The site is really well thought out. I really like how sellers get paid right away and there aren't any extra fees. From the sellers' perspective, you get your money immediately and don't have to pay any fees and from the buyers' perspective you don't have to worry about shipping costs or anything else, the price you see is what you pay. Photo verification requirement is a great idea so that buyers see exactly what they're getting and know what condition it is in. I also like how PayPal verification is built in. I like that you can also see Ebay feedback which is nice for first time swappa buyers or sellers. I've used the site both for buying and selling and it was a very good experience both times. I am sure I will use it many times in the future.
This was my first time buying a phone on Swappa. I was pretty skeptical knowing that a multitude of things can go wrong and then you would get stuck with an expensive paperweight. Everything worked out great! I got a phone for a good value that is a drastic upgrade from my old phone. I felt really good knowing my sister bought a new iPhone 7 for $700 (I paid almost a third of that for a 6S). I had some trouble getting it activated, but that was a carrier problem.
Swappa is the best way to sell your phone not only is it less expensive than EBay but so much easier and I feel I have more freedom to sell & buy I can communicate better. Thanks
This is my 2nd time buying from swappa sellers and each one went great and better than expected! Sellers are honest!
Purchased a lightly used Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from Swappa. Staff were helpful in resolving a small issue*, and transaction went very smoothly after that. Phone arrived in great condition, and has been successfully activated.
One complaint... there is an option for the seller to back out of a sale, after the buyer has committed. Not sure the reason for this. I would have been very disappointed if the buyer chose to not honor the price he had already posted. As I mentioned above, Swappa staff recommended the seller complete transaction with me, and all went well.
I paid $355 for a black s6 edge. The company then emailed me stating they have sold out of phone and sent me a gold one. From order to delivery date was way too long and paying for something that I did not order upfront was nerve wrecking.
Cheaper and easier than dealing with eBay. As always the Swappa Team quickly replies and chimes in when needed for support. Support seems to be based here in the US unlike dealing with PayPal and eBay.
