Hi i have recently been a victim of this very deceptive website but I HAVE RECIEVED A FULL REFUND:-) you can only imagine how happy i am to see that money back in my bank:-) immediately upon realising i had just been charged $159.00 i rang my bank and cancelled my card i had to go through the palarvor of waithing for new card but i sought out their T&C`s and adhered to all their instructions to qualify for a request for a refund i spent my 300 bids activily and won nothing i went through th process of filling out their forms giving all th information and more and spoke with a live chat person on about 6 occassions to clarify i had done as they requested and 4 weeks later i have my money back in my account:-) so don't lose hope if you have had the sickeningly stomach turning missfortune to fall for their deception... it is possible to get your money back:-)

After registreting, I quickly learned the site was both a fraud and bait and switch. No matter how close and how quick you are, a ringer always wiins the big items. The ringer keeps bidding to up the price of the item and makes you spend all the bids you have purchased from them. If you get to close to winning, they fix it so the site has a "glich" and you can't bid or win. When you complain, you never hear back from them and you have lost all the bids you spent. Since this is a nation wide fraud, the U.S. Justice Department should investigate the owners and operators of this corrupt site known as swipebid.com

I agree w/ all of the other comments... SCAM. I thought I was putting in a credit card number so that when and if I bid I would be charged the bid price. Then my card was IMMEDIATELY charged $159.00. I contacted their customer service on line to request refund and was told it was no possible since I had entered a credit card #. They stated that there were 4 places on the initial screen where I could opt out of it and I didn't so I bought it. Then I called my bank where I have the credit card and they also said SORRY you agreed to it... so you bought it. I then went on the SWIPEBIDS website thinking that I can at least get my $159.00 back by winning something. WRONG... the bidding never stops. It is obviously done autobid style. Shut the site down... SCAM... SCAM... SCAM.

Very clever scam
September 6, 2010

Very clever scam. If that creativity was put to honest uses, just imagine. What do I think of swipe bids? Everyone making money from the site should be in jail, real jail where 'bubba' lives.

My husband put his 2 month old Blackberry Curve in the washing machine by accident. Was looking for a new one (less than $250) if possible and thought swipebids.com might be the answer. Man, I am glad I read your reviews and that you make it possible for me to read up on them before they take MY money too. Thanks for the help and best of luck to you guys who need to get your money back.

I too was scammed by swipebids.com yesterday 9/1/2010. They ask for your credit card to begin bidding. Instead it is undisclosed that they charge you $159 to become a member? I then contacted the online live chat. What aj joke! He wanted me to download this paper form to fill out and then sign with my signature to have the charge removed. I stopped at that point... they will have your credit card and signature so they can forge future charges. They would not refund my money less than 5 mins after being billed for this scam.

I have filled out a complaint to the Colorado Better Business Bureau.(Colorado is supposedly where they are located). I am also disputing this charge with my credit card company as well. I will also contact the Attorney General today to further get this scam exposed.

Wish I had gone to this website much sooner to have avoided these headaches and hassles..

September 2, 2010

Scammed me out of $150. I called my bank they said to contact the site and see if you can retrieve your cash. Well I talked to the online rep via Chat she told me there will be a 10 day turnaroudn to refund my cash. Im still waitng. I havent read anything thats been posted baout anyone actually getting a refund but on day ten I will call back my bank and dispute the charges and if need be I hate to say it but Lie and say my CC was stollen adn used to make this purchase. Otherwise Im out $150 and thats njust not going to happen.

I like the post that puts a name to this low life scam artist. Jesse Willms. P. O. S. I hope you scam a real prick and they come for you Jesse. You deserve to have both knee caps broken to crawl the earth on your belly like the worm you are. God help you if we ever should cross paths. On behalf of all who have been scammed... Lesson learned.

Do not get sucked in
September 1, 2010

Do not get sucked in. Do the words fraud, deceit, dishonest, and ripoff mean anything to you? Then stay away from this site and DO NOT ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO! You will be charge immediately for $159.00 even if you decline to buy any bids! Your Mom was right, if it sounds to good to be true, your being scamed.

I was going to join this website today but decided to google this site first and read reviews! Im so glad that i didnt sign up for it! I did see the 159 dollars sign up fee because i read everything before giving my cc# to any site. The thing that got me thinking more is that when you see the video that is on the sign up page about the police station auctioning off those items they say that those stuff are not brand new they are evidence and are used. On the swipebid site they say their items are brand new and manufactures warrenty. That clicked in my head and didnt match the video and the sites video. But im sad for all the people that got scammed but im also glad i didnt fall for it beause 150 dollars for me is a lot of money. Hopefully this website and whoever created gets what they deserve and let people know about this site your relatives friends coworkers everyone and by posting their reviews about these kind of company is helping other people not fall for it like me so i thank everyone for their review and im sorry for everyone that got scammed!

Check out http://whois.domaintools.com/swipebids.com to see who is behind the scam. Maybe these details are incorrect, but it certainly is NOT a legitimate company, more like an individual who is probably a millionaire by now. A very clever, and a very real scam. Avoid at all costs. Any positive review of this site leads you straight back to the site, meaning all the reviews are FAKES. I repeat this is a very clever scam.

Thank you all for the reviews. I was just about ready to sign up with swipebids.com but when right up front they asked me for my credit card number and got a little suspicious and decided to google "swipebids reviews". Ended up on this site and found that all the comments are very consistent and very "$#@!" so you guys saved me a lot of headaches and muchos pesos. Thanks again.

If there were a lower rating, I'd give it. You can't win. If you do supposedly 'win', they charge so much shipping you wind up losing. They charge $150 up front, then sometimes trick people into making monthly payments on top of that. If you like these auctions sites, try Quibids--at least they're upfront and fair, with no hidden charges, and you have a decent chance of winning.

I also was tricked into paying $195 and they refused to refund my money without my using the bids I had already purchased.

Avoid them like black death and do so before you click (though if you are reading this it is already probably too late sadly)

Swipebids.com!
August 18, 2010

Swipebids.com! It's real scam, like a Monster. Easily you can spend 1000 bucks easily without merchandise.

Ex. When you participate this auction, they took out member fee $159 from your VISA automatically. And If they $ 1000 LCD TV put on auction, they robbed maybe $ 500 easy until auction finished from you and other customers individually, win or not. Because you should buy bid money minimum $150.00.
Never start this dangerous game, it's really crook. Never! Never!

I was browsing my windows and then i noticed this websites ads. I click to see for my self. They ask me to sign up and ask for my credit card. I thought that that was just for verification or something like the usual credible website like ebay that won't charge you unless you purchase something. And so i did enter my credit card number after clicking the "submit button i received a text message from my bank about the fee which was $159.00 from swipe-bid.com. I was completely shock. How could they charge you that instantly when you were just signing up. There was nothing in the form that says they will charge you with $159.00 whether you buy/bid on something. I tried to talk to them through their live chat and the person named shalyn but she only showed me this link to a refund from which was a comlete rip-off. I contacted my bank and still waiting for them to cancel that charge. PEOPLE LETS REPORT THIS SCUMBAG WEBSITE SO THEY WILL BE PUNISHED AND BE IMPRISONED FOR THEIR EVIL DOING!
