The worst company I' be ever dealt with by far.
I purchased a cellphone from Consumer Cellular.
They cover it through All State Insurance, bad choice.
I've been dealing with these incompetent fools for days on end.
I provide what they require, and I receive an e-mail saying that it's not correct. Do yourself a favor step away from them as far as possible.
Got the run-around for a week: "please upload a picture of the model number stamp," "please upload a video of the appliance," "please describe the issue"... and around and around.
I finally said "enough" after trying to get them to honor the warranty.
At this point I'm just going to pay out of pocket. There's a small chance they'll honor their agreement and compensate me for the local repair, but I highly doubt I'll get anything from them.
My advice: stay away from SquareTrade. Note this is "Allstate Warranty" - and it's what Costco sells. Don't bother - it's a waste of money and time.
I bought a dishwasher from homedepot
The whirlpool died at 2 months. Bought extended warranty. Square Trade wants manufacturer to fix
Manufacturer does not answer phone- one hour. Square trade is "sorry for my inconvenience " do not buy there warranty it's a sham
Wanted me to find a place to take my portable dehumidifier to be fix then they would refund me the repair. After i told them is is no place that fixes them, they wanted me to ship it to honeywell for repair. Was only a $279 unit. Never again. They will make it so it isnt worth the effert. Attorney general should investigate.
I bought a camera on ebay and purchased the SquareTrade protection. They put in a tracking # which doesn't make sense since there is nothing to send. Seller lied and said I had cancelled purchase. Eventually, at my insistence, he changed that and said that the final unit was damaged when being packaged which also doesn't seem truthful since the one item was a lens so what final unit? I have written to SquareTrade asking for a refund since there is nothing to warranty since the camera was withdrawn. Am not getting an answer. In response to their original email, I only get a notice that the return email address doesn't work.
If I could give negative stars I would. Process designed to frustrate and prolong in the hopes you give up. They will have you repeat the troubleshooting process several times with several different people over month long ordeal just to get a fraction of the value to replace your broken item. I swear Xavier ( the last person I spoke to) must be getting a kick back for the amount of money he saves square trade. Never again and I hope this is a warning for someone in the future.
What a horrible corporation went from representative the representative seven times then come to find out that what I paid for doesn't cover cracks and damage to my TV and that's what it said on my receipt
Typical greedy company will say they'll cover and then they don't so they paid nothing back to you horrible service
Don't waste your money purchasing a protection plan from this company!
They will give you the absolute run around. I tried to file a claim on an item that I'd purchased from Wally World. It was a nightmare! I had been waiting for days to get an email to click on a link to create an account, I am still waiting on that confirmation email to come. I then had to speak to someone through online chat at least four different times. They make you explain things over and over again so that you will become frustrated. I told them about the product and that there was an electrical issue going on and that there may be some type of defection with the product cuz it had some kind of indent in it which I clearly explain to them I did not cause. They asked if I dropped it I told them no I did not. I'm not so much upset about the loss, it's a lesson learned. But the customer service at this company is not helpful they seem to do everything they can to discourage you from making a claim. The frustrating thing about it is they will act like they are so sorry about what you're going through yet nothing gets resolved.
If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!
I bought a new mech marvel generator from homo depot, lasted less than 20 running hours, square trade said they would reimburse me $414.96. So far the money has not been in the mail, 2 times now we are going for the third time, if it was a damned bill they would have got it to me the first time, Square trade a division of Allstate your NOT In good hands, your dealing with liar's. The generator after I drain the oil Might make a better boat anchor.
Bought a plan from them they didn't specify what plan I got wouldn't repair my iPhone don't waste your time or money!
Bought the 2 year SquareTrade coverage for my son's Xbox controller through Target. I bought the controller in July 2021. The left stick has gone bad as of March 2022. No problem, I thought, I have it covered! I went online to SquareTrade and tried to file a claim. The site insisted that my controller was still under Microsoft's warranty. But the MS warranty is only for 90 days. Nope! SquareSpace denied my claim anyway, claiming erroneously that the warranty was a year. I logged onto my MS account and confirmed, as I already knew, that their warranty was indeed 90 days and my warranty had expired. Next I called SquareTrade and had to listen to the rep tell me over and over that the controller was still under Microsoft's warranty since I had bought it within the last year. Aarghhh! She told me I had to call Microsoft, even though I told her my account told me the warranty had expired. The problem: Microsoft has as crappy of customer service as SquareTrade, and I can't get a person there to talk to. Guess I'll wait till July when my year is up and then maybe SquareTrade's garbage warranty will kick in.
We called to schedule warranty repair on a covered refrigerator. We had entered the claim online and uploaded purchase receipt and other docs as required, and provided a description of the issue, and were notified that the claim was approved. BUT... in simply trying to get a technician scheduled, we had to call back SIX TIMES to get a representative who could actually verify our account FROM THEIR SYSTEMS ONLINE GENERATED CLAIM NUMBER, having spent almost TEN MINUTES with EACH of the first six failures. Having easily verified the account in less than a minute, the seventh rep proceeded to NOT LISTEN TO OUR DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM. After FIFTEEN MINUTES of realizing that he STILL did NOT understand that it was the secondary ice maker with the problem rather than the main ice maker, we INSISTED he just schedule a technician who could readily see the problem for himself (AND READ THE PROBLEM DESCRIPTION FROM OUR ONLINE FILING!) Waiting on hold for ANOTHER FIVE MINUTES, we finally got an appointment scheduled. We spent nearly an hour and a half trying to schedule an already approved warranty repair... REALLY glad I don't have my car insurance through an ALLSTATE company!
Called regarding my phone and just got transferred around and told to wait 1-2 days for an email … which never came. Save your money and time … don't buy a Square Trade policy!
Purchased a laptop from purchasing power last year. Had 3 of the ports (HDMI, Ethernet, and one USB) fail. Called and after some basic diagnostics they said it would be covered and to send it in. Okay great! That was over a month ago and I still do not have my laptop back. Every time I call or go to their online chat they push the date back further and further. They tell me there is nothing they can do and they will request an update which then comes 2 days later saying it will be done by "x" date. That date will roll around and Still no update. I will call and they come up with a different excuse and tell me they will request an update. Repeat process. They have all been rude over the phone and you can tell they truly do not care about the customer.
I have purchased SquareTrade plans from eBay for a while up until I had to actually file a claim and never know how difficult and time-consuming it was there is no way to officially link your receipt to the SquareTrade account other than taking multiple screenshots which they always requested additional ones. I had to cancel some policies because I never received the items and because it was after the 30 days I had to send all the policy numbers for each item that was purchased which was over 20 numbers I had to individually enter and they want to be to send individual receipts for all 20 policies it told a little over $100 to cancel all these policies which I've spent roughly 10 hours trying to do and I still have not got it finished save yourself the money and just don't break your stuff would not waste my time with them ever again...
There honestly is no point to this service. Don't waste your money. Just fix or get a new device on your own
My Samsung tv will not work and they say its super charge. They keep asking for a video I send one, its not long enough, send another one its not good enough, send another one wrong type., Going on two days. Best not buy a Samsung tv from Sam's, do not buy square trade warranty, all there going to do is play games to get out of fixing your product.
These people are simply scammers. Opened a claim on a vacuum cleaner that played out on me at the 92 day mark. Walmart would not refund, so went to file claim with SQ. They said they would refund by email with a gift card. That was five phone calls and two months ago. Said they lost my email plus other excuses. Scammers, plain and simple.
Years ago square trade was a good warranty service. I have had nothing but problems with them even sending a label to mail in my son's switch lite that they say they can repair. Now it's over a month later, still haven't received any label. My son's switch console is now broken because he's had to use that as a handheld while still waiting on square trade. I filed another claim in and this company is giving me the run around again. They keep telling me I'll hear back in 1 business day, and they don't get back to me. I paid a lot of extra money for these protection plans so I am very disappointed. I will never get another protection plan through them. I've contacted them several times and they still aren't doing what their supposed to do. What am I paying all this extra money for.? I wouldn't tell anyone to get this added coverage. Years ago yes, not since Allstate took over. They are the worst!
On their website it says you can transfer a warranty to someone else. Did that online and all hell broke loose! I call 15 times told to submit receipts, over and over again. Then said warranty don't match the item. Of course it doesn't it was transfer to a friend to use! Seems like they purposely make you mad and don't care. They don't listen and follow a script. Do not take notes from previous calls so you have to start over. Never got a claim filed. Wasted my money!
Answer: Company takes forever doing anything. Refuses refunding when it cant repair something and will make up an excuse to void the warranty.
Answer: Its quite easy online. Just dont expect them to actually help you.
Answer: It was the only one offered at the time of purchase.
Answer: There was a class action suit, that they lost. https://webservices.courthousenews.com/sites/Data/AppellateOpinionUploads/2023-02-3--14-06-19-320cv2725.pdf
