Nothing is ever perfect, Swappa staff, 10 thumbs up! My first time seller experience has prepared me for future transactions no doubt. Great experience! God bless
Well screened tech that you can buy for very fair prices - win win for both seller and buyer
They check for gray market /stolen goods and do all background verifications for you
I just purchased a mint condition Nexus 5x! Great deal & everything went smoothly. Product was just as described. Very satisfied, will be purchasing another device in the near future. Seller was great & very prompt to respond & ship. Couldn't be happier! Thanks Swappa!
This seller shipped quickly and the phone arrived exactly as described on the site. I've been using it for a week now and all is good!
He was courteous, and I received my phone in a timely manner. I was skeptical because this is my first time buying a phone online, but I was pleasantly surprised. He's great.
This was my 3rd iPhone from Swappa and could not have asked for a better experience. Best prices and good support from staff as well as sellers. Would recommend to anyone looking to save some bucks on newish/new devices.
Swappa follows through with the sale to make sure the buyer is getting exactly what they're paying for. I felt more sure of my purchase knowing if there was a problem that Swappa would step in to help though I did not need it. I had a great transaction with the seller and recieved the phone I wanted in full working order. Thank you Swappa and thanks to the seller who decided to sell at Swappa.
I couldn't be happier with my recent Swappa purchase. Smooth transaction and great communication with seller and Swappa staff. I would highly recommend this site for anyone looking for a newer used phone.
Been a member of swappa for almost 4 years. Bought many devices for friends, family and customers. Usually buy the mint or new ones from reputable sellers and have had ZERO problems. Great site I recommend to everyone. Swappa is the only site I buy smartphones from anymore!
Only one phone purchased -- but it was a winner! Seller CNC Tech Repair (Ocean Springs Mississippi) provided a phone considerably better condition than Swappa's highest ranking of "good" - it was essentially "as new" -- and immediate shipment by this seller ensured I got the phone (cross-continent) in three days. Overall a very excellent experience
My first time using swappa. I was nervous at first but everything went smoothly. This is a good site to trust I have recommended it to all my family and friends!
I've bought phones on Swappa a couple of times now. The sellers always ship things quickly and the phones are always as-described. It's really nice to be able to buy phones and not have to worry about getting ripped off. I'll likely continue to buy phones on Swappa as long as Swappa continues to exist.
Everything went super smooth transaction. The product was shipped fast and in excellent condition as stated in the listing
No complaints - things went as expected. It is a tad bit easier and less expensive than ebay for a used phone purchase
I have bought 8 phones on swappa and had to return 2. It is not a pleasant experience. You have to pay return postage and the seller does not have to refund your money. You can open a case with paypal but there is no guarantee they will rule in your favor and it takes weeks to get a decision so your money is tied up.
I would use ebay as they have buyer protection and will go after the sellers if there is a problem. I have never had a problem with ebay returning a phone. But with Swappa I have problems. You can't call swappa like you can ebay. You can only email and getting the sellers to respond is like pulling teeth. I can't recommend swappa only because there is no buyer protection and you have to open a case with paypal. With ebay it is easier as they guarantee you get your money back.
I forget how I stumbled upon Swappa, but I'm never looking back. The rest of my phones are going to be bought from this site. So far, I have bought 2 Galaxy S7's (6 months apart), both perfectly working and in great condition. Granted, the second one was a little scratched up but the price reflected that! It was ~$120 less, plus a case covers up the few light scratches it has. Both phones came within 4 days and I couldn't be happier. The Swappa staff are always ready to help too which is a perk.
If you're looking to buy or sell a used cell phone or tablet, Swappa is the site to use. Quite simply, it just works and it works well.
My husband needed a new phone. After looking at different sites and feeling like there was no way to know the legitimacy of the seller and if the product there were selling would be something that was stolen, I was discouraged. I googled best places to buy a used cell phone, and Swappa came up. I read the review and then checked it out. Searched for the phone I was interested in buying. The prices were reasonable, but not rock bottom making you think it was too good to be true. Swappa seems to allow different sellers, but the review I read said to look specifically for a rated seller, which I did. Then I read as many reviews from those sellers sales to see which one was most trustworthy. I was still nervous. Swappa states they verify the IMEI on each phone. I have read a few reviews that stated the phone was locked due to an unpaid phone bill or something else that would be hard to verify, but the person was able to return the phone, so they are only out of their time and without a new to them phone... but not totally screwed over by having to eat the price they paid for the phone. They encourage sellers to post pictures that verify they physically have the phone, but this isn't required. Sellers work hard to keep their ratings up, that definitely works in the favor of the buyer.
Swappa gives you time to look over the phone and make the transaction right before you "complete" the transaction. I waited a week or two before I completed to make sure the phone didn't just look good but actually worked.
What I like most about Swappa is the reasonable prices, the IMEI being verified before the seller is allowed to sell the phone, and the sellers rating system is easy to navigate. Admittedly I was still nervous about buying, but I had a lot less reservation given the reviews from the buyers and this site being dedicated to only hand held electronics sales. It turned out to be an excellent experience for me, and I plan to continue using Swappa the go to site for used cell phones.
I purchased a phone on SWAPPA and it was blacklisted right after shipping, how convenient. Buy your new phone from the store. Or you will regret it SWAPPA phones are like a ticking time bomb just waiting to fail.

Answer: Very safe, I've bought and sold over 40 phones using Swappa and have only had one problem... When that happened both Swappa and PayPal had my back.
Answer: Yes, you should remove and keep your SIM card when you sell your used phone. SIM cards are tied to your account, so are not transferable. More information and why in our FAQ: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/sim_card_included
Answer: Because they are scammers and a holes. They can't be bothered with you. Awful site. Use eBay instead.
Answer: Swappa guarantees it which goes above and beyond paypal. They are running IMEI checks and they do a great job. It's on you when you receive your phone to go through the phone check list to make sure it's good, checking cameras, microphones wfi, bluetooth, water damage check, things like that. Its really worry free buying.
Answer: Contact Swappa support. If an item is not as described by seller, the buyer is entitle to a refund.
Answer: Most sellers don't ship to African countries. This is because they include a reasonable fee on their prices to cover for shipping in the US, I guess shipping to Africa would come at a higher cost and they seem to be avoiding that for whatever reason. However, you can research and register for a freight forwarding company and have your orders shipped to them. In turn, these companies will forward your order to you when they receive it. As I pointed out before, this is something you have to read about and carefully consider. Hope that helps.
The place to buy and sell newish tech. Safety, simplicity and staff-approved listing make Swappa the better way to buy and sell used phones, tablets, laptops, video games, home tech and more.
