I started using Sweetwater for most of my music gear purchases (I'd like to say all, but there are items here and there that they haven't had in stock when needed, otherwise they would have got those orders). Each purchase at Sweetwater is followed up by a phone call from their Sales Engineers which serves as fraud prevention in my opinion, and opportunity for them to upsell you (of course) but more importantly, these folks know their products. Any questions or concerns I've had, they have always been there to help. Every order arrives within 3 days max, but typically two. Prices are competitive and I've even called to ask for a better price occasionally, and they worked within my budget. Would highly recommend if them if you haven't used them in the past.

I have used Sweetwater over the years on a couple different projects. Their main emphasis is knowledgeable salespeople. I was wanting to upgrade my entire studio and was hoping to let them know what I had and how I used it. I figured they could then give me some recommendations on the new products I would need and why. But basically the salesperson told me to just go on line and download some different software and playground with it until I found the one I liked. If all I need is to go to different sites and play with the demos, why do I need them. I can just buy direct or for a mail-order site with the cheapest price. I know they are suppose to give good support after the purchase, but if the support I got before spending money was nay indication, I would be afraid to purchase. I told them I wanted to get all new gear, but yet I have never been called back, no follow up. There was a certain amount of arrogance in the call, and really was not left in an encouraging way. I was excited at the start and really discouraged at the end of the call. Im not sure why it has to be this way. But I would not talk to that salesperson again. I just want be treated like I matter, I would like them to qualify me with their experience and help me in selecting the gear that best meets my needs.

Sweetwater assigned me a sales person over 5 years ago and he is still the person that responds whenever I send them a question. When I call, their equipment sees my number and routes me directly to him. During regular business hours, the first thing I hear when I call is, "Good morning Brad. Are you calling about the you just ordered?". If I'm calling for advice, "Shawn, I'm thinking about getting an xyz. Would that work well with my tube amp or would an abc work better?" They've always steered me in the right direction. Once when I was interested in buying a guitar brand that they didn't carry, I asked him why. He said he didn't have the answer but that he'd refer my question up. The company not only responded, I got a call from the product manager and an email from the ceo explaining the business rationale, which was a reasonable one. They suggested I buy from one of their competitors, which I did. (Several years later, the business conditions had changed and they finally did carry the brand.) Great company to work with.

I've been dealing with Charlie Davis since mid 2019 and he's just as helpful and knowledgeable now as he was then! Sweetwater has indeed employed one of the best representatives that any company could ask for and together Sweetwater and Charlie Davis is a winning team! I've been a musician for 58 years and probably not the easiest to deal with but each time I deal with Sweetwater and Charlie Davis I start off smiling and in a good mood and at the end of each purchase I still am smiling knowing I'll be taken care of.

Terrific, honest company with great customer service. I ordered a monitor not realizing it wasn't a pair and got a call right away notifying me that I had only ordered a single, and making sure that's what I intended.

I also had an issue with shipping (not Sweetwater's fault) and Colton was helpful above and beyond.

I've been shopping with them for eight years, and it's always been a great experience.

Working in customer service myself, I hear a lot of people say how fewer and fewer companies have good customer service like there used to be. I'm happy to be supporting a company that still values customer experience.

Never again!

Ordered a full 6 piece drum set. Came on a Friday. Unloaded the 3 boxes, no Symbols. Called they're "Tech support". He said they probably wouldn't be able to ship the Symbols out till tuesday. That would have been fine. But come wednesday of the following week they said they're waiting on Tama for information on the Symbols. They're Tech support people suck. I bought my own Symbols. Never again.

I've been dealing with Sweetwater Sound for the past couple of years. I have purchased all kinds of equipment and there has never been a problem with any products. But that's not the best part. Their customer service and staff are what makes this company #1. The Sound Engineers are top notch and professional. I highly recommend!

I knew i would be taken care of before my last purchase because of the great experiences ive had previously with sweetwater. I recieved my order extremely quickly. Their customer support is top notch, they will follow up with you after youve recieved your order to make sure that everything is great, whether it be general questions about your new gear you might have or troubleshooting potential issues. I appreciate their effort in making sure youre completely satisfied. Sweetwater dot com is the best site online to buy music gear hands down.

Excellent Customer Service!

We love buying from Sweetwater. We have ordered repeatedly and they ship out very quickly. One of their salesman, Mike, followed up with a phone call after one of our orders and talked to my husband for 30 minutes about some questions about the ESP LTD guitars. Mike was very patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. My husband enjoyed the conversation and was able to make the decision to purchase that Guitar from Sweetwater. Great company with that old fashioned sense of customer service that you just don't see anymore.

Sweetwater has a good selection of gear with decent to average prices, though sometimes you will see deals where you get a substantial amount of store credit (aka bonus bucks) which could be nice if you were planning on buying more gear anyway.

It was a little awkward doing my first purchases with them because they had put my order on hold as I was flagged for potentially being a fraudster since my billing/shipping addresses are different. Is this really that uncommon? Also if I was a fraudster would I be buying a marred up used cheap synth? Hah (for the record they were clear about the condition of the item before purchasing, so I knew it was used gear with blemishes).

I suppose I can't blame them for being suspicious, but it does make for a bit of an awkward conversation and first impression! That being said, my sales rep Tyler Lamb was nice enough about it and I didn't have to plead my case too much in order to have my order blessed for shipping, so that was good I suppose.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit of a recluse, so I'm more the hands off type of person in regards to customer service. Business is transactional, I just want to buy the thing and have it arrive in its stated condition, Sweetwater is much more hands on. For instance, after I made a purchase I received what appeared to be a personal text from my assigned sales rep (the fact that you get a personal sales rep shows you their hands on nature), as well as calls and email. Nothing pushy or weird, I guess the very hands on approach just isn't for everyone, so thankfully I am able to opt out. The very hands on nature is applauded by many, so I do recognize that I'm in the minority and nobody can please everyone.

Shipping is fast.

I purchased a bass guitar from sweet water. Shipping was fast. There was a problem with how the guitar sounded. I contacted Sweetwater. Their customer service was great. They offered to reimburse me for the cost of having a local shop work on it. All the guitar needed was a simple adjustment. I will definitely buy from sweet water again, cause they care about their customers

Literally unbelievable service

I could cite a dozen instances of great service by SweetWater. The most recent: I botched receipt of an item and ultimately the most reliable solution to the time crunch I created was for customer service to arrange for me to pick up my replacement guitar case at a FedEx facility -- not a Walgreens, not a 7-11. Yes, a replacement; they had replaced my item that had a tiny defect without question and without asking me to return the original item in advance.

If you don't believe this, I don't blame you. Their service is unbelievable.

Tried to order from abroad a few months ago and the guy assigned to me Aric Ficek was a really bad sales representative, it took back and forth around 4-5 days via email so that he questioned me why I wanted to buy a $1,500 product and I just wanted to know the courier service they were gonna use, that took 4-5 days without an answer and If they knew If I could pay the parcel custom service via that courier service, never got an answer and I was just frustrated that he had to reply with a generic answer without reading the follow-up questions from the email. Went to Vintage Kind and they resolved this issue in less than 24 hours with an incredible customer service, fast and with attention to my questions and requests. Never buying from this site again, easier with Vintage Kind, Amazon or Thomann.

Spoke back and forth via email with Stuart Niven and Alex Roderick in regard to the suggestion given in my to title AFTER wasting $38 for 2 Day Delivery that arrived in 4 days on one item, and the other out of stock the at was to be a Christmas present. I am am now told they may not get the product until January in order to ship it to me. I would have canceled, but unfortunately, Sweetwater is the only company this particular product is sold. It is a particular cajon drum that my husband wants. So I wait.

Sent a message to the President of SW today, and await a reply.
