T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

I have had Verizon for over 20 years and it's quite pricey. So with all these T Mobile commercials we were going to make the switch. We wanted to keep our phones and phone number. They required a card on file but I was advised I would not be charged anything until we switched our phones and started with them. They sent me SIMcards which we received 3 days after my conversationwith them. In the meantime I still hadn't received any confirmation from them regarding the monthly charge, and plan info which was to include unlimited data, talk and text in writing. I advised them that until I got a confirmation of monthly charge, etc... I will not switch phones. (Keep in mind, we are now 2 weeks in). Eventually after receiving emails in return with double talk and still no confirmation I asked them to cancel the switch and if we decide to go with T-Mobile we will go to a kiosk.
Well... I happen to have had a small pile of mail from about a weeks ago that I hadn't had the opportunity to look at because it was picked up by my teenager and put in the wrong place. In that pile was a notice from T-Mobile that stated that in order for them to continue service they would require a deposit. Basically, had I did what they wanted and switched all of our phones over, they would have then cut the service until they got this deposit. And they still never gave me monthly charge info in writing. After laughing and being very happy that I never made that change, I decided to write this review because my guess is they probably do this to people that may end up with no service or much higher monthly charges then they anticipated.
We are still probably going to change carriers eventually but definitely not T mobile.

I called 3 times about charges that is incorrect to my bill, This continues to happen for months. Everytime I called, they tell me it is resolved but then lie how they want me as a customer and yes me to death with saying they will take care of everything BUT they just lie to get me off the phone and then nothing happens. This is the worst phone service place to go to, I would not recommend T Mobile.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING SIGNING UP WITH T MOBILE. I would have given 0 stars if it allowed me to. I do not recommend using this provider. They falsely advertise their promotions. When signing up we were told by multiple customer service representatives that T-Mobile would cover 100% of the remaining balances of the phone lines with our previous provider. After being with T-Mobile for 3 months the balance has not been paid. I spent multiple days on phone with multiple customer service representatives. Each representative was not helpful. I was told more than 3 times that I would be sent prepaid credit cards for $600 on each card. I never received a card. I was told multiple times that a supervisor would contact me on that day. I never received a call. I have not gotten reimbursed for the payment I made on the remaining balance of my phone lines with my previous provider.

Back when 2g was a thing, T-Mobile disabled one of the towers in town and were converting it 3g (at least this is what they told me). After that, I had no signal for 90% of my day while living in a major city, where I previously had signal. I called and complained. They sent me some equipment to get better signal in the house. I now had no signal for only 80% of the day! Wow. I called repeatedly and they wouldn't do anything about it, which is breaching the contract by not providing service. So I shut off my account and sent the equipment back through a sanctioned method. A month later, I got a bill for the rest of the contract AND the equipment I returned and they refused to work with me. It's $1245. They continue to post it to my credit too as I will NEVER pay them for this unlawful bill. I hired a lawyer and made one of their third party collectors drop it, which sent it back to TMOBILE, and they sent it to a new collector. So, plan 2, we're going to continue to fight it and tell everyone about T-Mobile's embarrassingly horrible service.

So... we decided we would try the new home internet that T Mobile is so proud of. Well 2 weeks after making that decision, I am done. I have spent more than 4 hours on the phone with nine representatives. I have been transfered, hung up on, issued a new router and I still have no internet service. This last week, I went on vacation. The representative that I have been working with said she would suspend my account while I was gone if I would allow her to continue troubleshooting once I returned home. I don't know why I am surprised that my account was charged for service that I have yet to receive. We returned home from vacation yesterday and the representative called me tonight to continue helping me. I told her that I was done, cancel the service, at which point she explains to me that I can only get half of my money back. T Mobile seriously charged me for a service I was never able to use, not to mention the hours of my time invested for nothing. PLEASE THINK TWICE.

I had Sprint before T-Mobile merger. Was required to add a SIMS card to phone. I have experienced a lag in reception along with not receiving voicemails immediately. Several voicemails left on 6/18 just came thru today 6/27. Called *2 to inform and was placed on hold and eventually call disconnected. (Call time 18mins) no return call and of course it's required to confirm the phone number your calling from. Not Ok, poor service all around!

Been a TMobile customer for 20+ they used to have the best customer service. Now it is the worst... they say we have a team of experts (yes we used to) NOT any longer. I changed plans to save money and things have been completely messed up. They have no clue what is going on. They are taking more more money out of my account than what my previous bill was and my account on line is showing past due. I am frustrated. Never have I had to deal with such bad customer service that can not resolve issues. Wait time is horrible, used to be able to get a call back... well no longer. As I said I mentioned I stayed with Tmobile for so long because customer service was good. Looking for a new provider!

BAIT AND SWITCH
June 2, 2021

CAUTION!
I was considering adding 2 additional lines of service to the 2 that I already had and the TM rep 'sold' me on the fact that if I added these 2 additional lines (for a total of 4 lines) that the 4th line would be at no charge so I approved this and SIM cards were sent to me. Once the SIM cards arrived I went to the TM store for the set-up and (once again) the in-store TM rep assured me that 1 of the additional lines would be at 'no charge' so I approved the set up and walked out a happy customer. Several days later I located my upcoming bill on-line and to my surprise the additional line was NOT no charge. After several attempts with customer service to resolve this I can't get ANYONE on the phone that can solve this for me. It's too bad too, the service is good, the rates are good but to get me to move 4 lines from a previous carrier to TM (based on info that 2 TM employee's gave to me) and then NOT provide the agree'd upon terms is simply NOT good business TM, I expected more.

I love the way customer service upgrades the acct benefit for the month if customer has a complaint. They are really trying to make customers happy which is excellent service. However, I returned a phone back to tmobile irmo location and mngr issued me refund paper and said corporate off will mail me check. That was 3 months ago. I'm going round in circles with customer service and the store Mngr for 3 months to get my $180 refund. T-Mobile needs to have a better way to get refunds issued to customers 4 valid returns. 3 months is way too long. When store Mngr said T-Mobile would send me email to resolve the refund issue, T-Mobile just sent me email to go back to the store manager. I went to the store Mngr 4-5 times regarding my refund. I hope to get my refund soon! I spend lots of money, time and gas money to keep going back to the store Mngr regarding my refund. I call customer service and they always refer me back to the store Mngr. One time, the store worker told me there's nothing they can do to help me since the corporate office is the one that issues refund checks. I got the impression that the store isn't allowed to issue me a cash refund because their store doesn't hold that much money?

Misleading
April 18, 2021

Very disappointed, very misleading about the free tablet or watch that after purchasing a phone now they wanted money for the FREE watch, it's not free we don't even get a full charger just a cord no wall plug no headphones and apparently nothing was readily available so if the premo ends you get none of the so-called FREE items. Nothing the way business was done at this store made me at all comfortable.the plan doesn't exist just more and more money. Will never deal with this company again.

They deserve negative 14 rating. I was forced to pick 1 star. Tmobile experts my left toenail. 3rd time not a charm. THEY LIE. Say "free" to close the deal then you get a $275 bill for the "free" equipment. Billing wrong and over charged EVERY single month. Hours on the phone twice a month to correct. I was told it was corrected and here comes another outrageous bill for products and services that I never ordered or received. Don't Don't Don't fall for it. They are horrible! Hidden charges? You bet in spades. All three experiences with them over 10 years exactly the same. Oh! And let's not talk about their 5g network that drops calls and crashes your phone internet. They are "expert" rip-offs and liars. Straight Talk. No issues and very affordable and fabulous customer service. No taxes, hidden fees, wrong billing, hours on the phone with dummies, dropped calls and service coverage better than anyone else that I've used. 83% of reviews are bad. Go figure. Have an awesome day ya'all!

I would never trust T-Mobile if you have there service. Was very trusting and ripped off for a lot of money. When I canceled and switched to Verizon they said I owed a lot for my phones and every month after paying what I was told my last bill they sent another bill payed that and they sent my account to a collection agency. Spent menu hours of my time and over $1000 dollars to switch to Verizon. T-Mobile offered me $600 to stay I cringe every time I see there commercials. Wish I was able to Sue them horrible costumer service. Charged me for insurance that I didn't know I was paying then when my phone broke they wanted $800 for a phone I payed $400 on Amazon.

I would give them 0 stars. The most horrific experience after being their customer for 11 years almost... Worst customer service ever, with people that are lying in your face when actually don't want or cannot resolve your issues, worst signal and especially if you have a 5G phone don't expect to have 5G signal anywhere. Also I've bought a $1400 Samsung Galaxy S 20 Ultra 5G from them and after only 3 months didn't work properly and they've done nothing for 6 months of weekly complaining. In the end they changed it with a refurbished one the blocked after 2 days. So please do yourself a favor find a better option, my experience was traumatic as I lost many days on the phone with them, not hours, in 6 months I've lost days! Just yesterday the whole day until past midnight when I was done with them for good.

Wish I could give 0 stars or negative stars. They are crooked and lie and keep charging me after my phone has been off for three months and I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and t-mobile sends me a collections letter with an additional charge for my payment not going through, I have spent hours on the phone with their customer service over time since making the mistake to switch to them and they DO NOT resolve anything. Last time they put me on hold and after 30 min on hold I hung up. Complete crap of a company! Do not do business with them

I was a Sprint customer for many years and happy. In 2020, they merged with T-Mobil and I have had nothing but problems. Terrible service, cell and customer. I have a ongoing 6 month issue that they have used every loophole possible to get out of insurance replacement 2 phones now and terrible service. It will now go to small claims court to resolve. It seemed to me impossible to get information and help from anyone. Pushed from person to person with nothing ever resolved.

Just want to submit a comment. T-Mobile does great for deals for new customers but not for current customers. Especially customers that have been on android and want to switch to iphone. Have no prior iPhone to exchange. Only android. The only way to get a good deal on new iphone is to switch phone companies. All companies have this issue, not just T-Mobile where they have great deals for bringing on new customers just not for current customers. Something to think about.
