I wonder why "Stamps Dot Com" does not have a reduced insurance rate after a given time period the way the Auto Insurance Industry does. It seems fair that if drivers that are "Safe Drivers" and are accident free for a period of time have a rate reduction? A good shipper that packages and labels items to the best of their ability should have similar reductions... I would think.
We have been using Stamps.com for about 3 years now and are very happy with it. I have had to call customer service a couple of times with questions and they are always so helpful and very knowledgeable. For a small business this has worked wonderfully. So glad we got the service.
So easy to use, technicians are always patient and friendly and ready to help you. Saves time and money. Yes there is a monthly charge, but isn't there for everything? Saves trips to the post office, no waiting in line... print your envelopes with address and return address as well making your own custom stamps

Why do I have spend money to buy a stamp to get my refund for misprinted stamps and shipping labels. What happen to the instant refund button that credits my account over the internet. Now I have to print up return form to return misprinted labels and spend postage to send it all back to you. What's up!

After years of struggles with Pitney Bowes, my life became much easier when I found Stamps.com. And their customer service folks are most helpful.
Stamps.com has saved me so much time and money. Customer service is super. I have used it for over 15 years.
The $10 maximum purchase limits for us "basic" users doesn't make much sense. Stamps.com must process ten separate sales for us to get $100 worth of postage when we would normally purchase $50-$100 at a time. This costs Stamps.com much, much more in overhead costs. It's only a minor inconvenience to us. I wonder who's brilliant idea THAT was! We like the fact that we always have exactly the right amount of postage for any size envelope or package and a lower cost to send to a residential address than other shippers.
The software is awesome but it would help if there was an integration with outlook to keep updates in both systems in sync. However, the ability to auto email my clients about returns in route adds a personal touch which makes me look even more dedicated to servicing each client. The tracking software for the Priority mail service is nothing short of spectacular and has been used several times to calm down panicked clients.

We used to have a postage meter - it was expensive, difficult, and unreliable. We replaced it with stamps.com and it is very easy and convenient... and much, much less expensive. Also, they keep introducing improved products, which is really nice.
For $15.99/month they give you the right to buy stamps, nothing else. The sign-up process is vague and basically all you sign up for is the right to pay $15.99. The software is crap. DON'T DO IT! I called TWICE to get my account cancelled in the span of 8 months and the charges continued until I finally spent 45 minute talking with 3 different level technicians to put a stop to it.
This company was advertised as the one that helps with any shipment, being affiliated with usps.com in order to provide services that they don't like: shipment label printing. And it is not that I don't like information on what they do nd how great they do it. I'd like a simple search engine enabled, so I would find the same answers by simply using a search option. Not in their case. You can scroll the page up and down left and right, looking at the friendly smiling face of a dude, but it won't help. Need no magic, but constructive business? I guess not.
Here is another company that kind of tricks you into a membership without making it fully obvious they are doing so. Also, the app that you download to create postage is cumbersome at best and not user friendly at all. I wasted $25 with this company and never was able to ship a single thing. Terrible business.
I was a customer of stamps.com for a few years. It's great if you have a business that requires a lot of shipping because you get discounted shipping for every label you purchase. The savings really add up. However, I would not recommend for personal use unless you send out a whole lot of personal mail because there is a monthly fee whether you are using the services or not until you call and cancel. If you ever have issues, the customer service at stamps.com is very helpful and pleasant to speak with. Overall I would give them two thumbs up! Their website directs you to follow the steps noted below in order to cancel, but the "close this account" option SIMPLY does NOT exist! It is not there! You email them and do not get anywhere. You call their phone number and they put you on hold for over 45 minutes! In the meantime, they are charging you! "In Stamps.com Online: Open the My Account drop down menu and select Manage Account. In Stamps.com Windows PC Software: Select the Account Tab. Select the Change/Cancel Plan Tab. Click close this account.

The Stamps.com service allows small business owners and e-commerce shippers the ability to print USPS postage online using your computer and a regular printer. If you are printing shipping labels, Stamps.com provides the tracking number within your account history as well as via a package tracking email that is sent to the recipient. We also have a tracking webpage that you can input any USPS package tracking number and see the whereabouts of your package.
