Swappa generally enjoys a positive reputation for offering a reliable platform for buying and selling used electronics, with many users appreciating the thorough vetting of devices and the ease of transactions. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in response times and support during disputes, with numerous customers expressing frustration over unhelpful interactions and unresolved issues. Overall, while many customers report satisfaction, the negative experiences suggest a critical need for enhanced customer support and service transparency.

I took a risk and tried SWAPPA! I am glad I did. Got a great phone. Have ordered one for my daughter. Hope it goes as well!
Made a deal on a phone and paid for it. But Fedex forgot to swipe the ups code so we thought the phone got ripped off and the buyer refunded my money. But then the phone showed up at my house and I ended up re-sending the money. Everything worked out without any stress and the company Swappa guided us and made sure every step we took was the right step. A great experience. Thanks to both the seller and Swappa.
Came as advertised, going to recommend to everyone. Phone Came as ordered and it came as fast as I ordered. Also they had people as the ready with any questions I had.
I've never used swappa before this but I needed a new phone and didn't want to shell out $700 for a decent new phone so I decided to try swappa. I bought a galaxy s7 edge from someone who had great reviews. It was listed as mint condition with absolutely no screen damage at all. When I got the phone there was a huge blotch of dead pixels and I ended up having to return the phone. I decided to try from another seller with again, very high ratings. I was super happy to see the phone in good condition however after I put my SIM card in, I was blocked from my network. After googling, I decided to try and search the IMEI of the phone. Turns out it was stolen and the IMEI was blacklisted so I had to call my carrier to get my SIM card unblocked and am now going through the process of another return. At the end of the day I am just going to shell out the money for a new phone because everyone on this site is trying to scam you. Save yourself time, effort, and money and just buy a new phone. This site is full of scumbags.
Swappa is a great market for used mobile devices. I have successfully bought and sold 3 devices for a fraction of the cost of retail.
Great place, I am planning to sell the rest of my phone collection on Swappa, will continue to use this site.
SWAPPA MAKES SURE THAT THEY CHECK OUT ALL PHONES BEFORE THEY ARE LISTED ON THEIR SITE, AND SHOULD YOU DO HAVE A PROBLEM THEY ARE THERE FOR YOU AND DON'T LEAVE YOU HANGING AND I LOVE THEM FOR THAT. THANKS SWAPPA.
Swappa is awesome! I will be back! Phone was described as in mint condition and it was just as described!
Great customer service! I would personally recommend anyone to use this site, personal speaking didnt thought that they would communicate with so efficiently.
The buying and selling on swappa is an unmatched experience. I've been using swap of my lease three years now and I have yet to come across an experience that I was not left with extreme satisfaction.
Sold 3 bought 3, never an issue. Works great. Always check the ratings of seller and do your diligence. Love this site last phone new was $500 on Amazon $300 here. Mint condition.
Excellent site. The transaction was smooth and the item was in mint condition as promised by the seller. Highly recommended site.
Swappa is not recommended by myself.
I did purchase a cell phone off their website & would like to prevent YOU what I've experienced (2017).
I bought a cell phone (no, not from boneyard) received it, went to activate it... couldn't... locked "stolen/lost". After time the seller "fixed" the problem.
Now two months later the phone has been locked again. Why this time? Failure to make payments on the phone, the phone is financed!
What's the Seller's end resolution? "File a dispute w/PayPal".
Dispute filed. Outcome? Dispute denied. Swappa in a nutshell... let us know how that works out for yah. Spent day finding out why it was denied (which should be in directions on Swappa or it wouldn't have taken all day) and to get it re-opened. Either way, denied or approved decision from Paypal could take 30 or longer. Point: BUYERS BEWARE a phone you purchase on this site can and may come locked and/or with a financing contract on it.
Also, don't make my mistake IF you want to make a purchase on Swappa... the stars are deceiving, READ THE FEEDBACK. Amazing what sellers have done and continue to sell.
I discovered Swappa recently and made two successful purchases. Both were less than if purchased/bidding on EbaY and less stressful.
Very good site and sellers are really good. Bought the i-watch-Series1- Gen-2 for 204$ in a very good condition.
I got an iPod Touch 6th Generation on swappa.com that was mint quality for more than $50 under the regular sale price! It shipped within a few days and I'm very satisfied with it!
Felt very comfortable using this service to buy an IPhone and I'm normally an Ebay fan. Ebay had too many phones in a wide variety of conditions and prices. Condition here stated mint and the price was no hassle and what I wanted to pay. The rules for listing a phone here are very strict and using my paypal account made me feel very comfortable. Shipping was lighting fast, 2 days, phone was in described condition and I was able to activate it an hour after receiving it. No hassle, good communication and package tracking. Will shop here again for sure.
Stay away from swappa, most sellers are fraud. I have a victim of fraud on swappa many times, always hoping the staff of Swappa to be helpful. But, this is truly the worst site... Many people become victims of fraud sellers. Swappa no way helps in any way. Even comments of victims are deleted & fraud sellers continue to thrive. Stay away from this fraud site
I ordered an i-phone 7 plus from TheWizardofOdds at swappa.com and it rocks! The seller rocks, swappa.com rocks, the whole experience rocks! They have all the gadgets you need. I'll be back for more gadgets for the kids and myself. Thanks swappa.com. While there check the seller TheWizardofOdds out. They did me right with the phone + suprises... Boom!
I purchased a mint condition iPad Pro. Very happy with my purchase! I initially tried to win multiple bids on eBay with no success. Not to mention eBay does not guarantee that the imei number is clean. So glad I chose to do business on Swappa will buy again!

Answer: Hi Peggy. If you receive a device that is not as advertised then you can return it for a refund. Our policy is that simple. Swappa staff works hard to prevent problems from happening, and PayPal has extensive buyer protections in case they do. Buy with confidence. Thanks for using Swappa.
Answer: Hi Alfred, Swappa requires all users to provide the ESN number for each device when creating a listing as a verification step. For more questions, please email our support team - [email protected] Thanks!
Answer: Very safe, I've bought and sold over 40 phones using Swappa and have only had one problem... When that happened both Swappa and PayPal had my back.
Answer: Yes, you should remove and keep your SIM card when you sell your used phone. SIM cards are tied to your account, so are not transferable. More information and why in our FAQ: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/sim_card_included
Answer: Because they are scammers and a holes. They can't be bothered with you. Awful site. Use eBay instead.
Answer: Swappa guarantees it which goes above and beyond paypal. They are running IMEI checks and they do a great job. It's on you when you receive your phone to go through the phone check list to make sure it's good, checking cameras, microphones wfi, bluetooth, water damage check, things like that. Its really worry free buying.
Answer: Contact Swappa support. If an item is not as described by seller, the buyer is entitle to a refund.
Answer: Most sellers don't ship to African countries. This is because they include a reasonable fee on their prices to cover for shipping in the US, I guess shipping to Africa would come at a higher cost and they seem to be avoiding that for whatever reason. However, you can research and register for a freight forwarding company and have your orders shipped to them. In turn, these companies will forward your order to you when they receive it. As I pointed out before, this is something you have to read about and carefully consider. Hope that helps.
The place to buy and sell newish tech. Safety, simplicity and staff-approved listing make Swappa the better way to buy and sell used phones, tablets, laptops, video games, home tech and more.
