T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

Upgrade to the iPhone 13 Pro ON US up to $1000 on eligible trade in.
ON US. In the United States, ON US means free. Drinks are ON US means we pay. The ad implies that current customers, such as myself, can upgrade to the iPhone 13 Pro FOR FREE, because it is on T-mobile. (FREE to me) This is deceptive, in other words, FALSE ADVERTISING. Having an iPhone 8 to trade in gets me $85 (in monthly bill credits over 30 months). That is no where near $1000 and in no way is this upgrade going to be FREE to me. I currently have 4 phones, 2 Smart watches and an iPad on the account and have been with T-mobile for many years. Imagine my disappointment.:(
Now, this evening, I see a tv ad for NEW customers, no trade-in required, simply port your number from your current carrier over to T-Mobile and get the iPhone 12 ON US. This tells me that NEW customers can get the iPhone 12 for FREE. What can I do to upgrade to the iPhone 12 as a current customer? I would have to pay for the phone. Even at half price, which the representative on the phone implied was a legit offer, this is not FREE and not fair to long-term T-Mobile customers.
I have canceled the pre-order for the iPhone 13 Pro.
I am more than dissatisfied with T-mobile. And THAT is ON THEM!

I started out with Nextel with two phone lines. As the account holder. Then sprint bought Nextel. I added a third line. Then T-Mobile bought Sprint. Now I find myself no longer the account holder and not be able to make changes to the account I pay for. This done without my permission. Aw. Gee, I guess I can toss this phone in the trash and move on with a different phone company. My money is good to move on.

So T Mobile is not that good in my opinion. Their shops don't have backup support. The first guy to help did not know his $#*! from Uranus. The second guy was much more helpful but could not help. 2nd LG I bought is crap and T Mobile is worthless to me

Zero Stars!
September 10, 2021

T-mobile would not release my phones after I paid for them. They changed my contract without permission, then when I replaced the phones 3 months later after 3 attempts to get them to unlock the phones, and 3 months with zero communication they "claimed" they released the phones because I gave it away because I gave it to someone on their network. Phones still aren't released.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. T-Mobile claims to be one of "the best" providers but I pay $300 or more a month, for mine and my husband's phones, but we have no service, unless we are connected to WiFi. Never had this problem with Sprint and I wish they would have NEVER merged. Save your money! Go ANYWHERE else!

Horrible support
August 27, 2021

Maybe good pricing to hook you but to make the transition over is awful. Calling customer or tech support is like insane! They outsource to India and they speak broken English And lots of background noise! I called six different times…I finally decided to cancel the entire order and went back or stayed with Verizon.

Auto-Withdrawal Pulled $490!

My fiance became a customer in December 2020, and by the end of January 2021, he moved out in order to do a complete home remodel.

He paid for 4 months of service even though no internet was used. (Approximately $200+)

Once he moved back in, the less-than-6-month old router wouldn't connect for service. We contacted customer service, and the agent sent us a new router immediately.

I asked what to do with the other router, but since it was defective, she didn't think it would need to be sent back... BUT... watch for an email just in case.

Nearly 2 months passed (no email), so the router was discarded (by us).

The only email we received was to tell us we were going to get charged $490 for not returning the old equipment.

(It gets worse.)

I'm on my THIRD phone call to T-Mobile to find resolution. (Mind you, these take approximately 2 hours each.)

Long story short, they were going to pause the auto-withdrawal of $490 so they could review the audio recordings of the phone calls and then call me within 7 days to let me know of their findings.

Anyway, they haven't done ANYTHING they have promised, and on top of that, pulled the $490 payment from our checking account the DAY BEFORE we leave for Mexico, so...

I feel I should not only get the $490 equipment fee refunded, but now after all of this, the $225 we paid in order to "do the right thing" during the home remodel.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION

Horrible
August 23, 2021

The absolute worst people to ever deal with! No one knows what they are doing when u call. All I wanted to do was order a new phone and it was the worst experience of my life! I wish I could give T-Mobile 0 stars. When I called probably the 5th time in one day about the phone I was trying to order they told me they didn't have my phone number, email or even the order number on file lol I said that's funny that you don't have any of that info but withdraw money from my account to pay my bill automatically every month which has never ever been late …. Total idiots!

I was a long-time Verizon Wireless customer. Yesterday, our family switched to T-Mobile simply because T-Mobile offered my father a $1,000 credit on a $1,800 phone that he wants to buy. After I switched to T-Mobile, I could not use my phone for more than 12 hours because it was locked to the Verizon network. Then, when I tried to make or receive calls, the person on the other end could not hear what I was saying. David Sando, the manager of the Fullerton Amerige Heights Town Center store helped me by giving me a new SIM card. As soon as I got home, I began to experience the same exact problem. When I try to make or receive calls, the person on the other end cannot hear what I am saying. Tomorrow, I am going back to Verizon Wireless. T-Mobile phone service sucks.

Poor customer service
August 3, 2021

We live in an area that is supposed to have 5G service from T Mobile so we signed up for high speed home internet. It took about 2 months to get the "gateway" device and once it arrived I set it up. We could only get "poor" internet service wit a maximum of 5MBPS, usually a lot less if there is such a thing. In attempting to return the device entailed about 10 phone calls over 2 days and many hours on hold and frequent disconnects. Never more for T Mobile

They sold me screen protectors for my I phone 11s. Lifetime warranty l. When it broke I returned to the store. Waited 23 minutes to speak to a representative. He told me it would be mailed to me. I waited 33 days and returned to the store. No wait this time. I was told it wasn't ordered however he ordered again. He said I should receive it in a week or two. I will than have to return to the store for the 3rd time to hopefully have it installed. Wear and tear on my car, gas, my time (3 trips) is worth a lot more than the $50 they charged me for a $3 screen. They should be ashamed!

So I've had Boost Mobile since it was Revel and all I have to say about this service is the fact that you pay for unlimited but what you're paying for is the fact of when you hit a certain amount of data they will throttle or slow your speeds down which is ridiculous and very unethical for a company to do if you are offering unlimited services to your customers and then when you then cut into their service and throttle their speed and completely take away any activation with people who need to use their phones for work for entertainment purposes you are liable and I'm pretty sure that you're going to get sued by multiple customers for this practice you need to stop throttling people speeds when they reach a certain amount of gigabytes it is very unethical and if you see it in your hearts to understand that if the net neutrality was never ratified you would have been sued left and right by every customer you have ever had I had T-Mobile back in the day and when I had it I couldn't keep a phone call going for 30 minutes you would cut the phone call off after 30 minutes of connection you guys are ridiculous with this and just because you bought out Sprint now I have to deal with you guys throttling and slowing my speeds down because you guys have horrible business practices I will never ever use T-Mobile again after this next month I will be getting another phone company because you guys are douchebags with this practice I really hope that my review has been shown to your customers this is downright criminal extortion when it comes to using your service there is no reason for you to cut speeds or throttle data because UD prioritize your customers it is a wrong practice and I hope you guys go bankrupt and get sued all over the place

I left Team Mobile years ago because the service was unbelievably rotten. I went to Sprint. Very good service and not any problems. How it should be when paying big bucks for phones and service. Then the nightmare happened. Bought out be Team Cr¥p!. Since day one when they destroyed Sprint it keeps getting worse. Drop calls, slow internet, deal with call people in Foreign Countries. Well today they came out in full force. Text not going threw. Drop calls. Internet not working. I call the store near me and they are lost. Call Team Mobile what a joke!. So now I'm in limbo. Lost work because of this Company. Bull$hit excuses from employees. I'm done. They actually found a way to kill a good company. Take my advice and run from this company. You do not need the headaches and aggravation.
