Bought a door shell in may and patiently waited until July to ask what the deal was. Said it was backordered check again in a month! Miraculously two days later the driver called to schedule a delivery time. Finally! Unfortunately the box was severely impacted on the window frame and drug along the ground. The driver immediately took it back. Called summit and demanded my money back. They emailed me saying they shipped a new one. Three weeks later I called and they said the order was cancelled but failed to refund my money. It's now the middle of Aug and I'm waiting my 3-5 business day refund check. Not to mention the hold time I had to go thru. Hours!
I ordered four shocks for my 69 chrysler 300 and they did not fit properly. The repair shop did not notice the wrong fitment until after they cut off the old shocks. Needless to say they made adjustments to all four shocks to make them fit and charged me for the fabrication. After speaking to customer service they said that they would have replaced the shocks but could not because they where modified to fit. The savings on the price of the shocks was eaten up by the extra labor cost. I will not buy from them again and would not recomend them to anyone.
They say orders will be shipped by a probable date and never guarantee the date leaving the customer hanging out to dry. Then their practices and policies are so vague customer service can't handle the call or message volumes so no one responds to issues.
Do not buy from this place Customer service is non existent, if you need to speak to anyone you will not get through over 5 hours via phone on hold and never reached a live person. They will blame covid or even Trump but neither has stopped at least email correspondence!
I've been calling for 4 days now and sat in the phone for 45 mins on my lunch break and an hour when I got off work at 3 all 4 days this is bull$#*!. I made an order and they gave me a number too my money but still haven't sent my $#*!ing order why I made my order on Friday and here it is Wednesday. I go in my order form and it shows nothing but I got a text from y'all with a order number. I refuse to every use this company ever again NPD IS WAY BETTER A AND SO IT'S JEGS. Try something new you get burned. Never again
My car has been down for 5 weeks cause summit has sent me 3 fitech kits, every one has $#*! the bed within 100 miles! Also they sold me a waterpump that was claimed to fit on my 62 vette... it didn't fit! I was told that the new EFI kit would be sent next day... just got the tracking and it's 4 days out! Don't know how they went down hill so fast but I won't be ordering anything from them again.

I ordered a header on wed 7/15/20. I rcvd an email that day with an order number and ship date. Never rcvd a note showing tracking number so I logged on to my account to check status. My account shows no orders open. There is no other way on the website to check on an order. As I type I have been on hold for 1 hour and 20 mins. My rebuild is on a time schedule and I really need this part ASAP. If only I could talk with someone about this it would ease my frustration. I went to on line ordering because shopping at a Summit store is a beat down. I hate waiting in line and the stores have 3 of them just to purchase a part.
Confusion between UPS and us over a return, only 2 out of 4 return labels used. They made it right, thank you.
Date: 7/15/20 1:30 pm... I have been on hold now for over 46 minutes! Pathetic. I was told to send receipt by "Sierra" for a crank re-balance job after finding a defective crank. Invoice was sent via email on Tuesday, 6/9/20@ 12:17 pm. I have not heard one thing from them. Pathetic service
I special ordered a cam for my hot rod after 45 minutes they assured me it would be sent out that next Monday. 8 days after it was supposed to be shipped I received a email ot had been shipped after one salesman and purchase agent assured me that it would be sent out that next Monday so my take is they will lie to get your business.
I ordered KYB Shocks from this retailer based on the fact thwt they offered a $25 rebate per shock. I was given a website to go in and register the rebate online and after MORE than 3 months, still NOTHING! Tried going again on the website and it gave NO option for checkimg the status of a claim, just how to file a new one with KYB. Dont bother, Summit racing WON'T answer their phone either! Sat on hold first for 30 minutes, listened to a recording saying "due to high call volume we will answer in order. They hung up on me after 30 minutes! Called back once again, was on hold over an hour, hung up on me again! One of the worst online retailers with zero reliability!
One of the worst on-line retailers I've ever dealt with. Ordered a product which appeared to be in stock and ready to ship. Not only did they not have the item but neither did their distributor. They would not allow me to cancel the order as they said they'd have to confirm the distributor didn't ship it. Didn't hear back from them so I called to see what's going on. They said they'd contact the distributor and call me back. About an hour later I get an email saying the item had shipped and a UPS tracking # was given. This tracking # was not my order and going to someone else in Michigan. Called them back and explained to CS again... I asked them to put me on hold and call the distributor and they would not do it. I did a little detective work and figured out the distributor was Helmet House... based out of CA with warehouse in South Haven, MS. I called the CA office and they assured me the item I ordered was still on back order and they'd been without stock for quite a while. They confirmed there was no chance my item shipped yesterday. Now back on death-hold with this worthless CS department. NEVER AGAIN!... So after holding for 40 minutes the CS agent still refused to cancel the order and tried to put me off again. After arguing with him he agreed to call the distributor while I was on hold, 15 minutes later he comes back and tells me I was correct. They do not have stock and my order did not ship out. I asked him to put me on hold while he cancelled the order. He gave me the runaround about how he couldn't do it but assured me he make it happen. Still not done and the business day is over. Glad I used Paypal to pay these clowns, just got done filing a claim.
Poor service when you call make sure you grab a drink it will take forever on hold times over 30 min. Then they give you a attuide. They charged my card even thou i didn't buy the product then told me to wait 3 to 5 business days for there mistake. Called spoke to bridget she them put me on hold for another 20 min. Then jeremy argued with me about the matter. Attitudes to say the least. You have a choices where you spend your money...
I only received half my order. Called to find out why and they said they didn't know but they would refund it. I ordered the replacement parts, but of course some were out of stock or had be replaced by more expensive parts. I never got a refund for one item. I called three times and had nothing but rude interactions with employees that seemed to not care at all. After a week of trying, I placed a charge back with my credit card company, just for the single item I wasn't refunded for. Fast forward several months and I decide (against my better judgement) to make another purchase with them. I get a call from their customer service the next day, the woman was extremely rude from the start. She told me "I guess I'll just eat the $21 from your charge back, but if you do it again we won't sell to you again". I told her to go ahead and cancel the order, I'll purchase from somewhere else.
Called for rear Harley tire. Got price of 301.95. Found same tire at JP cycles with free shipping for 219.45. Told me if I called back with sight they'd price match. He also said I have 11 in stock would you like me to pull you one. Said I'd call right back. 5 minutes later they said they couldn't price match cause there were none in stock. Don't lie just say you don't want to price match. Lost my business!
I thought my order would be simple: Order a radiator, hoses, cap and thermostat. Since it was a service truck waiting for this stuff I had them check stock before placing order. Everything was in stock and ship next day. A couple days later all showed up except the radiator. I called them up and asked what's going on? SR said it on back order for a month? I said wait you guys told me there was 12 in stock that morning when I placed the order! So a nice lady gets me a better brand and I explained VERY thoroughly this a service truck, I need it ASAP. No problem she said, its will be shipped next day, I will confirm with an email. Next day, I get NOTHING again. I called up, and its on hold because the original didn't get deleted. WTF! They have to wait to delete things on MY dime? In my opinion The Worse Company, I can't believe they are still in business. They need to overhaul their SOP on customer service. They don't care about their customers, its all about the money in my opinion. I will try JEGS or Autoanything next time
Ordered cam and lifters was told they are on shelf week later no cam called said 2 more weeks! Never will I buy from yall again
Save your money and frustrations, order elsewhere! Terrible customer service. They keep sending the wrong product in the mail and then saying they aren't willing to check it before sending it to make sure it's what I actually ordered. Then told me if they send the wrong product for the third time they won't refund me or try and send the correct product. Terribly rude staff and obviously not capable of doing small tasks. DO NOT ORDER FROM SUMMIT! Order from somewhere else...
Wow! These reviews are unbelievable I've had nothing but a great experience with this company, & at first when they didn't put my apt.# on the order & ups could not deliver I was upset, but the supervisor Jerry called me & apologized & he was great after that I ordered a set of power stop brakes which did not work out called them & said send the brakes back mind you I had used them for about two weeks they said they would give me a full refund & they did. Because of this great customer service I bought another set of powerstop brakes & they are excellent. Thx summit racing
I ordered part for a 1987 blazer and I should have got free shipping but I didn't. Do I asked them to cancel my order and theh didn't now I wont get my refund and am pissed Never going here for any type of parts again. The coustmer servis team argues with you and dose not listen what you are saying and dosen't want to do anything about it.
Answer: I bought a creeper from them and they seem legit. I received the creeper, contacted support as creeper was defective and received a new creeper from them.
Answer: Compared to a lot of the other places I called Southwest, pertronix, and a handful of others, Summit performance parts was the only ones that answered and I was connected very short. Of time very happy with the phone option to speak to someone very knowledgeable as well.
