Lovely items albeit a tad too pricey. Standard shipping too expensive for FedEx Smartpost which is a horrible level of service. I spoke to a rep who was quite curt about spending more money for the upgraded shipping. I am done with Sundance.

I pre-ordered an item in june that was due to come in August. I changed my mind in July and called to cancel the pre-order.It seemed to go smoothly until I received the e-mail that the item I had cancelled was enroute. I emailed to tell them I had cancelled the order and they claimed that I was trying to cancel the same day as I received the email that it was enroute. So they told me to send it back which I did but I had to pay shipping for the returned item. Now almost 2 weeks later I still have not received any receipt that my item was received or that I was refunded. I can't believe how this place stays open. I think it's time people stopped ordering from this joke of a site and let them go out of business as they deserve

Catalog nightmare

I unfortunately bought a pair of shoes at the store. Blister City! The only way to return and get a refund is if you give them your address. I am now being bombarded by catalogs. (24 so far) Sundance will sell your name to everyone who has a catalog. Buyer beware! I'm hoping they go out of business soon.

I too wish I had read reviews before ordering from this fiasco of a so called business. I have dealt with nothing but rude reps and when you call and ask where your order is they cant find anything and then they get an attitude. I lost my temper with one of them and cursed them out because she told me she will let mr know when she is ready for my order, really? Lady.If you return something be prepared to wait at least 6 weeks its a joke. Take your business elsewhere where they give a s---! Joanna.

WOW! Numerous calls to locate a package that never arrived. It was finally deemed a "dead package." When it was returned to their warehouse, I was promise multiple (three) times they would resend express over night delivered to me home, without the delivery charges to me account. I never came. The last call I made I was blamed "you are the one who made a computer order and input your address." She made absolutely no sense! Cancelled... We will see how long the refund takes.

As others have reported, the shipping and handling rates are outrageous. I had a $25 discount, and free shipping was offered as well. Because of the $25 discount special, they charged me almost $18.00 in shipping, for 2 tee shirts mind you that weighed next to nothing, stating you can't have a discount and free shipping at same time, even though they were both offered at same time. I returned tees, and again a crazy shipping fee. Keep away from Sundance... if more people would stop purchasing from these crooks, then maybe they will get their act together.

I ordered dresses for my daughter to try for her upcoming wedding. While the garments were absolutely beautiful, they did not work for her. I packed them neatly back into the same box and used the provided "Smartlabel" for free shipment back. Big mistake. I has been 3 weeks and they still have not received my $1500 in merchandise. I cannot track it. They say they can, but I cannot. Save heartache, pay for it to go back so that you can have a tracking number. Super slow. Literally they can say they never received your merchandise.

UPDATE: The company did write and give the discount of $25.00 after I sent them an email. I stand by my original review shown below because I wrote and email to customer service after speaking with customer service who gave no satisfaction. The promotion codes are very, very sneaky. Today, as a loyal customer, pushed me over the edge. The promotion with a smiling Robert Redford was, "Thank you for your loyalty... Enjoy $25.00 off your order of $100.00 or more." The use code and expiration were shown along with this, "For details: sundancecatalog.com/TYSP27." I couldn't use the code and was informed by a rude customer service representative that I only ordered $98.00 of full price merchandise and $39.99 of a sale item; therefore, I was not entitled to the discount. She said that I should have researched the code Website (when ordering from a catalog). This shipping is very high and the company doesn't waive initial shipping fees for defective merchandise. They did waive the return shipping; however, I had to pay $13.00 for them to send me defective merchandise. Beware. Almost all items are marked imported now and of questionable low quality and you WILL pay initial shipping, even if the item is defective. Sundance needs to take a look at their policies, customer service, and ethics. They also need to designate where the items are imported from. One item said, "Italy. Exclusive." What about all the others that say "Imported"? What about made in... America, China, Vietnam, India to better access quality measures?

Not worth it.

Interestingly, I tried to post an unfavorable review on their website and it was rejected. Hmm.
The clothes are of poor quality considering the price. Shipping is outrageous and they really bang you on returns. Sizing is hit or miss. Would not recommend.

I have been a customer of this Company for over a decade and I am officially boycotting this ridiculous business. The clothing is way over-priced, shipping rates are a clear rip-off, speed of a refund takes up to 3 weeks. Perhaps Mr. Redford should talk to the CEO of Zappos and learn their secrets to successful business, happy customers and positive follow-up experiences. NEVER AGAIN... I'm still waiting for my refund. Maybe I'll get in time for next Christmas to take my business elsewhere.

Nice products, but refunds take about 3 weeks & always require an unpleasant argumentative follow up call. I always receive less than amount owed, shipping is unreasonably high, arrogant defensive unhelpful customer service even when ordering! I am spoiled by GREAT customer service with all my other online companies.

Buyer beware!

I've recently purchased a jacket from here for my mom for Christmas, and my sister bought the shirt to go along with it (Angelwing top and Firelight Velvet Blazer). We both had awful experiences with this website. First... shipping was $18! Just for a light-weight jacket! My sister emailed them asking why their shipping costs so much and they replied with a BS review - pretty much saying what they have to go through to ship it (exactly the same method as every other website/company). It's a scam. PLUS my sister's order took about 2 weeks to be delivered! If I'm paying an arm and a leg for shipping, at least get it to me in a decent time span. The jacket and shirt are both made in China and the materials are VERYYYYYyyy cheap. I feel as if I'm going to rip the shirt just touching it and same with the jacket. I wouldn't even pay $5 for these items. The customer service is not helpful either. It's a scam. Never, ever shopping here again. Buyers, beware!

I'm disabled and rely on the convenience of catalog shopping since my mobility is limited and malls are tough for me. No matter how soon after recieving their catalog when I call too order something, they are out of what I want in my size with no restocking of item. I"ve been very disappointed on several occasions. While the quality and uniqueness of their clothes is very appealing too me, the inability to purchase them is frustrating. So I have requested too be taken off their mailing list. After a couple of years, of routinely being unable to get product, I thought perhaps the purchasing staff would have figured out what styles and sizes are popular and do a better job at ordering appropriate quantities. Goodbye Sundance.

I purchased furniture from Sundance and called to return the items because they were defective and not as pictured on their website. The customer service agents were rude and kept questioning my complaints. When I asked to speak with the manager Libby, she continued questioning and doubting what I was telling her. The chairs I purchased were making squeaky noises when I sat on them. They basically told me to "put some DW40 on them to solve the problem" what?! New chairs and I have to add oil to them? Really? Super disrespectful and awful experience! I see now that they have terrible reviews everywhere! Walmart has better customer service than them! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THEM!

Did they ship it?

I ordered items from four different companies on 9/29/16. The day after I placed my order, three of the companies e-mailed me order shipment information. Sundance didn't send anything. Yesterday, I received items from two of the companies I ordered from. I still have not received any shipment information from Sundance. The Order History section of the company's website is a joke. They list only the things you ordered--but not whether they've been shipped or not. There is no such thing as shipment tracking. I did a live chat with one of their customer service reps and told him I hadn't received any shipping info about my order. He told me he'd resend the shipping info--and didn't, of course. Wise up, Sundance! With your high, high prices and your lack of focus on customer service and communication, this is the last time I order from you. Not that you give a crap.

When you pay $16 in shipping you would expect 2 day shipping right... lol, they say "5-7 business days" which means 2-4 weeks, what a bunch of jerks to make so much money off of slow expensive shipping. When I asked if they would waive it I got a flat out "no". Keep it! Rude people!

Update... so I broke down and ordered shoes because I just had to have them. They changed me $15.95 for shipping and they use FedEx's SmartPost which is anything but smart. It will take over 2 weeks to get my package. "SmartPost is aimed at retailers who don't consider quick shipping essential to their business. Smartpost parcels are the lowest priority for FedEx when then handle them, and the lowest priority for the USPS when they handle them... that combines to be the lowest priority, and slowest, method of delivery outside of strapping it to a mule and leading it around the country for delivery."

I deserved this.

Robert Redford's Sundance Clothing Company has gorgeous clothing, jewelry and shoes for women. High quality. You can shop from a catalog you receive through the mail or review the catalog on line. I've purchased a dress, several pairs of shoes, and a ring. Be aware of European sizing in shoes. One shoe I ordered in a size 38 and it was slightly big thr the width, so next pair I ordered a 37. I love the leather clog, but my heel is just at the end. They were on sale and I love them, so I'm hoping the leather will stretch a little. I'd love to shop more with them, but it's pretty pricey. There are shipping costs. The company has frequent sales. I recently with an order received a voucher for $25 off my next $100.00 order. Sundance is fun to shop with just save your money before you shop with them.

No longer a SUNDANCE fan

I have been a fan of SUNDANCE for a number of years, but recently noticed the quality of their clothing is going downhill. This clothing IS NOT CHEAP. I have found the same problem as mentioned in other reviews- the sizing is very inconsistent.
Just this week I received four items. When I opened the box the smell was horrific. I hung the items and placed them by an open window. The entire top floor of my home reeks of a terrible ordor coming from these four items of clothing. On closer inspection each item label says - Made in China. What crap are they selling us? One iitem was a beautiful embroidered jacket for $428.00 again, not inexpensive, but it smells so bad and is of such crap quality I can't wait to pack it up and get the smell out of my house. Really too bad because I used to really love their stuff. No More!
