T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

T moble are liars, once you sign a contract, my phones are 7 years old, if i get a new phone i must pay full price. While new customers get free phones. I pay auto pay, for 7 years all payments made on time, but still i am craped on. And do not let them tell you the plan never changes. This is a lie. It continually goes up, and any upgrades, they charge through the nose. And tell you if you do not like it go elsewhere, t moble does not care.

I had a promotion from T-Mobile where you give your old iphone for $850 billing credit, which I did for my daughter phone, and got new iphone in exchange, after sometime I noticed that I am not getting billing credit which was suppose to be for 28 months, upon calling customer service several times and spending hours in explaining my case and getting transferred from one department to another and sometime, my call was dropped or simply they just hung up on me. I came to know that it was a system glitch which they realized and acknowledge their mistake but I was told that since I am late in getting back to them and they have no means to put this promotion back to my account, simply in other words get lost we don't want to give you your credit of $850. I was shocked, as I have five line services with them and they treated me with utmost disrespect, almost after a month someone from their business department phone and told me that they are very sorry and accept their mistake but they cannot do anything for me at this time, worst customer service and where you go there is no T-Mobile service, fake advertisement that they had cell tower all across US, total BS

Avoid these cons
November 9, 2023

I upgraded my phone and was told my bill would not increase. I was also told that they would bill me monthly for the new phone but provide an equal credit as long as I stayed a customer. Instead I got a bill that was increased and the phone charge didn't have a credit the first month. Now they're making me dump using my credit card for autopay and either use my debit card (a terrible security issue) or give them my bank info (another stupid security issue). I don't do business with scum like this and neither should you.

The iPhone "on us" could not be further from the truth. You pay lots for it and then after you get the phone they tell you that the promotion was you agreed to also be on a higher plan every month but they don't tell you any of this until after you agree and you already have the phone. This company is a rip off. I left Verizon because of too expensive but at least they were up front about your charges. I will be going back to Verizon

Worst provider in the game
November 8, 2023

T-Mobile might be the most fraudulent company I have ever had the displeasure of using. I had cancelled their internet and switched to Verizon. After reaching out multiple times, I now owe an extra $220.00 because they are shady and won't cancel my internet. I'd like to breakdown why you shouldn't use their service, both for internet and for Wi-Fi… and hopefully save you some hair.
1. Verizon internet may be cheaper in your area, and is twice as fast (evident for me at least).
2. Their customer service is lackluster: long times on phone with people who have no idea how to help you.
3. Hard to cancel: They are a pain in the rear to cancel with. Has to be over the phone, this is an issue because #2.
4. Their cellular service is lackluster as well. I have been a customer of three service providers between growing up, moving out, and as an adult. Nothing has come close to as spotty and inconsistent as t-mobile.

I'm really am tired of t-mobile. I suppose other carriers are just as bad. This time the problem is I was told if I paid a certain amount I would have Netflix free. I couldn't set it up took time to take public transportation to the store they couldn't set it up. Had to take more time calling them come to find out I had to have two lines and then I would get netflix. This time I mean it I'm going to go check out Verizon and hope there's somewhat better.
Goodbye T-Mobile

It honestly doesn't matter what I write here anyways. T-Mobile doesn't care nor checks on its reviews & they know they are beyond awful when it comes to customer service. I gave this review 2 stars to show it's not a troll review. 2 is as low as I go, & within regards to T-Mobile, 0.25/5 is my actual rating. It's almost as if they take pride in delivering the worst customer service in the industry, because they know the choices in the industry are limited, and people are going to have to make one to get service. I spent my entire day driving 45 miles round trip to try to cancel out my 15 year account with them, because I thought that they wrapped this up six months prior. By doing this, it cost me substantially in time & money. But the shop and staff over the phone at customer service only sent me on a wild goose chase that took out a quarter tank of gas on a $400 bill that I didn't know I had to pay. The more I go into this, the more I realize why leaving this merged Kraken of a nightmarish monster of a company was a great idea. They don't care about their veteran customers. They only care about money & new customers that they can buy into their scheme & it shows. I feel super violated having to go to the extent that I have to handle in what should be a typical simple business call & transaction. This wasn't just from 1 experience, but multiple, multiple experiences. I'm tired of feeling forgotten with T-Mobile, after having been with them for 15 years. And it's part of why I've left.

Business-wise, my best tip is to stay the hell away from T-Mobile, and seek other carrier options out.

Line Cancellation
October 31, 2023

Approximately 4 years ago I purchased a 2 galaxy watches with T-Mobile. One of the watches was damaged and T-Mobile exchanged it for another watch and that required opening another account. The store clerk assured me that the first account would be canceled., After receiving my first bill I noticed I was now being charged for the 3 watches they are under wearables in the T-Mobile bill statement. I called again to explained that I only had 2 watches and the extra line they charged for was no longer owned by me. They said they would refund me and cancel. I trusted T-Mobile with that. So today October 31,2023 I decided to check my bill and noticed T-Mobile was still charging me for that 3rd line (wearable). I reached out to customer service and they said they have canceled it and that they would only refund me $30. I brought up the fact that they owe me about 4 years worth, so they flipped it on me saying I should have checked my bill monthly and called them and they cant go back that far. Why after multiple attempts to cancel and being told it was taking care of I should have to keep calling about the same issue. I trusted the problem to be solved. I been a customer for about 20 years. I'm so disappointed in T-Mobile. I added a line about a a few months ago and was told I get a free phone and then they said no free phone because of my plan. T-Mobile you treating your faithful customers that been with you for over 10 years like crap. I should be refunded for the watch.

Disappointed customer
October 30, 2023

My problem with T-Mobile is they Suck. I waited at their store for help 3 times but the wait is so long you have to go an attend your other appointments. I've called 3 times and have waited over 45 for a customer service agent. All this waiting, just to pay my bill. Obviously now is a late payment. Don't let me start on the service on a brand new IPhone.! I wouldn't recommend this company and as soon as I finish paying my phone I'm switching to AT&T.

Horrible customer care
October 26, 2023

I was a Sprint customer and had to become a T-Mobile customer and it has been way worse ever since they don't even want to try to help you I've been paying $90 phone bill without thinking. To find out that's a rip off so I called up to see if there is something they could do about it and they absolutely didn't want to help in any way shape or form. In fact, they were trying to avoid it because they probably knew I was going to switch over and kept tell me it was an authorized funny because I did when I was with sprint I could do everything. I will make sure to cancel now my T-Mobile plan.

My elderly parents had T-mobile and were on a month to month plan no contract. My 75 year old Navy veteran father is smarter than that to sign anything contract wise. My 70 year old mother would refer to my father before doing that as well. My sister and I spent over two hours at there home trying to transfer service from T-mobile to a different carrier. We had to call T-mobile three times to get pin numbers to make the transfer mind you not once was in mentioned that there was a early termination fee or that the phones would be blocked. We called back a third time to discuss the fact that they were not under contract and to see about getting the block removed and TRISHA agent number ******* only kept repeating that we just need to pay the fee. When asking to speak to a supervisor or manager she just kept repeating pay the fee pay the fee and I can not transfer you just pay the fee. They will not be paying this company any money going forward. This is unacceptable to take advantage of the older generation shame on you!
