T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

My family is extremely frustrated and have been in the store and on the phone with representatives for hours being transferred and hung up on over and over. We canceled the account in August 2021, and are still being charged almost $150 every month by auto pay to this day, thats 10 months of charges. Because our account is closed, customer service cannot access our account with our phone numbers, address, and pin. We have been charged $1400 for having no phone lines with them and they won't stop the charges because they can't access our closed account. This is outrageous. There are many other customers who have written reviews about this exact problem happening to them also. We are beyond frustrated with this and can't speak with anyone who has the authority to resolve this.

Have been with T-Mobile for only about 1.5 months - have spent literally HOURS on the phone or in the local store trying to resolve problems - I have been without Voice Mail for over half of the time - it seems no one knows how to resolve a problem. Initially my voice mails were being converted to text messages (with no audio recording in my iphone voicemail phone app) - when I complained, they finally eliminated the "voice to text", but then I had NO voicemails at all (callers would get NOTHING when they called - no answer, just a dropped call - no recording, custom or default - no opportunity to record a message). Over the weekend a "T Mobile Expert" supposedly fixed the issue, but by Tuesday - same issue - though the caller can record a voice mail, it does not end up in the phone app on the iphone - have to go through a convoluted process to obtain the voice mail, but how do you know you even have one when there is no alert?. This is so crazy - voice mail is a fundamental part of cell phone service - why can't this be fixed? Have spent over 3 hours on the phone - (3 dropped calls - the "Expert" called me back twice, but I guess he can't figure it out cause NO CALL BACK)... NEVER had an issue like this with Verizon - why did I leave? (Oh yeah, the regularly increasing costs and hidden fees - suppose you get what you pay for though - fixed cost at TMobile, but no one can solve issues!) STILL NO RESOLUTION.

I upgraded my phone back in March. I entered the number they asked, it upgraded my phone. I got the new one and returned the old one for credit but now I'm paying for both phone when T-Mobile has confirmed they received my phone. Apparently there are 2 different numbers and only one is correct but their system allowed me to enter the wrong number on the phone so it upgraded my line by mistake. This was not something I was aware of till much later. Because of this I am paying for a phone I no longer have and T-Mobile has possession of. I have spoke to several employees who were going to get it resolved and provide a credit for them to only come back with blaming me that their system allowed me to enter the wrong number to get an upgrade. They denied my request to send the old phone back since I was paying for it. They are not helping me at all on this matter. All they are doing is blaming me for an error in there system. I'm paying $90 extra a month because of this phone and another one on my line that was stolen. Charging a customer for a phone they have in their possession is flat out ridiculous. How can you charge me for something you have confirmed you have back? It's completely messed up what they are doing and taking advantage of a situation the customer had no idea was even a possibility!

I've been using Mint mobile for a while but the service in my area wasn't great so I decided to try TMobile. Their service is flawless but GOSH it's been a rough ride. I call on the weekend when I get my new sim in the mail (my previous carrier used esim but TMobile decided my phone actually couldn't support that, who knew?) and right away notice I got a temporary number instead of the number I gave them online. Weird. I call TMobile, give them all my Mint information again and they say I'll hear back in 24 hours. Two days later I call back and lo and behold my transfer was lever set up. So person 2 helps me do all the same stuff again, great. Well they mistyped my number and ported over the wrong one. So I call lucky person 3 who can no longer do what they need to because of 2's mistake. 2 hours later I'm told I should be good to go. The INSTANT I hang up I get a call saying they're having some trouble and need me to call them again. God help person number 4.

I ordered 2 phone lines and internet in May, they screwed up my order by not putting my apartment number. I tried several times to get a new order and they screwed that up too. I got frustrated being on the phone for hours to get my order right until I got fed up and canceled. I never received my phones and got a internet router that didn't work. I went to my local corporate headquarters and had the manager call. She was told that I would receive my refund in 5 days. That was over 3 weeks ago. I called today and was told that my refund was declined because they were waiting to receive the phones back. Per UPS they were returned to them and now they won't give me my money back. They have over $100 of mine. I would not recommend this company to my worse enemy. Customer Service is awful and they just want your money.

Been with Sprint for over 20 years. Nightmare ever since dealing with T-Mobile. Service is exceptionally horrible. Four calls totaling approx seven hours to get a replacement phone working with no solution. Continually jacked around. Will be going elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and go with a different provider.

COMMISSION COMMISSION COMMISSION
Don't. Just Don't! I went in for my promo free Tuesday socks and she informed me that I was specifically chosen to receive their free Internet. I was tired and didn't have my guard up for SCAMMER'S. So I took the box, or the hook I should say. Anyways I already have a service with my landlord. Here comes the FUN part: I came back in 24 hours and was told I need to call this number (THAT WAS NO
LONGER IN SERVICE) because I couldn't return the box in the shop. I would have to get
A return shipping label by calling and waiting to explain the whole story. On top of that I WAS CHARGED $50 BUCKS! So I had to clear up that Mess. Now the shipping label was sent via email and I don't have a printer. So now I need to ask someone to print it out for me because I have NOTHING BETTER TO DO!
BEWARE. THESE KIDS ARE ON THEIR PHONES AND YOU ARE Bothering them UNLESS THEY GET THEIR COMMISSION!

Beware T-Mobile's keep and switch SCAM!
They don't actually reimburse you, they only give you a run around until you finally have to give up! I have 3 hours of phone calls into them, and all they do is give me a different excuse every time! If you call, you'll get numerous people that barely speak english, and only want to argue! I asked 10 times in one phone call to speak to a supervisor, and I was not allowed to.
Switching to T-Mobile was the biggest mistake I've made in a long time!

I contracted the Hotspot 5G home internet service in early May 2022 because my house was under construction and we couldn't have cable brought to it.
What I was told: (1) you have 100Gb with 5G per month. When you reach the 100Gb, you revert to 4G unlimited; (2) if you discontinue your service, you can simply return the MiFi hotspot device and you are not responsible for the balance on it (they are approximately $300).

What really happened: (1) once you go over the 100Gb on 5G you have zero, nada,…no wifi service whatsoever. For a household with three kids and two adults, that happened within one week; (2) when I tried to return the MiFi device after I discontinued my service, they made it so difficult that I made it over the 'buyers remorse' grace period and now I am on the hook to pay the balance on a useless device that I can't use.

So I call customer service to see if I can get a courtesy extension so that they take the device. They are completely inflexible, bordering rude, and refuse to help me. The words of the supervisor were something like: "what is apparently not clear to you is that we are NOT marking an exception for you in this case.". Wow, what happened to the customer is always right?

Very disappointing behavior and customer care. I'll have to pay the $300-plus left on the device, but you've lost a customer forever and I'll be badmouthing T-mobile to my friends and colleagues for the rest of my time.

We switched to T-Mobile, from Verizon, due to the lower monthly charges. Since then, we have had billing issues over and over. We purchased 3 apple watches under a "promotion". Called to pay for them in full... which Tmobile CS took the money for... then continued to bill us monthly. When I called back they said that since we paid for them in full then we do not get the promotional amount and we will have to pay the full price. CS manager said there was nothing he could do to fix that, but would work to "train his team better". We're definitely getting what we're paying for, and will be going back to Verizon. Dont waste your time with T-Mobile.

Biggest scam going is the TMobile Internet Wifi Gateway. I committed to one unit. Service was good for about 10 days until I was throttled down to no internet service. In the meantime I had committed to 2 more units. Now I have 3. The newest 2 I never took out of the box because TMobile tech couldn't resolve tech issues and conceded I was in a bad "zone" despite their solicitations to me to the contrary. I returned all three of these "Gateways" by making clear to TMobile the units didn't work on my property. I got return authorizations and shipping labels from TMobile and went to FeDex on the same day to return them.
However... And in the meantime I was being charged for service while the units were unused and in transit to Texas. Took 10 days for the TMobile warehouse to acknowledge receipt... so I went into a new billing cycle with TMobile... 300 bucks plus. I was assured by their representative in Guatemala that she'd get to the bottom of these charges and get them removed. Never happened.
This TMobile outfit are a bunch of crooks. Pay everything by credit card and then dispute it as there is no resolve of issues calling them.

Worst, Horrible, Cold blooded, trained to lie, Nightmare, king of liers.
Just moved (April 2022) to T-Mobile from At&t. I cannot believe they have whole army of liers from the Store to the Customer Service to 1,2 and 3 tier management. Liers, Liers, Liers. They doubled my bill compared to At&t, started from the store in Los angeles, Girl Name (Cristina Gonzalez). She said yes to everything and made me move toT-Mobile. Please don't go with T-Mobile.

Customer service
June 22, 2022

I have to say the attractive advertising of tmobile internet had me hooked. I mean anything to get rid of over priced Comcast is music to my pocketbook. Unfortunately, the customer service has to be the most annoying I've ever encountered. Someone has to rewrite the idiotic scripts they read from and stop all the time wasting redundancy. I am a 15 yr tmobile customer and I've had enough. Thanks... no thanks!

You could not unlock my phones, I have 6 lines. I requested to you that before starting my trip out of USA. You have been very unprofessional and UNRESPCTFULL telling me you can not do that because it is not your bussiness. After 15 years using other company, I accept your offer to transfer my lines with you but it has been a big mistake. You are really the worse provider of phone services.

T-mobile home internet
June 19, 2022

I signed up 15 days trial for 5G Home internet service and it is where the nightmare started. After I signed up, I received an email from T-mobile saying I got $10 balance charged but the name is not my name. I could not login the t-mobile account at all, so I called customer service for support. They helped me setup account but I still could not login. Always got service not available after I login. The customers service told me it will work later on. I waited for another day and I still could not login, so I decided to cancel the trial service and I returned the device. But later on, I found T-mobile starts auto charge my credit card. I called the customer service again and they are having problem to refund the money back to the credit card and ask me to provide routing number of my bank. Not sure if T-mobile outsource all the customers support to India company. I will not use T-mobile again

I was with Sprint for years, I was told that my husband's phone was not 5G compatible that he was to get a phone for free. I was told this from Sprint and T-Mobile when I went into their store free was mentioned several times. I needed a new phone and I haven't had one in years I knew I qualified for an upgrade. I went into the local store they told me that I didn't qualify for an upgrade and that the only way I can get one is if I add another line of service. Untrained rude people in the store and horrible customer service. All they do is lie and hang up on you. Now I'm sending a bill for the phone because I switched companies, and they are also charging me a service fee and I haven't had service in months I try to explain this to customer service and she barely speaks English. Completely ridiculous charging me a service charge for service I have not had at all in months. I don't know how they stay in business the way they treat their customers! Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with! I can't rate this company because they are negative they don't even deserve one star.
