I'd give them a zero starts but the system won't allowed me. I have been getting the run around even though everything they requested is submitted more than 3 times and they still have the nerves to say it was not. After I submitted screenshots shots as proof and request a manager call, the person confirmed everything was received and a resolution will be given within 2 hours from our call. That was yesterday and I am still waiting. They don't hesitate to take the money out from accounts when you purchase a warranty plan but long week full of EXCUSES WHEN IS TIME FOR THEM TO MAKE A REPLACEMENT for a defective leaking item. Very convenient!
Claim was approved July 3,2022 and still unpaid as of July 25,2022. Company keeps on promising that re-imbursement (gift card) would be sent via email within one business day, but 3 weeks now into it, there is still no payment. Contacted company agents several times via email, chat, and phone calls and received same answers/script: Re-imbursement will be sent within one business day. I do not recommend subscribing to this insurance (mine was purchased in Walmart).
Purchased commercial ice maker along with Squaretrade warranty, a year later ice maker quit, SquareTrade said claim approved for repair. Once repaired claim was denied. Due to the word commercial.
Rip off, scam warranty not worth the paper it's written on... filing complaint with BBB.

I submitted a claim for a cracked cell phone screen and was given run around even after paying deductible and was told a email would come 24 hours. I finally got a refund for my deductible and gave up. Don't waste your time or money with Allstate and square trade
Super anoying because most of your "plans/Items cover have a generic, "electronics, or sound/audio. You can only see the item if you make a claim and provide retailer, date, model, number, I had a sound board stop and had like 5 "audio visual items. Had to search every possible store i could have bout it from. This sucks
Amazingly enough they can't find my purchase in their system. They tell me to go online and file my claim. It's a freaking joke!
I have taken out insurance that specifically covers liability in the event of theft. Now Squaretrade is not liable because it is not the right "form" of theft. Theft is written on the information sheet I received employee, as is the police report. I feel betrayed and ripped off by Squaretrade.
In addition, I was fobbed off with short emails, which I consider to be poor service given the amount that the insurance costs. I would therefore urgently advise against the company.
Have a warranty bought on an induction range
They assign the repair to a local company. The company supposedly puts the job on their website. They say the have hundreds of technicians. Since no one wants this job, nobody signs up. Called squaretrade and they tell me someone will sign up soon. It has been 10 days since I filed my claim. No one has showed up yet
Stay away from this company and really stay away from it if you used ebay! Second time dealing with them and they keep saying upload a receipt and i do and they keep claiming they cant see the date it was bought this and that people are rude they steal your money and wont help you out then you try upload stuff just get error plz stay away!
An extended warranty policy came with the TV I purchased from Costco but I could not find the policy online. The policy somehow got listed under an old email which I can no longer access. When I reported it, I was told the process. I had to send them a photo of the TV, photo of the serial and product number and receipt. I had ordered online so I sent a copy of my receipt from my order confirmation, Then I got an email saying that they noticed that the receipt was not in jpg or pdf format. So I sent that to them after getting a copy of it from the Costco site. I've had the TV for two weeks now and I still don't have my policy or can access it! God, forbid, I hope I don't ever have to file a claim with these people!
I've bought square trade for many online purchases over the years, but have not had to file a claim until this year. It should have been straight forward, the product was purchased, used only a handful of times and stopped working. I filed a claim online, but never heard back. A few weeks later I called & after several incorrect transfers, went over every purchase detail and was told a check would be mailed out. After a month I realized I never got it. I sent an email and asked them to void and resend a new check. Once they responded, they said 5 business days. I waited a few more weeks and still no check. I honestly don't believe in the almost 4 months of fighting with them, that I will receive a reimbursement. I know it is only $29 they were going to send, but I will keep fighting, it's the principle!
I purchased a Tv and got a 4 year plan to cover it. The Tv went bad 2 1/2 years later and the plan was to cover a replacement or refund the BASE purchase price. I paid $430 and the base cost was 377.99 for the Tv. Everything was moving along and was informed that I would be receiving my check via post. I was disappointed that I was out a Tv, but happy to get the base cost back to buy a replacement. The check came in for a prorated amount because " It was a used product and to save me the shipping cost " as said by Billy the customer service rep. Via chat. That is total nonsense and a lie. There was no mention of a prorated amount in my previous discussions and was specifically asked to provide a base cost as that would be the amount refunded. I feel like I'm being given the run around. Representative Billy informed me that he and his team are not equipped to assist customers with these matters and gave me a number to call. In true "BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE" fashion the department that handles Tv claims is closed. I was told to call again tomorrow. Why would a customer service rep tell me to call now when they know what hours that department operates at?! At the very least inform the customer of the department times. This post as well as my chat transcript and images will be posted online and forwarded to Gamers Nexus, LTT, Google reviews and the BBB. Insurance companies make money when they don't have to play claims especially when they inadequately fulfill a claim.
I have had computer, cell phone & big screen t. V. coverage. It appears to me if you are very determined & willing to jump through all the hoops & hurdles "they" throw at you, you may get coverage. If, you need their help finding your warranty - forget it. Once, I looked for my computer coverage & was told I didn't have it. 2yrs later, they said I only have two computers coverage information when looking for my cell phone coverage! Then they didn't want to give me that info (?) why; they don't want you to file a claim! With the phone, I almost chose not to continue with the process over a $5. 9. 95 phone. Their banking on that. So, I persisted. Now, on a t. V. I have everything they could possibly need & given; yet, surprisedly - they can't verify with manufacturer. I'll update this review with outcome. But, it is more then frustrating & be prepared for a voicemail question process which asks for same reciet info provided each time you call. They'll never call you. Good lucky our Patience will be tested.
I was charged over 100 for some bogus insurance on an item that cost 100.00. I never ordered the insurance! Beware

JB hifi must be getting kickbacks to sell this junk when you can pay less and get Applecare+ which includes cover for loss or theft
Don't waste your money on these guys, their customer service sucks & will do anything to get out of an insurance plan with you

I sent them some Sony Headphones to be repaired. I clearly told them to deliver it to a different address. Of course they sent it to the wrong address. I'm so disappointed! These headphones were expensive and I was using them to study with. I will never buy this SquareTrade insurance again. They are horrible.
Square trade took advantage of me. I didn't get what I paid for. Don't you research before buying square trade.
I purchased my Tv from Costco and I purchased SquarTrade I filed a claim they were giving me a hard time. They made me take pictures and videos of the TV, when I send them the information they keep telling me to send the information over and over. I regret purchasing squaretrade. Bad customer service not helpful.
Answer: Company takes forever doing anything. Refuses refunding when it cant repair something and will make up an excuse to void the warranty.
