Swappa generally enjoys a positive reputation for offering a reliable platform for buying and selling used electronics, with many users appreciating the thorough vetting of devices and the ease of transactions. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in response times and support during disputes, with numerous customers expressing frustration over unhelpful interactions and unresolved issues. Additionally, complaints about payment processing and discrepancies in product conditions highlight a need for improved communication and accountability. Overall, while many customers report satisfaction, the negative experiences suggest a critical need for enhanced customer support and service transparency.

I've been using Swappa for just over a year now; both as a buyer and seller.
Swappa staff is always willing up help. They take pride in their customer service and make you feel confident in each and every sale.
I have purchased several things on Swappa and sold 1 item. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with both the buys and the sale. I admittedly am careful checking the previous feedback after being an Ebay user for over 10 years, and have not been disappointed yet. I have even compared the prices of the things I was interested on Ebay and have not found better deals anywhere than I have here on Swappa. I highly recommend this avenue for buying or selling used cell phones/tablets.
Very satisfied with the service and the guarantee of a working device.
If I could give this seller 10 stars, I would. The LG V10 is in BETTER condition than he led on to believe. I have yet to test the software and operational functions, so I will update later if need be, but do fast, the phone is DEFINITELY near mint at the least. It was a pleasure dealing with this seller, and I will be checking his listings first before any other when I want to buy another device. I struck gold here, and this is why I didn't try to low ball him as others were trying to do. Now to test the OS and software.
Swappa is great for buying and selling phones, tablets, etc. They at least do basic checks and require photo's of the actual device with it powered on. You won't get that from Ebay. Plus for sellers, the fact that the buyer pays the fee is great, because you only get charged the Paypal transaction fee. Having both bought and sold on Swappa, I can honestly say the experience is significantly better for both parties in a transaction.
Swappa was great! I found the specific phone I was looking for. It was the only place I could find that had it, and I felt secure buying it with all the measures they have in place to inform you of what condition the items are in.
Swappa support staff were helpful and there every step of the way. First time using Swappa and I had a positive experience. I would use them again.
Swappa staff helping about all details when creating selling ads. Great, feeling much better than was seller at eBay. Thanks
Fantastic place, the phones are usually in great condition (as long as you buy one in good or better condition) and the use of Paypal makes it relatively safe.
I've bought I think 3 phones? I did have a slight issue with one iPhone being locked but the seller was very nice and gave me an immediate refund
Swappa handled the transactions very efficiently and answered questions quickly. The first phone I purchased was dropped before the seller could ship and had to refund my money. Second purchase the seller did not respond and we had to initiate a refund with pay pal. Pay pal took ten days but they were easy to communicate with.
Third purchase was smooth, no issues. Finally have a great phone.
Swappa allows you to buy gently used or new phones at great prices. They make sure that the seller's item is up to their standards so that the buyer receives a acceptable device.
This site is very user friendly. I like the particular focus on mobile devices. The site seems to have a lot of protection for people that may have been burned on other sites. I bought a great phone for a great price. Very happy with the whole process. Will use them again.
A great way for people to buy devices. Just be careful when shopping because the return/refund process for my first process was long
Able to review items being bought, with sellers, and buyers, that have track records you can see. Website information flows fast, and communications are prompt.
We needed to replace two phones that we had stolen. Swappa was recommended to us so we gave it a try. We purchased two beautiful phones and within a week of ordering they were received, activated and up and running. A great experience.
Ipad as described- but seller sent it passcode locked- had to root it. Spent 5 hours having to restore the ipad. Seller never responded with the passcode. Big hassle.
Great price and service. The phone and accessories are new and as advertised. Will use Swappa again.

Answer: Hi Peggy. If you receive a device that is not as advertised then you can return it for a refund. Our policy is that simple. Swappa staff works hard to prevent problems from happening, and PayPal has extensive buyer protections in case they do. Buy with confidence. Thanks for using Swappa.
Answer: Hi Alfred, Swappa requires all users to provide the ESN number for each device when creating a listing as a verification step. For more questions, please email our support team - [email protected] Thanks!
Answer: Very safe, I've bought and sold over 40 phones using Swappa and have only had one problem... When that happened both Swappa and PayPal had my back.
Answer: Yes, you should remove and keep your SIM card when you sell your used phone. SIM cards are tied to your account, so are not transferable. More information and why in our FAQ: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/sim_card_included
Answer: Because they are scammers and a holes. They can't be bothered with you. Awful site. Use eBay instead.
Answer: Swappa guarantees it which goes above and beyond paypal. They are running IMEI checks and they do a great job. It's on you when you receive your phone to go through the phone check list to make sure it's good, checking cameras, microphones wfi, bluetooth, water damage check, things like that. Its really worry free buying.
Answer: Contact Swappa support. If an item is not as described by seller, the buyer is entitle to a refund.
Answer: Most sellers don't ship to African countries. This is because they include a reasonable fee on their prices to cover for shipping in the US, I guess shipping to Africa would come at a higher cost and they seem to be avoiding that for whatever reason. However, you can research and register for a freight forwarding company and have your orders shipped to them. In turn, these companies will forward your order to you when they receive it. As I pointed out before, this is something you have to read about and carefully consider. Hope that helps.
The place to buy and sell newish tech. Safety, simplicity and staff-approved listing make Swappa the better way to buy and sell used phones, tablets, laptops, video games, home tech and more.
