The buyer has to perform due diligence. Dont pay premium for used devices that do not come with manufacturer, care plan, return plan warranty, not original owner. Those four qualifications and preference for locked or unlocked device will drive out a vast majority of the devices for sale on swappa. Then you can pick and choose from the handful that are left that meet those four expectations which are awefully high... Great site for sellers bevause of lower fees. But, even with esn imei monitoring you cant tell if chip spoofed, dipped, etc. But, with paypal as a plan B also worst case, you wont lose your shirt when it go's south. Great site, a couple of buys one original owner locked. Second unlocked and good but had a few drivers behind the wheel

I have purchased 3 phones through Swappa and the transactions and communication have been great. All 3 phones were in perfect working order and as good or better than described. In addition, all were shipped and received in a matter of days. I only made purchases from people that had positive reviews, as I felt that would lesson my chance of having any issues with receiving the phones or receiving phones that were not as described.

Upon ordering a phone from We Buy Mobile, through Swappa for $200.00 (who guarantees all devices are 100% functioning) I received a phone that did not function at all (did not turn on, did not charge). I was instructed to return the device.
I was never given any explanation or reason as to why, or how a broken phone was sent to me. I printed out their return label which was free of charge, (I would have gladly paid out of pocket for shipping to ensure the package was insured and arrived) and after more than 3 1/2 weeks I have still not been refunded my $200.00. I sent this item back on July 3,2017. It is now July 30,2017. The tracking on this item became "unavailable" after being sent back. I have contacted both Swappa and We Buy Mobile and all they can tell me is "The phone hasn't arrived yet, when it does we will issue you a refund". After taking $200.00 from me, sending me a BROKEN phone, they are treating me as if I am a burden and they will contact me when they see fit. I have given them all the information the asked for: the order number, the tracking number, and answered every question. They have finally just stopped replying to my emails, and will not give me a contact number to speak to someone about this matter. After sending me a broken item, that I returned the next day, they are holding my money ransom. When in reality, none of this would have happened had they not sent me a worthless phone. In three days it will be a month since I returned the phone to them, at this point I don't expect to get my $200.00 back. I have emails from them, and that is all the proof I need.
I ordered from them because they had decent reviews, which ended up being a mistake, and the worst buying experience I have ever dealt with. Please think twice before dealing with a company like this one. They are money hungry, and are promising a quality in items that they can't back up.
BOTTOM LINE: THEY STOLE $200.00 FROM ME.

Especially when comparing to Ebay, this site was so effortless and smooth. From searching item, to getting the all the specs on items, to the closing transaction every thing was effortless, logical and smooth, without all the trollers and scam artist on Ebay. Very straightforward. Thank you Swappa for setting the standard. I really hope you can expand to other countries, ie Australia!

I buy mint condition iPhones from Swappa when it's time. I buy from highly rated users with great reviews. I'm seeing recent one-start reviews and they don't make sense to me. It's almost like buying from eBay. There are precautions you take and possible inconveniences involved.

Typically, I wear my phones out pretty fast from the jobs that I do. I tend to get tired of replacing cracked screens and malfunctioning home buttons. I also like the idea of spending several hundred dollars less for a phone that is "like new".

My experience with Swappa to date has been honest, easy, fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend using their site!
