When you are a student, you are looking for cheap flights with baggage allowance. As a student, I bought a ticket from the student universe website. First, they do not have a refund option. Second, they do not specify the baggage allowance on their e-ticket. On the ticket, they have a link to go to the website of the airline. Which I did and I saw 38 kg at first, then at the last minute 0 bag allowance. I called their customer service. To my surprise, they responded it is our policy and you had to pay attention when you bought the ticket. We do not specify the baggage allowance and we do not have a refund option. I paid 662 £ for my baggage. The airline also did not change the 0 to the regular since they cannot change it.
Interestingly the last-minute regular ticket with baggage allowance was cheaper than the student universe ticket that I bought two weeks earlier. It is a scam. Be careful.
Great website and app makes is easy to search for best flight deal. I booked a flight and saved on it when I compared against other travel websites.
I wouldn't recommend this agency at all. I booked a flight through them with virgin Airlines. The flight was changed few times then I ended up cancelling the flight. I called virgin Airlines direct and cancelled the flight they told me they will not refund me. It had to be through the agent I booked with which was Student universe. I have made numerous phone calls to no avail. They keep telling me that virgin Airlines have a backlog/ have not responded to their emails but this is now over 2 months, also i have to explain my case everytime i call them. I'm so not happy about this. So no I do not recommend them.
Hi, sorry that you had to wait this long. We've been actively communicating with the airline for the refund since then, but unfortunately the airline has not yet provided any updates. We know it's extremely frustrating waiting for a refund for 3 months, but we also recommend you contact the airline, express the concern, and see if they could expedite the process from their end. I am a student who is living and studying abroad for a year and I was not entirely sure when I needed to come back home when I was buying my ticket. So before getting my return ticket I called the customer service to ask about the price of changing the date of my return flight. I was told that it cost £15 (plus any difference in flight price) to change the flight which sounded very cheap so I was delighted. Unfortunately, this turned out to be untrue, and the actual price was an additional £150. The customer service was totally useless and blatantly lied to me. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Just buy your tickets with the actual airlines it's much simpler and you are then definitely getting what you pay for. There was also a problem with the baggage allowance as I was told repeatedly that my ticket was an Economy ticket and according to the Lufthansa website (the airline the ticket was with) I was then entitled to two free bags. However, my ticket was not an Economy ticket, it was a Basic Economy ticket which only had one bag. I only found this out when checking in online. I then had to pay an extra £55 to Lufthansa to get my bags on the plane. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Student Universe, they are terrible.

-Then covid hits and couldn't fly out, was told by them they keep the credit for future travel and that I had 12 months to rebook. I ASKED for a confirmation email which I never recieved.
- called them later on before the end date and once again they confirmed credit is there not worry, again I Asked for confirmation email which never recieved.
-called them a month later only for them to tell me the credit is lost now. What a piece of $#*!s!
I didn't learn the first time so I went with them again, Booked new tickets but they made a typo in the name, called to correct it and said no worries that would be 30 bucks, a day later I get an email that they now want to make a new booking and for me to pay the difference of 300 dollars as the airfare is more expensive now. What a load of $#*!.

I had made a booking through student universe for international travel.
I came to know about transit visa requirements at the last moment,
When I reached out to StudentUniverse they told me this is not possible, that is not possible.
Since the ticket was booked with StudentUniverse, the airline couldn't help me with rescheduling.
So, overall, it seems like, if I were to book tickets using Airline website, it would have been so much easier to reschedule tickets or to change routes.
StudentUniverse has been of no help, I had to book new tickets at last moment and had to pay to insane ticket fare.
Student universe is one of the worst travel agents, don't ever book a ticket from them. Really frustrating.

I have a credit voucher from an airline to use, SU told me to call directly airline, airline told me to talk to SU as they are my agency. Round and round. Now SU told me to wait for 24 hours so they can confirm with airline and activate my booking. In mean time if the tickets going up I will be not compensated. They could not even lock price. Agent was nice and I really controlled my emotions. I agreed to wait for 24 hours. Not happy how they are handling situation... I got voucher in around 19-24 hours to find out the voucher is short on money I have paid originally from $651.98 down to $544.4... where is the rest? Now I have to call them again. Reference number RYLNEQ. Now you have my info, phone number. Work with Casey and Ann. They helped a lot and was very knowledgeable. Work with Steven today and he treated me well. The difference of price was adjusted and I got full amount in vouchers.

I was supposed to have a flight on July 5th, but it got canceled. Apparently, Air Canada notified all the travel agencies on June 29th that they need to reschedule their customer's flights. However, all my flights got canceled over and over again without any notifications. They messed up and are not willing to pay the penalty for a flight that is on a different day, because it is more expensive. They take no responsibilities and just say "I understand" whenever I get frustrated over their lack of communication and dedication.
Update: Although I had to pay an additional fee of about $240 CAD, they managed to book me another flight from a different airline, which satisfied me. I still did not like the fact that it took hours of stressing and phone calls to get this result.

This site is barely real. If you buy insurance (don't bother) it's booked through a third party so they 'cant really do anything' about the insurance you bought on their site. Looking up Google flights brings up better deals than what they have to offer over the phone. But, if you don't love yourself enough to avoid the site always talk to a manager if you have problems: went from someone telling me it would cost $4000 to change a flight (even though I purchased $100 travel insurance) to the manager saying he could do it for free — at that point I had already purchased a new flight so I took travel credit. 3 hours of my life, gone.

They say 24hrs to cancel for full refund. When I tried to cancel they charged £300 per ticket!

It's lengthy but I have received continued poor service attempting to gain a refund over a two year period, they act as an agent until something goes wrong and attempt to pass all responsibilities, this company is part of the flight centre group in Australia which has had complaints and ACCC involvement over recent times, scamming customer fees etc, I am in the process of going through NSW Fair Trading to attempt some resolution.
