Swappa generally enjoys a positive reputation for offering a reliable platform for buying and selling used electronics, with many users appreciating the thorough vetting of devices and the ease of transactions. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in response times and support during disputes, with numerous customers expressing frustration over unhelpful interactions and unresolved issues. Additionally, complaints about payment processing and discrepancies in product conditions highlight a need for improved communication and accountability. Overall, while many customers report satisfaction, the negative experiences suggest a critical need for enhanced customer support and service transparency.

Swappa customer representative were very dear and helpful throughout my whole transaction.
Nice smooth transaction for first time using it. I will use it again.
So happy to have found a site where I can find reasonably priced used/refurbished phones! Never will I pay full price for a phone. The site is easy to use, there is lots of inventory and good pricing. Only one purchase so far. But I am sure I will be back again.
I got a good deal on a used phone. The seller was a pleasure to deal with. The phone arrived in two days, and was in better condition than advertised.
I love swappa.com. To me it's the only way to buy and sell cell phones and tablets. It's straight forward, easy to use and broken down into usable sections including carriers. The only reason the site gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that it changed its policy to allow business not to post pictures of the actual device. That was the beauty of the site. Now I just don't buy from businesses on the site. Sadly this will be the downfall of the site which in time will be more businesses than average Joe's and will fade into just another eBay spinoff.
Suddenly in the market for a new phone when my LGG3 got the flaky screen...
Found a wonderful replacement LGG4 (looked to upgrade) and couldn't be happier with Swappa or the seller...
I've purchased 3 phones on Swappa with nothing but good things to say.
Swappa does charge a $10 fee from each sale for sellers, but the buyer experience is amazing. The device has to be checked by the seller, Swappa, and the buyer before the sale is marked as complete. Absolutely no chance of anything shady happening.
I was happy to purchase secondhand apple product with confidence that IMEI / ESN of product is clear and not blacklisted!
I had some bad experiences with eBay and Craigslist mobile deals, so far my first Swappa buy was great. Great price, good communication throughout, device as described, what else can you ask for? Next time I need a new device I will definitely start here.
A friend told me about getting his new phone through Swappa. I went to the site and found a phone I liked, registered, and completed the sale. It was really easy. My phone arrived quickly and was even better than the listing. Swappa was involved with every step of the transaction from start to finish. If I had a question the FAQs were pretty extensive with answers for anything I might need. Since I don't need the latest and greatest device as soon as it comes out I'll be returning to Swappa next time I need one.
Bought 2 S7 Edges (is edges the plural of edge?) They were described as mint and they looked brand new. They arrived 3 days after I ordered them and lit right up. Painless transaction
1.) Swappa staffs filter, qualify and approve device to prevent fraud sales and incorrect info at beginning 1st stage. This is a great and important procedure which e-Bay never been reached.
2.) Transaction is smooth and easy thru online.
3.) Buying protection is sincerely concerned by Swappa, and if transaction thru Paypal. (Not able to rate this performance because no case happened yet)
4.) A tight follow-up service after sales for every step.
I purchased an iPhone 6s Plus, and the entire transaction was very easy and smooth. I've used other sites before to purchase iPads, etc. but Swappa was easier and it seemed like there was more of a personal touch. Very easy to navigate, read reviews, and contact a real person. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Stumbled across this amazing business when looking for a used phone. Found what I needed in a few clicks. Purchased a phone, then received it 4 days later exactly as described. Extremely pleasant buying experience. I'm spreading the word!
I have used Swappa several times and have had great success. The seller took awhile to ship this time, but was otherwise a smooth transaction.
I have been able to easily purchase 2 iPhones on this site! I am about to list an Iphone for sell with no buyer fees like on ebay.
Had a great experience, will definitely use it again.
Needed a good back up phone because waiting for replacements is hard when the phone just stops working.

Answer: Hi Alfred, Swappa requires all users to provide the ESN number for each device when creating a listing as a verification step. For more questions, please email our support team - [email protected] Thanks!
Answer: Very safe, I've bought and sold over 40 phones using Swappa and have only had one problem... When that happened both Swappa and PayPal had my back.
Answer: Yes, you should remove and keep your SIM card when you sell your used phone. SIM cards are tied to your account, so are not transferable. More information and why in our FAQ: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/sim_card_included
Answer: Because they are scammers and a holes. They can't be bothered with you. Awful site. Use eBay instead.
Answer: Swappa guarantees it which goes above and beyond paypal. They are running IMEI checks and they do a great job. It's on you when you receive your phone to go through the phone check list to make sure it's good, checking cameras, microphones wfi, bluetooth, water damage check, things like that. Its really worry free buying.
Answer: Contact Swappa support. If an item is not as described by seller, the buyer is entitle to a refund.
Answer: Most sellers don't ship to African countries. This is because they include a reasonable fee on their prices to cover for shipping in the US, I guess shipping to Africa would come at a higher cost and they seem to be avoiding that for whatever reason. However, you can research and register for a freight forwarding company and have your orders shipped to them. In turn, these companies will forward your order to you when they receive it. As I pointed out before, this is something you have to read about and carefully consider. Hope that helps.
The place to buy and sell newish tech. Safety, simplicity and staff-approved listing make Swappa the better way to buy and sell used phones, tablets, laptops, video games, home tech and more.
