For 2 years in a row Sundance has failed to deliver a gift. There is no communication from them when an item sells out. I wouldn't even know gift never sent except I call to find out. How do you conduct business this way?
Been waiting almost a month now for some word on a rug I ordered. Rug pad came immediately.
Response to my email sent two weeks after ordering said it was lost in a warehouse. A week later I responded to email if I'd get info on whether/when they found it. Nothing back.
I called a week after that. Customer service woman said it was showing up as being in warehouse but they couldn't find it. She would refer up to supervisor. Five days later, almost a month after ordering, I have heard nothing from them. Rug is still available in catalog and online but 'they can't find it'.
I WOULD GIVE THIS COMPANY ZERO STARS IF I COULD. They have terrible customer service, terrible return policy and terrible quality for the price. Do not buy from this company. Shipping charges are outrageous. Save your money-- Do not buy from this company!
I ordered a scarf that took about a week to receive. Unfortunately, it was the wrong scarf. I called and got a representative who told me to send back the one I received and they'd ship the one I ordered. I sent it back and when I called about a week later to ask if it was received - they didn't send any confirmation - I was told there was nothing on record about the order mixup and that the correct order hadn't yet gone out. I argued that the correct scarf should have been sent right away, given that I made the original purchase almost a month ago. The representative agreed. Fingers crossed that I'll get it in a few days. I'm not hopeful. I don't plan to order from Sundance again.
I live in Utah and have spent a load of money in the last 10 years at Sundance Catalog. When I went to return 3 items that were badly made and not worth the money I paid, I was told I could not return at the outlet store. Ok. But there are 20 in fees to return. That after the items were so badly made that I can't even use them. Please people if you are shopping at Sundance beware. The items look great in the catalog but mostly come from China and are awful. So I am out 400 and if I return them 20 more and then others are stating that they are not getting refunded for months. I went into the outlet today and was aghast. Merchandise all over the floor I could not walk through the aisles. When did Sundance become synonymous with Walmart (Walmart is better). The sales lady was nice but a bit short with me and I don't blame her. What a dump. I bought a Manos Zalopectas purse for 218, which is already pulling, a Wild Horse cap for 35 and a Chan Liu wrap bracelet that I could not clasp because the leather hole was too tight. Sad and very very disappointing to see this happen.
Ordered summer dress. No feedback on website that it was out of stock. Will ship aug 22 when summer almost over. Called customer service. Because of delay wanted to change size. Created new order but discount not appearing on new order print out sent to me. I called 2 customer service people that explained why the print out count not display the correct amount(crazy) and were argumentative and condescending that I did not understand their convoluted inefficient system. Obviously they have not worked at a company with good business systems. So It's july, i'm waiting for my item to ship at the end of august and I have no printed proof that I am getting the discount. I wont be ordering anything else from you
Ordered in June, paid for shipping. Didn't like the product, they agreed to refund but deduction for return shipping…. Mailed product back, they received July 1…. After numerous emails they tell me that refunds are given in the order received and they are currently issuing refunds for June 27th. Do they only have one person in the whole company issuing refunds? They've been using MY money for 6 weeks. It's quicker to get a refund from eBay. This is a high end company, you'd think they could have enough staff to take care of this in a timely manner. They sure have plenty of people answering emails will not order from them again. I'm really surprised at this

The pictures in the Sundance Catalog show gorgeous photos that are deceiving. When the item arrives the quality is cheap and the colors don't match the photos. I tried ordering 3 different times and had the same experience. The items are way overpriced. With each order the shipping is outrageous--a tiny pair of earrings is $9.95 to ship. With returns, they bill right away for the exchange item, but the return credits are very slow to process. When they process the credit, they deduct original shipping and tax on that shipping. In short, they rip people off at every opportunity. Between the poor quality and return rip-offs, I had a difficult time using up a gift card credit. After 3 returns for poor quality, the shipping and taxes ate up a lot of my gift card.
Sundance does not stand by their sales, or their products. Not what they used to be by any means. I would avoid the hassle.
Cheap stuff. I've tried multiple times over the years and its just never good. I made returns this twice this past try. Both times, the method they give you (their return label etc) - it took 21 days from date i dropped it off to their 'receiving' it. I order online a lot. Returns are usually handed off/back to the company with 3-5 days via same ups/usps methods (credit may take awhile but the return gets there.). Sundance doesn't say they're 'received' it until 21+ days... its very odd. Consistently odd. I suspect they want to stall credits. But whatever, never again. Never.
I purchased a pair of shoes, I couldn't get them on they were so small. I paid to ship them back the same day they arrived. Sundance has had the return for 14 days and have not processed my refund. Customer service has no clue when they will issue a refund. Items are refunded in the order they arrive back. They have so many returns that they can't process them. Customer service was useless. Two weeks and no refund is not acceptable. Unable to say when I will get a refund is unacceptable. Poor product and even poor service.
Zero contact from customer service on back-ordered items. But considering that they never had the items when they published the catalog - it is really a back-order? Or is it more sinister like a bait-and-switch tactic? These catalog shoots happen 3 to 6 months before they are released. So given that I purchased these items February 2022 when they were listed for sale in the catalog, they were probably photographed in October 2021. But upon ordering, I immediately got an email that they weren't available until May and August 2022. This is bull$#*!. And of course, they SAY they will keep you notified if the delay is longer, but my May date came and went and not one reached out from Sundance. Had I not called I wouldn't have known that my new back-order date is now June and August. My last purchase from this crock of $#*! retailer.

I've been buying clothes from Sundance for years and typically love their products. However, I just had my first experience dealing with their customer service department after they charged my wrong card for a purchase. Absolutely NO HELP whatsoever from them. They will no longer get my business.
I ordered the Fair Spirit shirt, size small. The sleeves and the bodice are about eight inches too long, and it is tight in the bust. My bust is about 34", so I was really confused how the shirt made it through any quality control at all. I am sending it back, hoping I will be able to get a refund. I am really unhappy that they charge me for return shipping when the problem is entirely their fault. I won't be shopping there ever again.

If you're looking for something that may appear stylish this may be your place however if you also want or expect quality you may need to look elsewhere. I received a pair of men's lounging pants as a gift they were the wrong side so sent them back. I received the replacements with a section of the outside seeing that had never been sold at the factory I return them. I just received the third pair with an inside pocket that has been sown together. I'll just keep these and never use that pocket. It may come in handy if I need to scratch my leg.
Like many reviews expressed here, items are not what they appear to be in their photos which was the reason for my return. Colors on "Sweet Nothings Pouch" were not as shown so I returned this item immediately and am still waiting for them to credit my account. It has been three weeks since they received the item and they've made all kinds of excuses as to why I do not have a credit to my account, all of which are lame. Three phone calls to inquire, the last one waiting on hold for quite some time to speak with a manager, Karen, who not only told me they "must have lost the paperwork for the return", but instead of an apology, she copped an attitude! Certainly not management material. This company used to be classy and appreciate their customers... no more! Now I most likely have to dispute the charge with my bank if I don't see the credit within "another" 2-3 days. This should not be! Will NEVER order from them again after this experience!
While sundance is great for clothes and things like handbags, we tried to order a nightstand. The catalog implies white glove, in-home placement. They twice sent it inadequately packed and it arrived with the legs cracked, just left on my front walk. I needed to find help to bring it inside in the winter. The first one arrived damaged and customer service was ok. They messed up the replacement and charged us for both. Then to fix it they needed to charge us a third time for some reason, placing 1800+ dollars of pending charges on my account that I could not use for other furnishings we needed for our new house. The charges finally went away although I did have to make an extra call to push the matter. The second one arrived damaged and the customer service rep acted as if we were very suspicious. Again, the legs were right up against the edge of the box with packaging and were cracked. I asked if they had a way to pick it up or send it via different shipping method and they quoted me a price that was equal to the three they already had on my account. I want to really like sundance but the logistics seem to escape their ability. I ended up on Wayfair instead and got a very similar piece that was packed extremely well.
Purchased item and packaging and presentation is better at the Dollar store. Item was almost $200. Item not impressive. So returned. I shipped item to my neighbor as was not going to be home. Returned item. After waiting a month and no credit called company. Said would send gift card to address I shipped to unless that person called and would request refund to credit card. Asked for supervisor multiple times and call back, did not get. So neighbor called for me... so awful as I ordered and it was my credit card. I should say what to do with my money. As of now still waiting on refund and they have had return at there warehouse 37 days and counting. I WILL NEVER shop with them again. Worst experience with any company ever!
I use to shop a lot here, but as of lately, have been quite dissatisfied. The clothes in the catalog or on-line look beautiful…. But when you receive it, it's BLAW!
I have written countless emails on the inconsistencies of size on clothes. An XL is a bit snug and a XXL is too big! The last two blouses appear like I bought them at K-Mart, very wrinkled, bad quality, discolored, too big, too tight! You really need to make some changes, since I will stop shopping with you.
Answer: No. Sold it to a lawless private equity firm. Took the money and ran laughing all the way to the bank. Screw the customer until there are none, then just rebrand and keep screwing the customer. But when it comes down to it, its up to consumers to do their homework on all e-commerce as there are few laws, protections, and really no regulatory oversight/enforcement for this kind of criminal fraud which is rampant in the US now. Other countries have enviable common sense laws governing e-commerce on their books because their citizens wont tolerate the sort of abuses and fraud perpetrated by companies like Sundance, et al.
