Sundance Catalog has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with some appreciating the aesthetic appeal of their products and catalog. However, a significant number of reviews highlight persistent issues regarding product quality, particularly discrepancies between advertised and received items. Customers frequently express frustration over delayed shipping, cumbersome return processes, and unresponsive customer service. Many report long wait times for refunds and inadequate support when problems arise. Overall, while the brand has a loyal customer base, the growing concerns about service reliability and product quality suggest a need for improvement in customer care and operational efficiency.

Placed online order to Sundance Catalog on 5/17/2021.
Wrong item received 5/20/2021.
Emailed Sundance customer service 5/20/21 with order confirmation and photo of wrong item received, requesting corrective action by Sundance.
As the error was entirely on the part of Sundance I expected Sundance to correct it (as other online merchants do).
Sundance responded by email that I would have to: return the wrong item, complete the return information packing slip asking for exchange to original item ordered, include payment information for original item ordered plus shipping. Refund would be issued for wrong item once return received.
I emailed the return information packing slip (photos) completed with wrong and original items but declined to pay for original item and shipping costs as the error was entirely Sundance's error.
As of 6/2/2021, there was no response from Sundance, nor receipt of original item ordered.
My email of 6/2/2021 was met by Sundance with directive by email to return wrong item, then they would take action.
To say that Sundance is not trustworthy, nor competent, is an understatement. They make an error but want customer to be accountable. They provide no customer service and take no responsibility for their errors.
Very BAD merchant!
Earring came appart first time my wife wore them. Took weeks to get here in the first place so return policy is void to start. Wrote several emails with zero response. This is not a good company. Spend your hard earned money where your patronage is appreciated!
I ordered a rug which was delayed for several months, When it was finally shipped, FedEx said it would be delivered on a Thursday, then Friday, and I still don't have the rug. I will never order anything again from Sundance.
I have never ordered from a company with worse customer relations than Sundance. I ordered a birthday present for my wife ( necklace order number *******) a month before her birthday and received it 2 months after her birthday. There is no contact from your Sundance and only when I contacted customer service was there an apology and update which I did 2 or 3 times. I used Sundance many times over the years but not anymore You didn't even contact me that it finally arrived or sorry or a lousy coupon for the delay. Obviously you must be doing so well that it is unnecessary to have satisfied customers but I am done with this company but I am sure that doesn't matter either
My first & last experience... I ordered a pair of boots that I had to have. They didn't have half sizes so the very unhelpful guy that I spoke with told me to "either order up a size or down a size." I decided to go up. More than 2 weeks later I still hadn't received the boots or even a confirmation email. Nothing. I called in and was told to "wait longer." Finally they came close to 3 weeks later. Great looking boots but of course they were too big. I sent them back using their return label and here we are 6 weeks later and 5 emails later and still no refund. So now I've had to pay finance charges on the credit card. Now after 5 emails questioning why I haven't been issued a refund, I'm told they have my boots but that the refund won't be coming for another 3-5 weeks because they warehouse was closed for end-of-the-year sales and they process returns in the order they're received. Here's an idea,,, hire more people if that's what it takes & don't shut down your warehouse for weeks at a time! Poorly run business for sure.
Would never Recommend this company for any car sales they are liars and thieves took my money as a deposit called me the 2 day after and said That's pretty deposit on the same day and no one knew but he can find me another car that's not at all how they should work I'm retired veteran drove an hour and a half to look at the truck put a deposit down we have a driver hour and a half back to get my deposit it's $#*!ed! The dealers name was Jeff... Avoid him and Sundance altogether
FYI Sundance rejected this review from their site, I copy pasted it exactly... I can't believe I am reviewing a gift card... I bought this gift card as an E-gift card 48 hours prior to needing it because I was going to order a physical gift card but they charge a ridiculous amount for shipping a little card, so I waited and just ordered the electronic one (thinking I might find something else). The site states the card will ship within 24 hours. Customer service says typically after 48 hours because they only email once a day?!?!?!? Never looked at reviews before for a gift card but now I see these delays are a common occurrence (I see one person mentioned 2 weeks?). However, despite specifically unchecking the email me box they still email you plenty of "buy more" emails multiple times a day. Their excuse is that it's a busy time of year... somehow this isn't a problem for any of the small businesses I ordered other gift cards from (or large companies sending via mail). I heard about this company from a friend this season and had thought I might use them in the future for other gifts, but I don't see that happening.
I ordered a Christmas gift on December 9th. It still hasn't arrived though I got an email saying it had been shipped on the 10th. I was told to check USPS because Sundance wasn't allowed to. And, I'd have to wait 21 days before they could act on the order status. 21 days! The customer service at Sundance is the worst I have ever experienced. From now on, I'm only ordering from Amazon. They at least compensate you if there is a mix up on their end.
I placed an order 12/9/2020. The website sent an email the next day stating a shipping label had been printed. On 12/14 I tried to track the package. The site indicated the order was in process. Online chatted with customer service, they claimed holding the order due to one item. I told them to cut the item and ship. They told me to check the next day make sure it shipped. Turns out that only one of five items shipped the rest is on back order. Nice job Bob. Maybe think about hiring some people from Amazon.
The included picture is a bare floor where the order is supposed to reside
I placed an order on 11/28 and only received 1 of the 4. Now i have to go out in a pandemic and find a replacement for the 3 items that I will not receive in time to ship to my family. I will never order from here again. I like their stuff but if you can't get it when you want it, it is worthless.
A pair of jeans I ordered was out of stock. Three months later I was sent the jeans and my bank account was charged $128. I had moved in the meantime. Therefore, the item went to my old address. I was told today by the rep to go look in the backyard or around the address it was shipped to. I was told they had marked the item backordered. What a piece of $#*! company. I had no way of knowing they were going to charge my account after three months. Do not order from this company. In a world of online shopping, they are a big fat zero.
I made my first purchase of the Garden Pant on Sundance, online. I loved them but they were a bit too small and I sent them back. I was shocked they charged me $21 and change in shipping. $21 to look at a pair of pants and send them back. I tried to leave a comment about the fine quality of the pant and about the outrageous fee they charged me. They would not allow me to post my feedback even though I did complement them on the quality of the product. Buyers should be aware of the cost to have something shipped and returned to Sundance. Needles to say I would not buy from them again. Yes, $21 to look at a pair of pants
Sun Dance completely messed up my order in terms of size and color, sent it late, and now tell me that to get any sort of refund, I must pay for return shipping. OK. I have no way to prove the error, but never again. That was my last order, ever.
This was my 1st time ordering from this catalogue. I ordered 3 items totaling almost $300, when they arrived the items were smaller than had been advertised and did not fit properly so they were returned in original packaging. Not only do they charge you to ship the items back but then in the small print after they return him it says up to 30 days before you could receive your money back! This is absolutely unacceptable in today's online shopping climate. I definitely will not be ordering from them again.
I used their label to ship back some merchandise, and UPS tracking indicates they received the box.
5 weeks later, no refund. When I called them, they said they would process the refund in 1-2 more weeks - they are "really busy".
I do a lot of online shopping, and this website consistently ships late, and refunds even later... no clothing is worth this hassle.
Love the store in Nashville, but when ordering online I always call to see if it's in stock in our local Nashville store. If it's not, they will take the order over the phone and ship without shipping costs. I absolutely love Sundance clothing, but really do believe they need to abolish the shipping costs to keep in line with other retailers. Ordering over the phone to get around shipping costs works for me, but costs Sundance more (in employee costs) than if they just didn't charge for shipping. I can always add more to my Sundance order to get free shipping if it was an option (free shipping for $100+ or so?).
Love the outlet shop too -- got gorgeous western boots for just a little over $100 in the outlet. Fit is perfect too.
Sundance is a generally a 'higher-end" retail store. When items go on sale, then they are much more affordable for me. However, recently I have had mixed feelings about my outlet purchases. The first time the items appeared to be "new" but the second time, the items I received appeared to have been used and or/washed, and then discounted/shipped out to me. The 2nd time, they were both packed horribly wrinkled, and with what appeared to be a pre-washed garment on one of them. Not happy at all time #2. Quality control appears inconsistent.
The shirt I ordered was poorly made. It was oddly bulky and ill fitting. Also, it arrived two months after I had ordered it. I will never order form this company again.
I have been a Sundance customer for many years. Recently I received an item which was not of good quality -- basically, it was a bandana the Iikes of which would appear on my dog's neck after she had been groomed. I felt I should not have to pay for the return shipping of such a crummy item. After a long conversation, this issue was resolved. I then wanted to get a MORE EXPENSiVE item in exchange. The fee for mailing that item would not be waived. $8.00 for a $68 scarf that weighs nothing. Their products are nice, by and large, though some are quirky and some not of high quality, but the winners are winners. The issue is customer service which counts for a lot. I do not consider this good customer service and so, I will not be shopping with Sundance anymore.
Color not as seen in the catalogue. Customer service told me no pocket, then check ed again, said pockets. Takes too long to get package. These pants show light thru them even when doubled fabric. Slippery cheap fabric. I will not buy from them again. Simply too much money for pants made in India... paid #35 for a dress of same fabric at a Mexican store inNashville. I know fabrics, could not id fabric, label, but believe rayon. Already packaged to return and WE have to pay to return... crazy in this day when rarely have to PAY to return
Answer: No. Sold it to a lawless private equity firm. Took the money and ran laughing all the way to the bank. Screw the customer until there are none, then just rebrand and keep screwing the customer. But when it comes down to it, its up to consumers to do their homework on all e-commerce as there are few laws, protections, and really no regulatory oversight/enforcement for this kind of criminal fraud which is rampant in the US now. Other countries have enviable common sense laws governing e-commerce on their books because their citizens wont tolerate the sort of abuses and fraud perpetrated by companies like Sundance, et al.
Answer: Shipping costs are extremely high, shipping is very slow and quality is not consistent.
Answer: The photos are so deceptive that the product you receive is nothing like them. See my photos below. I wish Sundance would do better.
Answer: No you don't! Overpriced and poor quality. I Purchased a necklace on sale and it was so tiny I returned it. This company is no longer affiliated with Robert Redford!
