I was shopping for a replacement phone for our daughter and was recommended to check out Swappa.com. I'm glad I did and I'm very happy with the purchase I made from Melissa. Great service, no surprises and very smooth process. Melissa has been great and provides excellent customer service. She answered all questions honestly and I'm glad to say that our daughter loves her new phone which is in like new condition and works flawless! I would definitely come back to this site again and especially buy from Melissa anytime!

Since Swappa is designed specifically for phones, I have peace of mind as a buyer that the phone is ready to activate, and the photos I view are of the actual phone I'm buying. It's easy to communicate with sellers, and correspondence is shown right on the listing page.
Swappa is the only site I would use to buy or sell a used phone or tablet. It's a no-brainer.

Upgrading iphones is getting outrageously expensive, so we started looking for options. Getting a brand new phone seemed unnecessary; a good used phone would be great. We checked ebay and amazon, but even those sites seemed sketchy when it came to selling iphones.

We found Swappa, and the phones were reasonably priced. The site also seemed well-monitored, with people dedicated to making sure people selling their phone on the site were held to standards for the good of the buyers. Such standards included making sure the seller posts the ESN, helpful photos, and assessments that actually match the phone's condition. I'm fairly cautious, and even I felt comfortable buying a used phone on this site.

After buying the phone, it arrived within days. My husband now has a beautiful iphone with almost imperceptible outer damage, lots of storage space, and even ~1yr of AppleCare left on it. The experience will likely vary depending on the person who sells it, but ours was great and really easy.

After researching for some time what type of phone I needed (Android, recent build, good quality, with a long lasting battery and all LTE bands represented for my travel needs), I settled on finding the S6 Active. Shopping on eBay was a bit frustrating as listings are all over the map. Some sellers provided the phone's ESN's or even an image of their clean ESN from Swappa. Some eBay sellers are very professional about things and I was rather close to springing for one on eBay, but then I started looking at Swappa's listings. What made me feel reassured about buying from Swappa is that it is focused on the secondhand smartphone market. ESN's are not publicly shared but verified by Swappa itself which is truly the gold standard in that arena. Combine that with a review system which shows whether the sellers are good at what they do and it became much easier to focus on a device that made sense for me. Several S6 Actives were listed for sale for slightly less than the one I was interested in, but clearly my seller knew what he was talking about since it showed it was unlocked and had not been rooted. These are not commonly mentioned in descriptions even on detailed eBay listings from pro sellers. Communicating with the seller was lightning quick and a few messages later we came to a reasonable price that allowed him some profit and me some savings. I purchased using Paypal, the device was shipped the same day and I had it in my hand (from Florida to California) in 2 days by USPS Priority Mail. The device actually was in better shape than the photos the seller posted so I am thrilled. Testing it out for about 12 hours proved that it was a legit phone with no issues whatsoever. The whole Swappa experience for me was great - of course, this depends on the seller and item one chooses, but I think Swappa provides enough info so that you can make an informed careful decision on where you want to spend your $ on a used phone. I now have a 6 month old phone which when new is nearly double the price! Thanks Swappa!

Then the evil queen and big brother took down all my info and money. At the last moment I was saved by kombo c and awarded the moto x pe, 2015. For a fair price and enough left over money to feed Google, Cricket and Mrs Robinson. Oh yeah.
Seriously, kombo c, Swappa and PayPal all were pros, good deal

Always my first choice to purchase a new or used phone. Can't beat Swappa prices and service from its sellers. Thanks Swappa.
