Went to china for a study abroad trip, this app offered the cheapest flights by far compared to anyone else, just make sure to sign up with your student ID, its cheap probably because of the layovers but honestly I didn't mind since I love getting off a plane to stretch my legs. I love that they offer insurance for an affordable price also. I'll probably purchase my future flights from student universe!
Student Universe is always my first place to look when booking a flight whether for conferences, vacation, or going home. Since I was told about it in 2014, I have lost count of how many flights I have booked with them. As a graduate student, I really appreciate the deals. Sometimes the discount has been enough to compete with car rental. While there aren't as many options, if you can be flexible on time, this is definitely worth it.

StudentUniverse had the best price for a complicated flight from FTE to LAX. The ticketing was a bit slow to flow into my email so I called them to be sure it was ticketed. I was able to easily get a real person on the line and they emailed me the confirmation immediately. Thoroughly impressed will be a repeat customer.

Sorry to say that but my expirence with student universe was the worst I have ever seen through my trips history.
I booked a flight from South Africa to London using the Student Universe website as I had done a lot of research on flights and it was advertised as the best deal I could find. Although an American website, it gave me the option to view the prices in my home currency, the South African Rand. When I confirmed the ticket and paid the invoice displayed an amount in Rands but the amount that was deducted from my account was over R1000 more than what I had confirmed. When I queried it I received very much automated responses that told me that all transactions on the site happen in USD so the discrepancy has to do with the exchange rate and it was my fault for changing the currency to my home currency. This is an option that their website openly provides. There is no chance that changes in the exchange rate could have created an R1000 difference within a couple minutes. Besides the fact, my invoice states that prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. My invoice was otherwise stated, it stated the price in Rands so that's what I should have been charged. The automated responses indicate to me that they do this all the time and they know they do it. Absolutely shocking that there is a company out there functioning to trick students who work as hard as they can to scrape enough money together to travel into overpaying for their tickets. If you are not in the USA I highly recommend you do not book through this website. If you are in the US, please consider not supporting them either based on the principles of how they operate.

I totally recommend student universe as I got the best Deal in comparison to other portal. Though it's always better to check exact luggage details with the airline directly to avoid any confusion.

I booked a flight for American Airlines with StudentUniverse and the price was cheaper on StudentUniverse than the American Airlines website. It was very effective. I booked the flight the night before I left to head back to NYC. It worked pretty well.
Yep, i am a student in my 50s with daughters who are students in their late tee and twenties! We all use Student Univers for great deals! We all have varying degrees of time available to travel - the more time you have for more and longer legs the better the deals. This is my go to first stop for making travel plans!
