0 stars. I've had straight talk for years. I work on my phone. My name is Marissa Cobbs and I have tried to keep two lines due to the fact that I work on my phone.
I have three lines with them now because I just recently lost my phones during an emergency situation.
I need my email to transfer my phone number over or answer verification questions.
I cannot get into my email because I need the phone number to verify my email. I cannot verify my account because I cannot get into that email nor can I verify numbers that I have called because I work on my phone and unfortunately am not close with my family.
I have my driver's license with all of my information on it that they have on file. They refuse to allow me to send a copy of my driver's license for verification purposes and because I cannot provide other people's phone numbers or get into my email, they refuse to transfer my number over. I logged into my straight talk "my account" application and I attempted to pay my phone bill, in which they did allow me to do for the phone number on file on my "my account." However, when I tried to activate this new phone and transfer that number over they would not allow me to do that. I have important information on both of those phones that I cannot get into because I cannot get into my email without my phone number that they refuse to transfer over. I activated my new phone with a new number and email address because I wasted my money buying this phone, however, I still need something for now. I will not be continuing my service with them next month. They are thieves and this is a law suit if I wanted to go further in action. This new phone that I bought is so slow that can't even watch videos. It's just pathetic and sickening how they treat someone whose been with them for years.
Also, they refuse to give me a refund so I had to contact my bank.
I have been trying to activate the BYOP sim activation kit for a few hours now, but it keeps telling me that an error has occurred. I have been on the phone helpdesk with Straight Talk 4 times now, and they were all unable to help me. The first representative told me to call back in 4 hours and mention the ticket number of the ticket that he raised, which I did. (Ticketnumber: *******473)
So I called and then spoke to a representative again, but he was unable to fulfil my request as he did not seem to speak English very well (just following script on screen).
The third representative that I spoke to, either hung up on me or the connection was somehow lost (which is weird since my internet connection is stable).
The fourth representative tried his best to help me and forwarded my call to the "Higher" department, which seemed to be a native English speaking representative. I explained the situation and had to, once again, provide all the information. Then again, the connection with this representative got lost again, so no progress at all, except for my time being wasted.
And the best part for last. I tried to activate the SIM card one last time online, and it now shows that this SIM is "inactive". Biggest scam ever. Do not buy anything from this company if this is how they treat their customers.
I had issues with having to buy a new plan when I already had active service and then my service was interrupted before it was up for renewal. I guess I'm part to blame, but they really need to streamline things. You have to jump through to many hoops to correct issues. You have to give an authentication code before they can do anything. Total pain in the rear. Especially if your phone is broken. You will be on the hook for a new plan even if you have minutes remaining.
They're trying to double charge me for a payment already made and was rude kept hanging up in my face and will not let me speak to Supervisor. I called them multiple times even with proof they still did not care,.
I have lost money on the Internet scheme they provide. I also bought a 1100 dollar phone and they sent me a 200 dollar phone.
Said they will refund my money if you they get the 200 dollar phone in 30 days. They have a tendency to not receive products and will not refund.
How does anyone get the help by calling StraightTalk's customer service number? They hang up on you repeatedly,
Many other complaints… lost access to two of the three devices when Verizon took over; put my hotspot on auto refill when I did not request it; hung up on me when I was trying to get them to cancel auto refill; would not transfer me to a supervisor and lost service shortly after that!
It tool me four times calling to work this issue out but the 4th person I talked to whom was Jaymar was wonderful! I understand this is new to them also! I appreciate Jaymar's patience with me! Thank you so much Jaymar!
I've been a customer for ten years and yesterday they their agent told me I would receive an iPhone 12 max pro, SIM card, and $45 free month plan for being a long time customer and with my points. Called today because I didn't receive my confirmation and today they tell me that it was their error and a lie. Also told me they have no way of getting that recorded conversation even though it states on their system when you call! Their higher up admitted it was their error and I was lied too but refused to make it right! A company is only as good as their word! They promised it to me and got me all excited just to be lied too! They have the ability to make it right! I took off my auto fill and won't be renewing my service unless they make it right. I also will not refer them to anyone else and will be posting this on social media to warn towhees on how they run their company! If an actual upper management wants to contact me and make it right! *******628
Straight Talk has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Spoken with them multiple times and they are absolutely unable or unwilling to help problems that should be very simple to correct.
No one can speak English trying to understanding them is a challenge. I have been told to call back in 72 hours I have been hung up on multiple times and they still can't seem to help they have no idea what they are doing. Get people from America when that is who you are selling your products to.
When calling certain numbers, the call will not connect. Sometimes it's contact numbers and sometimes business numbers.I've spoken to 3 technicians on 5 different occasions, but cannot get resolved. I also lost 3 months of unlimited talk and text, but on last conversation I'll need to let them know when this full year is up and they will add at that time.
If I could give a 0, I would. It's now Tuesday at 11:39AM and I've been on the phone with this company for a total of over 4 hours since Thursday. Not only have they not been able to figure out how to port my phone from Verizon, but they have locked up my number so I have to pay Verizon to take it back. My phone has been with the " escalation team" (what a joke) since Thursday and they're supposed to be the gurus. This company conveniently has the "escalation team" completely separated from customer support so they can only communicate via messages, from what I'm told, and they won't allow me to talk to them either. Nobody knows what they're doing and they can't find anybody that does. This is my business phone, that I've been without for 5 days and they just told me it will take the "escalation team" ANOTHER 24 to 72 hours to transfer the line, which they already told me 74 hours ago.
Still charging me for a phone we haven't had for over 9 months! Tried calling no one speaks English you can't understand them they can't understand you and the phone has been broken and now on T-Mobile and I'm still getting charges. DO. OT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The service isn't good the phones get bugs too easy and they get hacked and they won't cancel your account without verification from the phone even if it's broke and not useable!
Longtime customer. I'm Switching to a carrier because their app has become not a very user friendly app.to refill for a friend.
I ordered my son a phone for his birthday believing the would be here in two to three business days and the phone never came. Now it's my son birthday and no gift. The costumer service was horrible. They ask the same questions over and over again. They keeping putting you on hold. They was not helpful at all! I am passed dissatisfied
Lets start off by saying you never speak to someone that speaks clear english. I have been dealing with an issue for 2 weeks now. Going back and forth, calling everyday, getting told I would get a callback and no one calls back or if they do it rings one time and they hang up before you can answer. Somehow my daughters phone will not activate. I was told I needed new SIM card. Got new SIM card and they still can't seem to get it to activate with her phone number. Issue gets escalated over and over. They obviously don't know what they are doing. Oh and they want to verify account with passcode every time. I give the same passcode each time. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. They hang up on you and never call back. They obviously don't keep records of conversations because I always have to repeat the issue. Horrible service!
After speaking with three different reps and spending 2.5 hours on the phone I was finally able to get assistance from Straight Talk "high tech" to install the 15 digit codes onto the cell phones of each of member of my family. Seems you must link all of your phones together for this to work. However, nowhere on the phone card does it state this nor provide directions on how to accomplish this task. The first 2 lower level representatives actually hung up on me after spending an hour each sending verification codes multiple times, asking for the IMEI number to be provided multiple times, and just seeming entirely frustrated that they could not get the codes to work for them. They do not seem to have the background knowledge to assist customers with this new product. Being a Straightalk customer for many years, I appreciate the discounted rate provided by the cards, but I am appalled at the lack of help from customer service for such a simple task.
Bought the card at Walmart first code worked 2nd code didn't work I called support they added but messed up gave me 1gb been on support with them 3days still have no internet they hung up on me I wouldn't even give them a star I work daily with my phone so I need internet I have none they see I have the unlimited plan but they can't figure out how to fix it its crap it shows on our plan it's unlimited
Im leaving a 3 star review because the service USED to be good and the customer service is polite. However, within the last 2 months my signal/reception has drastically went down hill... Also the phone tree when trying to call and reach a rep is absolutely horrific. It cannot hear anything correctly and you have to keep repeating yourself and after 5 minutes of navigating through the phone tree will you be transferred to hold for a customer service rep to come on the line to help. Again the reps are polite but sometimes the troubleshooting doesnt help at all... they say my sims card needs to be replaced with one of theirs but the sims card i have IS theirs! Anywho, pricing is unbeatable so i will hold on a little longer before considering changing if the reception does not improve
Answer: Cheaper than ATT for a landline. I never thought of the problems I am having trying to get service started. I don't know how they stay in business considering the gift fact that Verizon owns them.
Answer: I've been pretty consistently able to get a hold of them. As far as them being helpful not at all.
