need and my baby is going to be born any moment. They cancelled something I ordered didn't give me my money back and I am just DONE! Like at this point all I want is my freaking welcome kit but they can't get back to me on the phone or answer my emails? It has been months! Why is this so hard? So thank you for wasting all my time pissing me off and completely screwing me over. This review is going on every site, platform, social media possible and I WILL never shop at this trash place again. I would love to see y'all go out of business.
Went to Target Liquor in Waconia, Asked the sales rep how much wine they had of the Roots Cab, she was so polite and professional and after scanning a bottle she told me they had 76 bottles (6.3 cases), I asked her if I could get 3 cases, I drove 40 miles to get there and like that (because of stay at home orders i want to limit visits), she was polite and said yes, she went into the back and out came another sales rep and she told me that she would only sell one case because she does not want to run out over the weekend, I said I understand, please is there any chance I could get 2 cases because I drove 40 miles because I live in central MN and not very polite she said NO and turned away, I said I would get one case, as I was completing the sale she told me I need to call in if I want more than a case and that's the only way it could work. Said ok, I left and went 11 more miles to the Chaska Target, when I went into the store I was greeted by wonderful customer service and I asked if I could get 2 cases of Roots Cab, she said with a nice smile sure and helped me box up 2 cases and was so caring and easy to work with... I guess my suggestion is to go 11 miles more for great customer service in Chaska. In today's world and understanding some people want to limit store visits, customer service is so important
Made an attempt to use on line order. Notice an error in delivery address made several attempts to change through app guidelines, which did not work. Attempted to message, email and call customer service during business hour received no reply.
Target still processed my orders although I kept trying to flag my order in a span of fourty-five minutes and then informed me I couldn't cancel my order through the app any longer and would have to instead wait until my order is delivered to the wrongs address and the addressee send it back.
On top of this the customer service app (not an actual person) advised I contact the shipping company for my items that are all still in the target warehouse with no shipping tracker number. The shipping company has informed me that target has flagged my items where only they can change the address on their part, as I was willing to pay for a delivery change through the shipping company, but unfortunately I can't do that only Target can. Which makes frustratingly funny that they don't answer so I can rely that message
Not trying to be a nag, just wished to share my experience so that others can be weary when attempting to either order online or use customer service. :(
I shop at the Target Tri-County in Cincinnati, Ohio. I love that the staff takes the appropriate measures to sanitize the store- I actually see them do this every time I go- and monitor checkout. Plus the cashiers are nice and there's no crowd. I avoid major grocery stores and shop here, and am just as satisfied with their merchandise. I had to personally thank the cashiers today at checkout!
Answer: Looks like Target has sent a lot of ringers here to up their ratings in the last few months. Nice try guys but your whole shopping experience is still subpar. To answer this question, IT DEPENDS on where you live and what you order. If you're right next to their warehouse, SURPRISE, it's there in a day and you think they are fantastic. If you live far away, the item is no longer in stock or they are slow to fill it, it could take six weeks. It did for us on a couple of occasions, SO it's the luck of the draw and certainly NOT better than Amazon.

Answer: Be careful. If the item suddenly becomes unavailable that you already paid for you will have to wait 30 days for your refund.
Answer: Sometime from other sites, malware can be picked up to track your internet history. I don't think target's website would carry that!
Answer: I'm sorry. I ordered a lot from target.com and never had a problembefore, but when I finally did have a problem... hours and days on the phone. One of the service techs put me on hold for 30 minutes. Another put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. Horrible.
Answer: I was unable to purchase a prepaid phone card with my gift card. This fact was not disclosed in the product description so I found out at the checkout when it was too late. Now am stuck with the useless gift card. I am very disappointed in Target shopping and will never buy anything from them ever again. I do not recommend Target shopping to anyone. Spare yourself some aggravation and shop elsewhere. Enough said.
