Took a whole day to get phone unlocked...was supposed to have been done a month ago...and port number to new carrier...they relocked it when porting number...customer service hard to understand...language barrier
Bought service at Walmart. Couldn't get it to work. After 3 phone calls and 3 hours spent talking to support, they couldn't get it to work either. We requested a refund. We never received it.
I have paid for a $65 phone plan last 30 days for talk text and Internet on the 3rd of every month that's what I pay for on the 3rd of this month I bought the $65 phone plan and had problems with putting it on my phone because of the last 4 numbers were faded for some reason straight talk was supposed to add my $65 phone plan on my phone 17th and the 18th of this month I had no internet service they said I used up all my gigabits no I didn't I bought a $65 phone plan I get calling messaging and internet hotspot service last for 30 days then straight talk tried to con me into a $35 phone plan for free why should I take the free $35 phone plan that doesn't last all month when I already have a $65 phone plan that last for 30 days calling message and internet hotspot service
I bought a $90 card with 2 lines and didn't use the 2nd line fast enough. They said I had to use it within 7 days. So I just lost $50. That's called stealing.
Bought new phone, activated online via card and no service after 2 hours. Called customer service multiple times and kept getting put on call back. By that time it was closed and still no service but yet they can take my money. I'll never use straight talk again.
I have been with straight talk for years. I made my payment 4/12/23 and did not receive my plan. I have called for 3 days. I requested a corporate email to show they debited my card but they will not give it to me. They want another payment. I have called my bank and everything is fine on their end. I really don't understand what's going on. Usually when I call to make my payments, I'm asked to give my security code but that didn't happen. Red flag. Tia is frustrating.
I've been a straight talk customer for over a year now. They provide one hell of an unreliable service. Regret going through them in the first place. Let's compare a couple of their plans. For $45 you can have an unlimited data plan, but if you go with the $35 service plan, you will be limited to 10gb worth of high speed 5g data. After that, the speed will drop down to 2g. This is complete BS because if Straight Talk can offer an unlimited plan for $45, then they sure as hell can offer an unlimited plan for $35. Straight Talk screws over their customers plain and simple!
When transferring a number the automated system says if it isn't done in 30 minutes call them. When you call them depending on what person you talk to it could be between 4 and 24 hours. By the way have a translator with you. I am a small business owner and still waiting for service. Wonder how much work I've lost and how many clients are not happy.They do disconnect your service at the time of request for transfer. You could be out of service for 24 hours or longer. BEWARE!
Plans are good, customer service is trash. The hoops you have to jump through in order to transfer a phone number is beyond me. You can't understand the people who answer nor do they help assist as I asked to confirm my phone number since there's a language barrier. She was uncooperative and said security reasons won't allow it. The fact that I couldn't pull the sms text because the old phone was broken, the other way was to provide phone numbers I text or call. Well I'm sorry but I don't memorize telephone numbers and with the old phone not turning on I can't locate those. There was no other way other than setting up a new phone number since I couldn't provide that information. Not like they can't look and just have me provide the credit card information that I pay monthly on. Definitely switching when this plan is up!
My boyfriend decided to switch from Straightallk to Spectrum and they have held his phone hostage for one week now by not unlocking his phone. Pretty sure this is illegal, especially since he is current on payments. This is criminal and should be stopped

I had an issue with my data. The last 2 months my hotspot data has been used incredibly fast. I has it to work from home, and I haven't had an issue with it, but in March I had to refill my data 12 days early and somehow all that data was gone in 9 days, some of those days I wasn't even using my hotspot. When I called customer service to see what was going on, they just kept lecturing me about how it worked. I tried to explain that I used it the same as I always do, so for my data to disappear after such a short time doesn't make sense. He would not help me further other than just tell me he is "trained and knows what he is doing" I asked to be transferred and he refused to transfer me saying he didn't have that capability, which I know is a lie, because I have talked to a supervisor before. I told him I knew he was lying and he just insisted he knew what he was doing. I switched service providers 2 hours later.
They allowed someone to pirate my voice mail, will sell your number to anyone, they will change the format your comfortable with, and what service. That Mexican drug dealer would sell out his own mother for a buck.
My 90 year old mother had a hellish time trying to resolve her not getting calls on her phone. She called for almost two month and every time she called they reverified all the info and issues and nothing was resolved. She switched to Consumer Cellular and NO ISSUES!
I called straight talk about getting a refund if I switch my service I was told to switch my service then I would get a refund so I call back about a refund and they don't want to give me my money back. I would understand if they would've told me that the first time I called but the need to prorate the service it's bad business keeping money for service they didn't use and learn how to treat your customers and don't be hanging up the phone on them! Bad customer service and I was with them for over 20 years glad I switch my service!
Every time I deal with their customer support it's horrible. Yesterday I tried entering a plan and the card's numbers are not always clear. The number would not go through. I had to call. You get someone from a different country and they speak broken English and it's very difficult to understand. She runs through the numbers and decided to transfer me. Took 4 minutes to transfer and the new person, I had to start all over again. 18 minutes of broken English not understanding, when it can easily been resolved in 3 with a it's all fixed. Thank you! Instead it's blah blah blah! The cellular service is great everything else just sucks!
Phone service is good, customer service/support SUCKS. Been a customer seven+ years. Only needed to modify payment method on my wife phone. TWO hours on the phone, hung up on twice, very poor communication, understanding. A Lot of aggregation for a simple matter!
Cant make or receive calls on phone. Internet is also randomly dropping signal. 2 days, 7 chats later, nothing has been done! Can't save a transcript of prior chats, so have to repeat it all every time! Twice, said they'd call back in 15 minutes on another phone, never called back at all. If you can't type your responses to their questions fast enough, they will DISCONNECT chat from you, and you have to start ALL over again! I feel really screwed over by these people. I can't even make or receive a phone call! Unbelieveable!
There 98$ warranty is a joke! My phone got stuck on airplane mode so I contacted straight talk, they sent me a shipping label so I sent them my phone. They then said it didn't qualify for the warranty (supposed to cover anything) they won't send my phone back and they won't send me a new one. DON'T USE STRAIGHT TALK! YOU'LL REGRET IT!
Don't do business with then. Can't get help when you need it. The help is out of country and don't understand what you are saying. Spend every month on the phone trying to get issues resolved but never happens. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Answer: Cheaper than ATT for a landline. I never thought of the problems I am having trying to get service started. I don't know how they stay in business considering the gift fact that Verizon owns them.
Answer: I've been pretty consistently able to get a hold of them. As far as them being helpful not at all.
