The site organization is as good as it can get. You have everything organized by carriers, models, condition... etc. I've bought 2 phones and will definitely buy again on Swappa.
It seems okay, just transferred it yesterday.
The only thing is the battery doesn't hold a charge for very long at all.
My old phone was acting up and I wasn't eligible for an upgrade with verizon. I got a used phone on swappa and it works GREAT. I wish I had ordered from there sooner! This is where I'll be getting all my future phones.
I've sold many items on Swappa and bought a couple. Swappa seems like the safest and most honest place to buy and sell mobile tech. Fair selling fees also.
I bought from a great seller and the phone turned out as expected after reviewing it.
I bought a Note 4 in Mint condition. Swappa provided updates after the transaction started. I feel like I can buy with confidence from Swappa.
My iPhone 4s had lost its ability to connect to WiFi and Apple was unable to repair it, and the cost of a new or replacement phone was a bit excessive. Swappa had been recommended to me so I decided to try it. I ordered an iPhone 5c. The order was shipped very quickly, the phone was in perfect working condition and even came with an Otterbox cover and the original power cord and adapter. I was extremely happy with the purchase and even happier that the cost was minimal in comparison to what I was presented with at the Apple store. Swappa also provides a way to contact them immediately if there is any issue with your order. It's not hidden in small print at the bottom of the page. Fortunately, I did not need that!
Very smooth transaction. I have used swappa previously and will certainly use again.
I found this site in the later stages of searching for a new phone. The interface is outstanding. Very easy to navigate, easy to figure out how to buy or sell, and very prompt and friendly staff who were always readily available. I ended up getting an amazing deal on my LG G4, and will be using this site exclusively for all of my buying and selling from here on out. Goodbye eBay fees!
Took my HTC One M8 out of my pocket and wailed when I saw some malevolent force had cracked the screen. One visit to Swappa later and I had bought a cheap unlocked replacement from a trusted seller who got it to me in under three days. Thanks!
Lots of sites can have scammers, this is not one of those, you can buy phones with confidence here, Lots of security measures are taken for it.
Awesome, so glad I found this place! EBay, eat your heart out! Doesn't even compare, thanks guys!
I've bought items on Swappa twice now and both times my experiences have been perfect. Swappa makes sure sellers are responsive and responsible, and both times I purchased the item and it was shipped IMMEDIATELY, with quick shipping.
The site is great because they require the seller to post actual pictures of the item for sale - not stock photos from Amazon - so you get to actually see the exact product before you buy it. In addition, the Swappa staff is actively engaged in the posting and selling process, in contrast to a site like eBay where users can post listings and no human ever looks at them. Swappa has to manually approve each listing, which adds a layer of support and security to the buying process.
Payment is integrated with PayPal, which keeps it simple and safe, and the selection of items and ability to sell used items is unbeatable. You can see price details of past sales of the same item, too, so you'll know if the price charged is reasonable or too high, and negotiating with sellers is encouraged.
Overall, Swappa presents an amazing experience, and even if it's just for browsing, you need to check it out. Swappa is what all online marketplaces wish they could be.
I have used swappa to sell and purchase multiple phones over the last few years. I just upgraded my device and the seller and the transaction was excellent. Every seller I have dealt with on swappa has been excellent.
Swappa makes it easy to find the phone you want at a good price. Also, they've streamlined the communication process between the buyer and seller. This is the second time I've used Swappa and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
I use eBay, swappa, Craigslist, and I will probably use Bonanza as well. But Swappa is by far the easiest most straightforward selling site there is. I've sold several phones and a computer and gotten a very nice price for each of them. All of them sold quickly. The reason is Swappa gets a good number of views. The nicest thing is that swappa is so straightforward. EBay has dozens of Byzantine rules and exceptions and ways to sell your items. All to make eBay get more of your money. They take 10%. Swappa takes $20 or $15 or $25 or whatever. It is very low for a decently priced item. So I get so much more selling on swappa. The other nice thing is they they have a comprehensive and accurate product database. So if you have an item and you can find the serial number or whatever they immediately recognize what make and model of the item you have how much memory it has excetera excetera. They are electronic product geeks. So that there is no confusion over which model something you are selling or buying is. On eBay there's a sloppiness that can make buying something infuriating. A lot of sellers just don't know what they have...
Easy to use site with a good community of people buying and selling phones.
Buying on Swappa.com was excellent. The seller was very communicative and answered all the question before buying the item. Shipping was fast and item was received exactly as described and as shown on the pictures. Swappa staff is always on top of the transaction ensuring everything goes smoothly.
Excellent experience. The seller shipped fast and communication was excellent. I would buy from this user again and would recommend Swappa always!
I came across this site when I was looking for a new phone and its cheaper and in my opinion a much better experience than eBay.

Answer: Hi Peggy. If you receive a device that is not as advertised then you can return it for a refund. Our policy is that simple. Swappa staff works hard to prevent problems from happening, and PayPal has extensive buyer protections in case they do. Buy with confidence. Thanks for using Swappa.
Answer: Hi Alfred, Swappa requires all users to provide the ESN number for each device when creating a listing as a verification step. For more questions, please email our support team - [email protected] Thanks!
Answer: Very safe, I've bought and sold over 40 phones using Swappa and have only had one problem... When that happened both Swappa and PayPal had my back.
Answer: Yes, you should remove and keep your SIM card when you sell your used phone. SIM cards are tied to your account, so are not transferable. More information and why in our FAQ: https://swappa.com/faq/sell/sim_card_included
Answer: Because they are scammers and a holes. They can't be bothered with you. Awful site. Use eBay instead.
Answer: Swappa guarantees it which goes above and beyond paypal. They are running IMEI checks and they do a great job. It's on you when you receive your phone to go through the phone check list to make sure it's good, checking cameras, microphones wfi, bluetooth, water damage check, things like that. Its really worry free buying.
Answer: Contact Swappa support. If an item is not as described by seller, the buyer is entitle to a refund.
Answer: Most sellers don't ship to African countries. This is because they include a reasonable fee on their prices to cover for shipping in the US, I guess shipping to Africa would come at a higher cost and they seem to be avoiding that for whatever reason. However, you can research and register for a freight forwarding company and have your orders shipped to them. In turn, these companies will forward your order to you when they receive it. As I pointed out before, this is something you have to read about and carefully consider. Hope that helps.
The place to buy and sell newish tech. Safety, simplicity and staff-approved listing make Swappa the better way to buy and sell used phones, tablets, laptops, video games, home tech and more.
