Seamless and simple way to buy and sell phones and tablets in a transparent environment. Interested parties can see the transaction process unfold. It makes bidding easier to see how sellers have responded to previous offers
The site is wonderful fast and easy. No problem what so ever and the phones are like brand new. The customer service is always there to help along the way always. I love how is PayPal so I know my money is secure nd the transaction is safe and if any problem it is covered. Will recommend to anyone looking for a cheap but like brand new phone. I love it.
So bought my first phone at Glyde a few years ago. Easy transaction and product, Decided to give them another shot this time, and can't believe the hassle. Made 4 purchases and every one was cancelled, and with each one the price went up. Customer service? Send them a message and you would be lucky to hear from them within a day.
Swappa was a completely different experience. Purchased a phone for less then Gllyde, and I got it in excellent condition in 4 days. Contacted the seller (Tetchy Tech) and got a response within a few hours.
I will see how it goes when I activate it with my carrier.
Every phone I have bought has been just what was listed or better. Why someone would pay full retail when you can buy a gently use one here for 1/3 of the price is beyond me.
Ive now had two transactions through Swappa and theyre fantastic! Theyre to buying phones what Amazon is to books!
Honest reviews of sellers, made it easy to work with third party sellers, and promptly refunded the sales fee when my first device purchase didn't work out. Will definitely be using Swappa again.
I purchased an I-phone 7 from "It's All Wireless" via Swappa that was listed in MINT condition. After approximately five weeks the screen started to occasionally freeze. I called "It's All Wireless" and they stated it was past the 30 days, so no exchange, money back, etc. After another week the I-phone screen froze solid. Could not use it at all. Took it to an Apple store. The store opened the phone and found out two small brackets were missing and 4 screws that hold the inside together were missing. NONE of this is visible from the exterior of the phone. I again called IAW and stated this is not considered mint condition. They told me that since the phone was opened, any warranty was voided. The only way to find out it was bad was to open it. IAW said that's their policy. Avoid IAW since a mint condition phone could be a badly rebuilt phone.
Don't know where to being on this. First time buyer that tried to get a phone and got burned. The seller was about a week from responding. After contacting Swappa for a resolve nothing happened and started the refusal of payment. This was complicated by the guest check out of PayPal instead of a secured payment.
2nd round the seller let me know immediately that he would have to wait 5 days for PayPal and would update me if there was a problem. After waiting I find myself banned because the payment did not go through due to having a mix up on my business to personal account due to the first failed transaction. (Okay my fault but caused immediate banning and no way to contact the seller and Swappas lack of contact number or address) after an e-mail exchange saying they can terminate me at anytime for their TOS. Beware this is illegal in my state when a transaction is made and making sure to file a complaint with the better business bureau and bank today. Don't get Duked and support frauds!
This is my third purchase from Swappa. The seller, Tetchy Tech delivered on all points. The phone was in the condition as described, the price was right, and it was delivered on time. I will continue to do business with Swappa.
Simple and clear pricing. Trustworthy sellers. Great communication channels. Shipping details provided. Great service
We had one phone that didn't work, but the return was seamless. One phone worked great. In both cases, Swappa worked well!
Swappa has become my go to to check prices for phones. I have purchased three used G4s and one used S7 and all were in clean working order and were shipped promptly. I like the service and their phone sale price over time graphs.
Swappa has been a great tech selling site, but I was disappointed to see the fees double. That makes it quite a bit more difficult for the seller to get to dollar. Maybe consider going back to $10? I am sure there is enough traffic to warrant this rate.
Swappa was very easy to navigate to find the roght phone for me. Swappa wmployees were very helpful throught the buying and quick to respond with assistance during the sale finalization.
Swappa was recommended by my cell carrier Ting as a honest reliable place to buy a used phone instead of ebay or craigslist. Honestly I had never heard of Swappa. After looking around and following a few phones I purchased a phone at a reasonable price. After I received it and checked it out, it was just as described, I had no problem activating it and I really like it. I will use you again when I need a another phone.
First time using Swappa and I am totally blown away with how easy it was to navigate thru the site and purchase a phone. I really like the idea how the staff at Swappa is actively involved in making sure the transaction goes smooth and how they verify that the item is a real picture from the seller and not just a random internet picture of the item. I felt more secure ordering from Swappa then other popular sites that do the same type of business. I highly recommend checking out Swappa and seeing what they are all about and feel confident in making a purchase that is monitored from the beginning to the end by the staff. They really make sure every step of the way goes smooth and uneventful. Looking forward to doing business again on Swappa. Thank you.
I have bought and sold various phones and iPads and have had success with all my transactions on Swappa. I used to use eBay and Swappa is hands down far superior on every count.
Used Swappa a number of times over the past few years. In the past 3 weeks, I have purchased 2 used phones: an iPhone 7 and a Samsung 7. They were as described by the seller and easily activated on my network. It has more protection for the seller than Ebay or Craigslist (of course, I rarely purchase from sellers with low rankings, in the same way I am cautious with Ebay sellers with low rankings).
This website was suggested to me by a friend. So far my experience has been just as he described. The item I bought was just as described and it was in my hands only a few days after I sent the payment. I will look here in the future when I am purchasing electronics.

Answer: Very safe, I've bought and sold over 40 phones using Swappa and have only had one problem... When that happened both Swappa and PayPal had my back.
Answer: Yes, you should remove and keep your SIM card when you sell your used phone. SIM cards are tied to your account, so are not transferable. More information and why in our FAQ: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/sim_card_included
Answer: Because they are scammers and a holes. They can't be bothered with you. Awful site. Use eBay instead.
Answer: Swappa guarantees it which goes above and beyond paypal. They are running IMEI checks and they do a great job. It's on you when you receive your phone to go through the phone check list to make sure it's good, checking cameras, microphones wfi, bluetooth, water damage check, things like that. Its really worry free buying.
Answer: Contact Swappa support. If an item is not as described by seller, the buyer is entitle to a refund.
Answer: Most sellers don't ship to African countries. This is because they include a reasonable fee on their prices to cover for shipping in the US, I guess shipping to Africa would come at a higher cost and they seem to be avoiding that for whatever reason. However, you can research and register for a freight forwarding company and have your orders shipped to them. In turn, these companies will forward your order to you when they receive it. As I pointed out before, this is something you have to read about and carefully consider. Hope that helps.
The place to buy and sell newish tech. Safety, simplicity and staff-approved listing make Swappa the better way to buy and sell used phones, tablets, laptops, video games, home tech and more.
