I use stripe as a payment getaway for my online store one year now!
This one year 2-3 clients opened a dispute to have a refund from stripe without leting me know and also they kept the product, the answer from stripe was to ask me for proofes that i sent the products. I provided everything they asked! Their final decision was to give the money back to my clients every single time! They kept also my product!
Ive had nothing but drama with this "company" as they received payments from my customers that were ment to be payed out to me but they but then the delayed it with out giving me a reason as to why 3 times and then stated my customers will be refunded so i went to carry out said refund which then told me i can not carry out the refunds to my customers. Not to mention there "support" team is crap and next to useless. So now im out about $700 and behind on parts bills due to this with still no answer 100% would not recommend to use them ever i have since removed all there links to my invoices so this doesn't occur ever again.
They told me they will hold my money for 120 days for now reason. That's fine. But after 120 days they won't even return the money and never said why or replied to my emails. I am sure eventually I will get the money back but why do I need to push them all the time to do something so basic! It is one of these businesses that you need to always chase to do something. And for me... that something is return the money they said they would return :D The money is not that much so I can sleep comfortable... but I imagine the nightmare something else may be having for the same reason!
Opened a new Stripe account and provided my Driver's license, and Credit-card for verification. I soon received an email that said some transactions that I processed were "Not approved by the customer" and that my account was suspended. I called the bank directly and they stated that no such transactions existed. So #1. Stripe lied to my face stating that transactions were "not approved" when they clearly were. And then proceeded to tell me that I was too "high risk" and closed my account. An absolutely terrible experience. They are a joke and I will never recommend or use their services ever again.
Anyone else having problems with stripe? I made a good few sales with my shopify store, I installed stripe as a recommended payment handler only to discover afterwards that my business no longer met the stripes standards and within 14 working days they refunded all my pre-paid customers and left me to front the loss of lost goods worth a serious amount of money., stock that I dispatched by tracking transport couriers and clearly signed by the customers who had ordered the products
I had no choice but to go back to paypal and process over 50k worth of transactions with them, To this date I have never got an exact reason why stripe closed my account, and to think they are created by 2 Irish fello men and this is how they treat sellers? It makes me even SICK to think about it
Worst Never Recommend to anyone. First you receive email that you are all set to go. When you charge your customer. They deactivate your account and deactivate chat option which is only way to get in touch with them. No support contact number. No response on emails. Stuck my $1000 with them and its more than 1 year i was chasing them to get my payout but still no response from them.

I had a very bad experience with Stripe.com Payment Processor for my ecommerce business and would like to share it.
I started using Stripe as a payment processor for my ecommerce website On July 2020, and I made about $20K through their payment processor.
I have been providing them with all required tracking numbers and was handling customer service very well and all of a sudden they decided to deactivate my account
And put a hold on %100 of my money for 4 months.
So, I waited 4 months to get my money back which was supposed to be at December 2nd. 2020.
Since then, they've been postponing withdrawl EVERYDAY and I have been contacting them several times over email and they always get back with the automated replies!
I changed my payment from automatic to manual, and whenever I click "Pay out to bank" they show a warning sign "Can not create payouts" and I have to contact support!
I will keep emailing them till I get my money back.
But, hope you guys stay away from them. I don't recommend Stripe at all.

I never received my payout to my checking account. I spent 4 days and tone of hours on phone and emailing customer service. The magical group in the world that handles payouts still have not fixed my issue and I have emailed them for days now. The worst service I have ever encountered in my life. Stay away from these clowns.
Please advise if your company is legitimate. I very sorry for not reading the reviews before I decided to business with your company. Please refund the customer their money as you said you were going to do. I have being writing but no one has gotten back in touch with me to advise on the status of the refund. Do I have to get the better business bureau involved and Attorney general for this matter to be resolved? You approved my account, then you decided not to release funds after holding $5k then saying the account is not approved. Why did you approve the account in the first place?
Do not never trust this company. Stripe is a payment provider that never protects you. Sales were made from our online shop with Calinti credit card. He realized that this card was stolen 1 day later. That's why he made me lose money. It never solved my problem. He also punished me and blocked all collections in my account. He treated me like a Cheater. Actually I got cheated because it didn't activate Stripe 3d and did not do enough Fraud analysis. He just sent me an e-mail stating that he cannot work with me because I am in a high-risk industry. LIKE A JOKE. He has his own security weaknesses. He cannot protect his Vendors because he cannot trust himself about security. They're not fair at all. Do not never choice this company for payment providers.
Terrible Service, constantly putting back outstanding funds, after not even disclosing the unlawfully withholding 25% of total
Its been two weeks now and I still have over 10,000 dollars sitting in my stripe account. It takes days to get a response from support and then when you finally do get a response, it is always vague and unhelpful. They don't even look into your issue, they just regurgitate some vague response and then put you back in the wiating qeue. No Phone either, impossible to get a hold of anyone. THEY ARE A TERRIBLE COMPANY. STAY AWAY
STRIPE IS THE WORST PAYMENT PROCESSING COMPANY and has the poorest customer service. Trust me, YOUR MONEY IS NOT SAFE! If I could give a 0 Star review, I would! I have removed Stripe's payment processing services from every business that I own and filed several complaints with the BBB and FTC. I have been using Stripe for several years, now all of a sudden, they disabled my account for no apparent reason at the beginning of 2020, and since STRIPE DOES NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER FOR YOU TO CALL AND SPEAK TO A LIVE REPRESENTATIVE, my emails NEVER GET RETURNED. So, I haven't been able to access my account all of 2020. A Stripe representative named Lisa sent me an email and asked me to send bank account information to verify my business info. I emailed those statements on 9/27/2020 and haven't heard back from anyone at Stripe since then. I even periodically receive FRAUD ALERTS from my Stripe account, but since Stripe has disabled my account all year, I cannot identify the status of my account or the fraud that's occurring. Someone needs to investigate Stripe and their fraudulent practices. STRIPE, if you are reading this review, CALL ME BACK AND GIVE ME MY MONEY YOU FRAUDS!
Apparently the MARXIST owners of STRIPE have no business in AMERICA. They shut down your account, if your BUSINESS does not match their COMMUNIST AGENDA!.
Been using Stripe for a little over a year. I used Stripe only for the simple convince of it being integrated with my Estimate software. Things went well until recently when they starting holding all my funds for not being able to get on my website. When I contacted the support team of stripe, they started the conversation by saying that they were recording our conversation. I responded by saying that was fine and I as well was recording the conversation. Their response was that they were no longer able to continue the conversation because I was recording and hung up.
I went through several support team members trying to resolve their claim of not being able to get on my website.
The support team is locate outside of the US. They told me that I had to grant them access to my website. I responded that there was no restrictions on the website and confirmed it with my web administrator. I ask them what country they were from trying to access my website... They wouldn't tell me!
I requested a refund to all the customers that they are holding funds on. Holding my breath that they do it.
I have been using Stripe for 4-5 years and never had any real issues. Support has always responded within 24 hours. Payouts used to be slow in the beginning, but now they transfer into the bank in a couple of days.
The only thing that bothers me is that we get a lot of error duplicate payments by customers since Stripe changed the refund policy for their processing fees, which when we refund Stripe keeps the fees. I would really like to think that this is a coincidence.
Stripe is by far the worst payment provider.
Please do your self a massive favour. Go elsewhere. Their fee's are just riduculous, but to make matters worse, they will come up with excuses to hold your money for as long as they can. Your hard earned money. Id say they are worse than paypal.
Stripe has frozen our client's payouts (More than $600,000) and they don't give us any specific reason nor a timeframe for releasing the fund. They don't respond to our emails. Avoid Stripe at any cost.
Been with Stripe for about 3 years. Never really had any issues or complaints. This year many clients have canceled their events due to the pandemic. And Stripe changed their refund policy this year. Just had a client accidentally pay a $2800, 00 invoice twice. I immediately issued a refund for the second payment. Stripes fee was about $85.00. Stripe kept the $85.00 for both transactions. This is total robbery. Shame on Stripe!
I updated my website on my account to a new DBA. When they saw that I sell coaching with an intuitive/psychic approach they canceled my amount immediately. I am considered high risk even though I've been a customer selling this stuff for years with no problems or chargebacks. Overnight left me with dozens of client payments subscriptions to deal with and switch to something else.
Doesn't help that Stripe owns so many plugins that are compatible with my website.

Unfortunately, when your customer initiates a dispute with their bank, it's the bank that begins an investigation and makes the determination on who gets to keep the funds -- and often times, they do favor the customer. This process is facilitated by credit card networks, but Stripe helps with this process by submitting evidence that you provide, such as tracking numbers. Although we can't make disputes go away, we do try our best to make them a bit easier to manage. As a bit of background on how the dispute process works, the minute that we learn about a dispute from your cardholder's bank, the funds and an additional fee are taken out of our account. In the event that you're able to win a dispute, we return the full amount of the charge and the fee to you, though the fee that we are assessed is not returned to us by the bank. We return that fee because we feel strongly that businesses shouldn't be penalized for disputes that are resolved in their favor. Because it is expensive for us to return those fees in instances were the dispute is resolved in the business's favor, we aren't able to return the fees at other times. In addition, since disputes are a forced refund by the cardholder’s bank and not a voluntary one on your part, you remain responsible for the processing fees for the initial transaction. It can be tricky for even experienced businesses to understand how to handle a dispute, so we've spent time documenting the various circumstances under which a payment can be disputed, and how best to handle each -- I'd recommend taking a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes to learn more.
