Over the past 4 years I stuck with Swappa through thick and thin, thinking the savings were worth the hassle. But I would say 75% of my transactions had issues. Junk devices sold as "Mint", scammers trying to have me pay them directly, phones that are not paid off through the carrier, etc. Most recently, I found a device sold to me was not free of contract and the owner settled with a debt collection agency. Now I'm stuck with a device I cannot unlock. Ultimately I have to dispute the charge through Paypal because swappa can't take any other action. I can't honestly say I will ever use them again.

I was a little hesitant about buying a used phone but my Husband highly recommended Swappa. I was a first time buyer and was still nervous but am extremely pleased with how smoothly things went. My purchase was a flawless transaction and I am now a happy owner of a "Newish" phone that I absolutely love:)

I wanted to upgrade my galaxy and kept checking into Ebay for the right model and the right time to strike a deal. I never seemed to win the auction on Ebay. Always missed it by a few dollars. I started looking at Swappa and noticed the sales there were brisk but I did not have to hunt too long for just what I wanted. I got my new phone with case, extra battery and 2 chargers without worrying about the auction and what time it was closing etc. A little misstep at first was the fault of my carrier. Everything worked as stated. I'm glad I found Swappa.

I've bought and sold several devices on Swappa and have never had a problem. Prices are great and the device are always as described. This is my Go To site to buy and sell.

I could have dealt with various online brokers of smartphones, but decided upon Swappa. I'm very pleased with my decision. I'm a gadget freak, but don't have a bottomless bank account, so I do my research when looking for an upgrade. I had been very happy using a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but come Christmas, I upgraded to a new Note 4 via Swappa (has advantages over a Note 5, and is considerably more affordable). The folks at Swappa were most helpful in assisting me with my purchase, which I made from a company they listed named Mobile Deals. Swappa staff members Wesley Thurston and Brock Hatfield were most helpful as I worked out details with Robert at the seller, Mobile Deals. Terrific service all around. Quick delivery. Robert helped with setting up my phone activation with Straight Talk Wireless. And so a Note, the smartphone, went to the Wise, me -- wise for choosing Swappa and Mobile Deals to satisfy my tech hunger during Christmastime. Forget Santa: choose Swappa. They deliver not only in December but all through the year!

This was my first time buying from Swappa and it definitely will NOT be my last. I could not be any more satisfied with the whole process. The listing was super clear and detailed, the seller was awesome at communication, the payment process is quick, easy and secure, and the item shipped quickly too. During the process, Swappa kept me updated and walked me right through everything. I will definitely recommend Swappa to everyone I know. This is THE best way to buy (and sell) a phone.

Very smooth experience. Having seller reviews and unique id codes required in seller pics is a reassuring step.

I have purchased 3 phones (2 iphone 4s and 1 moto x) so far on Swappa and the transactions are quick and easy. The Swappa staff is very quick to respond to questions/comments. The only thing that needs work is that sellers are listing devices as being in mint condition or like new (refurbished) when in fact both of the iphones I purchased had bad batteries when they were delivered which I had to replace before the phones could really be used. So Swappa needs to re-enforce to the sellers that if a device is listed as having NO PROBLEMS that should mean NO PROBLEMS - not "well the phone is in mint condition as long as you don't want to use it until you replace the battery"
