I used this site once to order a used phone. I received the item promptly and in great condition, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I misunderstood 1 thing so I emailed their contact page for help, they back to me quickly (I'd say within an hour) and got me back on track to complete my order. Positive experience all around, would use again.

Just know these are used phones and there is a reason they are being sold on swappa! I could not get my money back for a phone that continuely dropped calls and completly shut down 6-10 times a day.
Beware and read all the fine print! If you buy the wrong thing, such as an "unlocked" phone but it is actually locked and I cannot use it with my carrier they became very defensive and declared it was advertised accurately and too bad for you... It makes us very suspicious there is something wrong with the phone because of how argumentative the seller was and how little they care about customer satisfaction. I will not buy from swappa again and caution others about this. There are other sites with good customer service.

I would not have done business with Swappa had I known that you never really buy a product from them. They are just a "middle man" in the transaction and provide no direct help when something goes wrong as it did with my purchase. NEVER BUY FROM A MIDDLE MAN SET UP! I'm still unclear as to how to resolve the problem with my purchase and Swappa just continues to say..."we've forwarded your email/ problem yo the supplier and they will be getting in touch with you"... that's it. There are so many places to buy a cell phone directly from the supplier that it's never necessary to get a third party involved. I didn't know that they were a third party seller in the first place! DO NOT BUY FROM Swappa!
Excellent site to use if you're a buyer. Terrible if you're a seller. Similar to ebay and amazon. They will NOT support you as a seller.

I had attempted buying a iPhone on Gazelle twice and both were not working phones and I purchased one on eBay and the headphone Jack was broke. This is about the 6th phone I've bought from Swappa after reading a CNET article mentioning them. At first, I was a little hesitant, but I have not been disappointed yet.
I've probably bought nearly a dozen phones from this website for my family. You aren't going to strike gold every time, but the phones listed are highly reliable most of the time, and most of sellers I've dealt with are usually trustworthy. I've had two phones that failed after only few months, but understand that I bought them used, and such experience comes with territory. There's even a boneyard section of the website where you can sell your non-functioning phones.
I've just completed my first purchase on Swappa. The whole experience was easy and fast. I was amazed about how many items were listed, the quality of the items for sale and the ease of communicating with the buyer/seller. Swappa will be my goto site for tech sales and purchases from here on.
