Horrible! 2 hours on hold only to be able to hear everyone talking in the back ground and no response from the call taker! When I started saying hello the phone goes blank but the line is still open!
Straight Talk has horrible service as well as horrible customer service! Absolutely not worth the money!
New customer 3 days ago. Brand new phone. Brand new sim card supplied by them. Spent 2 hours on the phone getting it set up. Everything worked fine for 3 days. They "guaranteed" I had service til 6/25. Here we are 3 days later they allowed someone to take my phone number and transfer it to another account. They refused to give me any information. Said they would fix it but they need me to hang up and they will call back in 15-20 minutes. An hour goes by so I call back. Sit on hold for another hour and a half where I was then told I would need to purchase more service to use my phone. When I asked how service expires in 3 days, it was responded by "we decided the sim card is not compatible". Talked to 3 different representatives: Benjamin, Emely, and Jocelyn. They would not assist me without getting more money from me.
After hanging up the one text (with no service) I was able to receive is straight talk letting me know someone changed our account and to please log in if we didn't authorize it. I already purchased a new plan with AT&T for my husband and I. I will be sure anyone I care about doesn't use this service.
Thank you straight talk for robbing us, and jeopardizing my safety by having no forms of communication.
Don't use this company. The are con artists. I had them for two and half years and the customer service is terrible. When you want to make a change to your account and try to login online it will tell you your request cannot be processed and give you a disconnected number to call. Once you find the right 800 number to call, you have a 30 minute hold time to get through to someone that you can't understand. This happens every time you try to login to your account. I got tired of their BS and switched carriers. My son bought a new iPhone 12 pro max direct from Apple that he used on Straight Talk for 11 months. When I switched carriers they told us we had to pay them $50 to unlock his phone because we had not used it with them for a full year yet. How the heck do they have the right to charge me a fee to unlock my phone that I paid full price for from Apple? That is illegal. How can they hold my own phone hostage from me. I paid the 50.00 fee and now have to wait up to two days for his phone to be unlocked. I wish a lawyer would bring a suit against them for unethical behavior. Apple should be able to over ride scams like this when they can search their records to verify that you purchased your phone from them. Super Pis*ed off customer.
Talk to customer service on three different occasions got hung up on both times. They did not fix the problem my internet now is not working and that wasn't an issue whenever I call them. My original problem was I wasn't able to receive or make phone calls and now I don't have any Internet after talking to these people because they did something to my phone and then after he couldn't fix it that's when he hung up on me.
Every month I pay for unlimited talk text and data there is always issue when I refill service.If i pay for unlimited service I shouldnt have to use wifi just to connect to the internet. I have issues where incoming calls dont come through or incoming texts.Its frustrating spending 1-2 hours on the phone with a representative who barely speaks english and repeats the samething over and over before "attempting" to fix the issue and never resolve the issue. I feel like this company is a scam the only reason I do use because its cheaper than other companies
Straight talk rewards program is by far the worst, they tell you if you add another line you will receive 7000 reward points. When you try to access the reward points it says pending. After 60 days of pending the reward points disappeared. When you speak with a customer service representative they give you every excuse as to why you can't access your points.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I contacted straight talk wireless on May 17,2022 requesting a refund for my monthly bill since my device was suddenly no longer compatible with their service which meant I would have to spend money not only on another month of service, but also on a new device which I had not been forewarned about. The representative I spoke to on May 17,2022 advised me that the refund had been processed & I would see it in my account in 1 to 2 business days, at most 5 business days. I contacted Straight Talk today, May 19,2022 to inquire about the status of my refund. I was advised that the refund was not going to be processed due to having ported my number to another company. However, when I spoke to the representative on May 17th, I confirmed with him more than once that not only would I receive my refund in 1 to 2 and up to 5 business days, but that my phone number was also transferable for up to 90 days. Each time I confirmed this with the representative the answer was yes, I would receive my refund and I could transfer my phone number. At no point was it advised that I would have to remain with Straight Talk in order to receive my refund. Also on May 17th when I was attempting to transfer my phone number, Straight Talk then required that I spend an additional $11.46 for 7 days worth of service in order to have my number transferred. This means I am still technically a customer of Straight Talk, I simply do not have an active device at this time. I spoke with Juan in their corporate office and was advised I would not be receiving my refund, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor he told me straight out no he would not transfer me to anyone else, and when I advised I would like to file a complaint against him as well as representative who gave me incorrect information his response was "go for it." This company has no problem taking people's money but yet will trick them out of their refunds when they ask for them.
No offense. These folks must try hard to see how terrible and unresponsive they can be. Their web site is ridiculous and a bit hard to use. Customer service? Call them and find out for yourself. Get on their live chat and you will also find out. My 88 year-old mother lost her two month old phone. I have spent hours trying to get the account cancelled and my credit card pulled off the account. They just cannot seem to give me a straight answer. They promise to call and they never do.
Terrible experience. Terrible. Shame on them. Take a lesson in how to operate and be responsive to CUSTOMERS.
Had a contract less than 8 months I had the phone screen went fuzzy stopped powering on, they want me to pay the phone off & pay for a replacement phone. They're a joke I went back and forth with straight talk and smart pay for a week never again.
I bought a phone it quit working straight talk told me to send my phone in and they would replace it within 3-5 days its now 2 months later and they are still giving me the run around about my replacement phone after promising 2 different phones then tried to give me a cheap $#*! phone and lying to me on top of it I told the lady I last spoke with that im done with the lies and games that straight talk was playing that im filing theft by deception considering they have my phone that doesn't work and they haven't replaced it and also have given me the run around for 2 months i am also reporting them to the BBB Because this is not a place I would mess with they want their money but they want to lie cheat and steal from their customers
They turn your service off at midnight EST even if you live in Hawaii 6hrs behind so it's just another way to short the customer. $#*!en ripoff company and when you call 611 to complain they either hang up on you or put you on hold and never come back or my all time favorite just keep repeating the same $#*! over and over till you hang up. I really don't think the guys name your talking to is mike, John or Steve

Ok, so I add a airtime card to my reserve and am on auto pay. Instead of straight talk using my airtime card they charge my debit card a day before emy bill is due, then on the due date they take my airtime card out of my reserve. No problem, I just called and had my money refunded. The very next month I add another airtime to my reserve, I check my bank account because I had this issue before, and AGAIN, they charged my debit card, a day BEFORE the bill is due. So it seems that when I'm on autopay and have reserve time avaliable, they intentionally charge my debit card. Then when I get refunded it takes days to get my money back. It's freaking nerve racking. Not to mention, tcusyomer support doesn't even speak or understand English well enough to address my issue. I'm sorry but this company has gone down the toilet as well as all other major companies who transfer customer support to non English speaking countries, its RIDICULOUS. GET IT TOGETHER ALREADY
I been with Straight Talk for over 10 years, and its went to pot, they tell me an AT&T sim card is not compatible with an AT&T phone, so get a Verizon one, I did, put it in, worked a few days and quit, now telling me to get a T mobile sim, just done with them and going back to a contract phone...
Any one would be a bit testy. But when the supervisor said "This is your 1st warning" I flat out lost it. At 71, I refuse to deal with pompous fools. Especially ones who have a limited command of the English language and even poorer customer service skills. Bottom line? They could care less.
I would think it was an accident to be disconnected but it has happened 6 times. I want to change carriers and want my phone number released they say they are sending me a code but it never comes through. Terrible customer service!
We where in the phone for hours and days horrible company they also hung up on us 10 times. We got $#*!ed over DO NOT RECOMMEND
I was a straight talk customer up until yesterday. I tried to get them to release my cell number of 30 years. After spending all evening and getting disconnected many times, I gave up and went to Verizon and lost my old faithful cell number. I've had to call all my doctors, banking, family and friends, I am still passed off. I would advise anyone who is led astray by the low price of their service, to high tail it into the nearest swamp. There, I gave a scathing review, just as I promised the Straight talk representative I would.
I am so fed up with straight talk when I go on Facebook even I have to sit there and wait and wait for everything to buffer I can't watch a simple video cuz everything's got the buffer and I'm paying for high speed internet through my phone service I'm going to start looking for another phone provider because I've complained the straight talk before and it's just past the buck they don't care oh we'll sell you another phone they showed me about four so far I believe so I'm done with straight talk I advise anybody to run
Answer: Cheaper than ATT for a landline. I never thought of the problems I am having trying to get service started. I don't know how they stay in business considering the gift fact that Verizon owns them.
Answer: I've been pretty consistently able to get a hold of them. As far as them being helpful not at all.
