Lithium Ion batteries are a dangerous good. Shipping dangerous goods internationally is an additional cost. Due to international regulations, shipping hazmat requires Stackry to use a certain box size and limits the available carriers. This is the reason why only DHL was an option. Our $12.50 dangerous goods fee covers labor and materials, and part of the dangerous goods charge our carriers charge us. Very expensive. Parcel weight was doubled which cased the shipping cost to be much higher then expected. First time using this service, will not use again.
