I got here at 11:30. It's now 12:12. There is only one car in front of me all I came for was a damn oil change. Don't come here if you wanna have the rest your day free. I want my money comped for being here so long and my gas wasted
Normally I would change my own oil as I am an Amsoil independent distributor. But I was going on a road trip and was short on time, so I went to the Orange Park, FL location for a change. First off….it's waaay overpriced. But now it's time for another oil change and I decided to do my own. I have a Nissan Frontier and there is a small cover plate that has to be removed to get access to the filter. When I removed the cover, the first thing I noticed is the WIX filter (from Amsoil) that I installed on the previous oil change. Take5 does not buy their oil filters from Amsoil. They didn't take 30 seconds to pull the plate and they never changed the oil filter.
This shows a complete lack of honesty and quality. I would say you get what you pay for…but based on the price I paid and what I got, that would be incorrect. I did call them but got forwarded to a corporate customer service. But wanted to let them know what happened and that I will never give them the opportunity to correct this.
It would be very possible that they don't bother tightening the drain plug or oil cap. I can't even trust that I get the synthetic oil I paid for. If I had catastrophic failure of my engine, they certainly wouldn't take responsibility and I would be screwed.
I will take the time to change my own oil so at least I know it's done correctly.
Very expensive price,customer service zero,, they charge oil but they break something else I recommend not to go there
Avoid this place at all cost. I went for an oil change and they broke my dipstick when checking the oil level. Then they tried to crazy glue it back together. When that failed they told me after I paid the bill that my dipstick was seized and couldn't be removed. Took a mechanic 2 hours to remove the broken dipstick. Don't let these people near your car.
My 2nd time at a Take 5 and as expected all was great.
No waiting, did not try to sell anything, in and out in 15 mins.
The plus was I downloaded and used a coupon saving $18
Only wish they still used Castrol brand oil.
Went in for an oil change, this location didn't have the regular oil filter for our vehicle, manager said I could pay a$15 up charge for another filter, I said no I wasn't going to pay extra. He then told us to go to another take 5 location. So we did, when we arrived the technician said they would not service us because the other manager said my demeanor was bad and that I said bad language to them. So we left. Making false accusations about someone is wrong and not ethical and is just an out right lie.Have spent many hundreds of dollars with them without any problems. Just a note: Buyers beware!
Brought my vehicle in to Take 5 for State Inspection where I was instructed to pull my car into one of the bays. After a considerably lengthy wait time an employee took my personal information including my email address and entered it into their computer system. In my opinion they did not need my email address. Then I was instructed to get out of my car and walk across the bays which were very slippery. This was unsafe, and this company is inevitably going to get itself into legal trouble when someone falls and sues them. Why would they have customers who may be elderly or women wearing high heel shoes walk across an incredibly slick surface as part of their inspection routine?
My car has confused some companies when getting an oil change resulting in having to take it back and correct. Take 5 did it right the first time, it was really fast, and I didn't have to leave my car. They also gave me a bottled water which was a nice touch.
It's my first visit to the Fort Wayne branch and I must say, I received exceptional service. Michael and Jonah were the ones who serviced my vehicle. They were amazing. They've made a repeat customer out of me.
I had my oul changed a werk ago at take 5. I specificlly asked if they checked all fluids oh yes they always do? Well 8 days after my car over heated had to be towed mechanic $$? Why? Because take 5 didnt ck or fill coolent? And they said theyd order a oil filter they didnt have one? I pd for it and when i went bk tiday to ask fir my $$ bk for all services no filter bk ordered? Lie after lie and no customer service? And oh not their fsult must have a leak? Well dont they think the mechanic cked that? Yes ge did? No leak? Bad all around. When i was there getting oil change 2 other xx customers where in line about something they did to their cars? And no 00 ther either not their fault? And obviously they own 0 of their poor service? If id not been lied to the water/ cookent was # 1 thing id checked? But i never thiught theyd outrite lie? After doing a 1/2 assed poor job?. They wont be around for long! A shame bcause its a good concept. Time / stay in ur car? But. Management that refuses to even 0 a cust complaint and laughs and talks trash about them after they leave. In front of the custs there? Isnt management material? And will take them down. Thers too many itger quick lube bussiness's. That do their job and stsying in my car isnt as important as doing what they say they do? And lying to custs? Kiss ur self good bye
I am an 82 year old senior and I will never return again. Here are the services they did not do.didn't check cabin air filter, did not top up washer fluid, and thy did not check my lights. They checked the air pressure on my passenger side [I think they did] but they did not to the passenger side of the car. VERY disappointed. I don't know how t send a picture but the Invoice # is 114-*******. I went to the one in St Catharines, Ontario
I was going out of town and decided to get my oil changed before hitting the road. Took my car to Take 5 at Garland Ave and Walnut St. In Garland Tx. They changed the oil and a filter. I then drove to Houston, Tx. Was about to return home and my car wasn't driving right. Took car to mechanic and one of the issues per the mechanic was that whoever did my last oil change did not replace the oil plug correctly and oil was very low. This was concerning as 2 days prior I had my oil changed by Take 5. I had to pay again for oil. When I reached out to Take 5 they indicated that they do not touch the oil plug. Asked around and got the same response from everyone I asked that they had to remove the oil plug to drain the oil from the car. I definitely will never take my car back to them and hope I can get the word out to people to find another place for your oil changes.
Wited a little long at the line but the guy gave us a bottle of water great start. From there all hell broke loose, the young very young lady told us that the economy oil is trash yes exactly that word trash. My question is why would you even sell trash. The whole time there are trying to upswell you without offering features and benefits, they need better sales training and they need to learn how to speak and treat people right no matter the age. We are consumers and in this damn age we have to work harder for our money. I told them to put my hood down and ran out like a bat out of hell. Will neve ever go back.
I had my oil changed at Marion IL. Immediately had oil leak after leaving. Returned to location and they declined to help or accept responsibility. Horrible customer service and I won't be returning.
Forgot to add the gasket for one reason or another on my transmission fluid plug and nearly destroyed my transmission with a slow 2 month long leak even with no leaks checked on the purchase order. 3 hours and no call back with resolution today. Pretty dismal customer service when there's a problem on their end. All I needed to know was the type of transmission fluid and they couldn't even tell me this on the phone - just explain what the item on the work order means? Trust completely eroded. Never going back for any reason and wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.
This is the price of convenience. Will be investigating to see what damage this caused.
Worst experience ever, as I was told a different price for the cabin filter and they would not honor the price they told me, very dishonest and misleading. Today I went to the location on 67 Ave and Indian School. Sergio was there with another guy and 2 ladies working. I was told by the guy who changed my cabin filter that the price was $20 per they had the promotion on it, and the original price is $49.99, so I told him that I would change it.
I was there waiting and serviced in over 2 hours time frame, as there is new personnel and the waiting was excessively long.
Sergio the person in charge said he would give me a discount of 25% off per the very long wait. I thanked him.
When I am about to pay I was told the total was about $190 and I questioned why if the only difference this time on my service is the cabin filter which is only $20 more than the usual service. The guy went and came back and said he had fixed the correct price for everything. Then I was still charged the $161.58 which I noticed after he had me run my card and entering my PIN. I told him it was still incorrect and there was a lady that came and I explained to her I was quoted differently for the cabin filter and told her they were charging full price. I added all the amounts and told her Sergio had said he as going to give me the 25% discount and my totals would be the $99.99 for the oil $1 fee $3.99 fee $26 for engine air filter which is a total of $130.98 plus the 25% off discount than it would be $98.24 and if they add the $20 for the cabin filter it would be about $120. They were committing fraud as they raised the price on the service to honor the 25% discount, and never did Sergio come to assist me or to fix this situation. She then told me she would void the transaction and it would be back in my account in 2-3 days and they would charge me again the $137.42 and they put the dirty engine filter back on!
My family and I have been loyal customers to the location on 67 Ave and Indian School in Phoenix AZ for about 2 years, ever since Derrick was there with the young lady with colored hair as I cannot recall her name, and never had I experienced this type of unacceptable service. The worst experience when the person in charge who is Sergio could not even come to assist me and honor his word.
I was told on the phone it would be $x. I paid almost double that. They said I was not eligible for economy which has never been true before. They added a "special" filter because they were "trying to take care of me". Super slimy, dishonest sales stuff going on here. Gross!

They stripped my oil filter case 3 visits ago and said a new one would be ordered & ready for my next visit. Two oil changes later, no replacement case yet. More importantly, today they drained the old oil but neglected to add new oil. I told the tech & he replied "Yes we did". No Sir you did not! The oil pressure warning went off as soon as I started it! "That happens with your EcoBoost engine on 1st start up (nonsense) but it is a little low so I will add more". I then watched him pour in 3 quarts of oil, check the dipstick, then pour in 3 MORE quarts (my truck requires 6qts)... Accidents happen and people forget steps, but do not lie to me and/or assume I am an idiot! I was in my truck the entire time. I literally watched you add all 6qts AFTER start up

Showed a twenty dollar coupon going in he said it was good. Learned the email coupon I had was no good, no bar code on it after they finished. It was not a good experience. Gone for good.
