I purchased tickets from StubHub for a stray kids concert that happened on June 29,2022, at Pruduential Center NJ. When I purchased the tickets, the seller transferred them, but immediately rescinded them, scamming over 400 dollars. I've called StubHub numerous times for a refund, and they've given me empty promises of the legal team responding with a refund. It has been 6 months since this issue started with no refund in sight. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM STUBHUB. THEY DO NOT HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS.
StubHub is a ripoff, a total scam! The ticket that I bought was never delivered to me and the site had a note that they are looking into the problem. As soon as the event passed the order status was closed and I never had my money refunded or given an explanation of what happened! StubHub is NOT a legit business!
This company is truly awful, especially its customer service. I purchased concert tickets, which I never received, despite StubHub claiming (dishonestly) that the tickets had been "transferred." Despite several calls to StubHub support, I still never received them, but they kept telling me to "wait". Finally, two days prior to the show, I contacted support again and they admitted that the tickets had not been "transferred". They further admitted that they couldn't get me the tickets, so they gave me a coupon in the original amount of the tickets. The problem is that since it was so close to the show, it was difficult to find comparable tickets at a similar price. As it turned out, I found some inferior seats for a cost that was significantly higher. Therefore, I had to pay the difference and I had worse seats. Since StubHub claims to 100% guarantee their tickets, I feel like the company should, at a minimum, reimburse me for the additional amount that I had to pay. Otherwise, the "100% guarantee" means absolutely nothing. In any case, I gave StubHub multiple opportunities to remedy the situation, but they steadfastly refused. Buyer beware!
Honolulu, HI Khraungbin event. Purchased tickets 1 week prior. When I went to access the ticket, there was no bar code and a specific seat was not assigned. I payed $200 for the ticket and was unable to get in The next day, Stubhub told me my ticket was non-refundable because the event had already passed.
My takeaway: stub hub is a scam.
Purchased tickets thru StubHub for a college basketball game yesterday. Was sent a "Thanks for your order" email and then a "Your Tickets are Ready" email. I assumed the second email would be usable at the gate but no: i had to try to get the ticket with the all important QR code extracted from their site. I tried multiple times with my email (the same one they used) and a pass word but could not make it work. Then tried to reset my password, which it said that it did (and sent to my email) but i never received the new password email. I could not get into the event. I bought 2 additional tickets at the gate.
Very frustrated with the quality of interaction with their site, with the instructions on the email, the lack of clarity, and now a statement from their customer service personnel that they cannot refund tickets for a past event. I NEVER USED THE TICKET! Certainly they can tell?
Very dissapointed in their interface, and in their false claim to back their product.
I strongly recommend finding a different source for your tickets.
Ordered a ticket for the concert from StubHub. They never e-mailed me the ticket. I spent the whole day trying to reach them, and someone from customer support agreed to refund my money in 5 to 10 business days. The money was never refunded.
Was sent an email on Friday confirming my tickets; logged in to get ticket Sunday day of concert; clicked get ticket- nothing; researched and spent 2 hours watching video searching everywhere for my tickets; directions gave did not say to call nor provided a # without searching diligently. I emailed stubhub before concert & said I needed help; I then went to the ticket booth late to concert & showed them my receipt; they said my only option was to buy another ticket & call stub hub to get reimbursed; we called stubhub with no reply; i bought new tickets called Stubhub today; they act like they cared & said they would call me back in 24 to 48 hours but instead about an hour later sent an email saying they would not refund me basically avoiding speaking to me. Their site says Every order is 100% guaranteed but this is a lie they do not guarantee you ticket & I traveled 2.5 hours to see a concert & was left paying more money for bad seats. BBB has over 3000+ complaints in the last 3 years & 1200+ complaints just this year & still has an A rating; how is this company not held accountable?
Highly recommend purchasing or selling your tickets elsewhere. Customer service does not exist in the traditional sense. First person could not communicate well or offer any assistance. My call was disconnected when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I called once again to speak to a supervisor and was told my call would be retuned in 24 hours. My original issue was a fraudulent review process that disabled my tickets from being listed for sale. The review process can take up to three days. The tickets are for the World Series so they are very expensive and without much time to spare. My tickets will be available for purchase on StubHub for one day, best case scenario. Also know the tickets were purchased, without fraud concerns, from StubHub the very same day I attempted to list them for sale. In hindsight, I should have reviewed StubHub. Plenty of information out there providing a clear warning.
I purchased a parking pass ticket for and LSU game from Stubhub for an important client, at least three weeks before the event. I was informed the day before the event that the ticket was unavailable and was offered an inferior replacement. I gave them a one star because there was not a lower rating. I think it unfair to sell something, at a premium, and then fail to perform under the agreement.
Please don't use them, they are horrible, I went to Detroit for motley Crue and my tickets were sold, such a waste, then I had to fight like hell to get MY money back, they SUCK bad
I could write a very, very, very long review describing all the problems I've had with StubHub this season trying to sell my season tickets but I'll try to be brief. First, they stopped allowing seat numbers, terrible if you have good seats and the difference between you and other seats in your row could be 50 yard line or 35 yard line. They've had "glitches" the last two months, every time I called it's because I couldn't list with a feature or comment while other seats had the comment I wanted to list, or it would only allow posting with a barcode after I listed, then cancelled, then relisted to try and get a feature to be added. There are several options for transfer type with my tickets, just not on StubHub this particular day, less than 48 hours before the game.
Also, generally speaking, I understand how they can justify not paying you until after the event. Navigating cancelled events and refunds for every type of event (college football in my case) is probably tricky, so putting it back on the original seller because it's easier to just let them deal with any refund seem to make sense from StubHub's position. But they already have the money from the buyer, so why has my payment always processed on the last day of their payment timing policy, in a couple cases over biz 8 days.
There was a time when they were good at customer service. Nothing is perfect, systems have issues at times. And despite some language issues with their call center agents making my problems take longer at times to work through than I thought it should, all the agents I've dealt with have been very friendly and tried to be helpful. But literally NONE of the "glitch" issues I dealt with this season were ever resolved. It was a giant waste of my time, and the agent's time. I got the "It will be escalated" many times, nothing. Using a foreign call center is not a problem if your agents can effectively communicate with customers, I found this not to be true in some cases, making getting to "It's a glitch and I can't do anything but it will be escalated" phase of the call much longer to get to. Frustrating.
StubHub is a for profit business. I'm a fan of that. But when you go from being maybe the most convenient platform with very good customer service to what it is today. I'm out. TickPick, Vivid, TicketMaster are all a much better service right now. I'd advise not to use StubHub for the next couple years. Hopefully things change there. For now, avoid it.
Stubhub does not adequately screen tickets for advertising discrepancies. They do not honor the FanProtect guarantee that they advertise.
Thanks to the inefficiency and lack of solidarity on the seller side and their "seller policies" never explained and probably just shown in small letters this Company with deplorable customer services is not accepting any explanations on why I couldn't deliver the ticket was supposed to sell through them.
They do not even give you the option to confirm the sale, they just go ahead without taking if you received the tickets. It is as shame and very unprofessional from their side to do this. I genuinely hope people start choosing different platforms. I will, of course, dispute the charge with my bank as this type of charges are disgusting.
I ordered tickets from StubHub for a Friday night show and I never received them and they telling me that I can not receive a refund because they sent them to a guest account, but it was my actual account. I don't know what games they are playing, so now I'm going through the bank to get my money back. This is so confusing because it wasn't a problem getting the money. I also called numerous times and the same Rep answered the phone saying a different name. Girl I know your voice Crystal.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Do not ever sell your concert tickets that you cannot attend or they will sell your tickets and wrongfully withdrawal the same amount from your account. Please stay away then as they are crooks!'nn
I've been using StubHub for years to buy Yankee tickets and thats fine. But if you try to buy NY Ranger or NY Knick tickets for games played at MSG, you will never see your tickets or be able to contact StubHub. After you purchase your ticket, they send you through a maze of Ticketmaster-MSG ambiguity that leaves you totally frustrated along with no tickets, lost money, and no way to contact StubHub. I just lost $99 on a Ranger ticket last week after losing $72 on another game last Christmas. Also, I searched the web and there really is no way to contact StubHub. Stay away from this site!
I purchased tickets for the 7th in Philadelphia. No confirmation was sent to me by email. The confirmation came when I called customer service on Oct 1. The tickets on that confirmation were to be issued to a game in Wash DC on Oct 14. All agree that it was their error. Customer service in Jamaica has no power but you will be on the phone with them for a while until you figure that out. The contested amount is 624 dollars for two tickets. It will take 72 hours to talk to someone who may or may not choose to help.
StubHub operates the business like an Indian scam call center. No surprise since that's all you're going to be able to talk to in order to resolve a situation. The site is programmed to stall and have hangups so that it makes you list multiple times. They hold your tickets hostage once you do and will NOT work with you after you explain it was the website's fault. Multiple calls with multiple people in an endless frustration. DO NOT EVER GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. YOU WILL GET SCREWED.
I purchased tickets for an Arizona Diamondbacks game on 09/17 at 8:30am. Game was at 5:00pm. Order confirmation stated that tickets will be available shortly. 3:00 still no tickets and I call and they say there is an issue and they can't get ahold of seller and can not offer me alternate tickets, well ya you can't, it's 2 hours until game time. No call, no email nothing! Offers 120% refund as I have to buy more expensive tickets at the gate. Go to game and run into the seller, as our seats were in a section directly next to the one's we purchased from StubHub. I ask seller why they didn't answer the phone when StubHub called and he said, well if I want to go to the game and I didn't get a good price from StubHub or I can sell them for more money elsewhere, I just don't release them! What the heck is this?
Fast forward to a week later. I get the refund, but only 100% of it. I call, get "disconnected" 3 times. Finally a lady says, we only give 120% coupon, not refund. Now why would I EVER order from them again. What do you mean Coupon? Puts me on hold for a supervisor. You guessed it, 20 min hold and yep. Disconnected!
Shady Shady company.
Took 4 calls to get a refund for a show that they sold tickets to and then 2 days out didn't deliver them.
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
StubHub is a secondary marketplace for the buying and selling of concert tickets, sports tickets, theater tickets and just about any other kind of live event ticket you can imagine. StubHub is based in San Francisco and is owned by eBay.
