Sprint sucks but they are cheaper than the best service. They also lie to people when trying to get them to sign up. You're told one thing but when you get your bill... SURPRISE
I had been a customer since 2002 and never had a big bill in 16 yrs then all of a sudden 700+ phone bill and no explanation... so I went to someone better and cheaper. We love it and the money they are trying to collect I've paid that over the past 16yrs so Bye Felicia
Today I opened up my bill to see once again that Sprint has removed my husbands veteran status and his ability to get his veterans discount. I had this two other times. They will not go back and reimburse you the discount they stole, nor will they do ANYTHING about it as the lady told me today. We just suck it up. Sprint requires you to go on line and reaffirm you are a veteran or lose the discount. My husband is a 100% disabled veteran as determined by the VA. HELLLOOOOO, his status as a "Veteran" doesnt change! So why the reaffirming his status? The only reason I can think of is to grab more money. We have had to be on Sprints plan as we were stupid to buy the overpriced phones through them. NEVER again. After next month, I am free from this company. It is obvious to me that they do NOT care about their customers, especially military/veterans
I have been with Sprint for about three years. I previously was with T-Mobile for 19 years. The only reason I made the switch was that I moved and T- Mobile did not have a strong signal in my area.
What an ordeal with Sprint! First I had to make an appointment about an hour away to get signed up. I brought with me, my husbands DD214 to get his military discount, and proof I paid my T-Mobile disconnect charges so that I could get "reimbursed for the disconnection". What a joke! Instead of getting reimbursed for the total, I got a nightmare. It took almost SIX months to get reimbursed and to get the military discount. In that time, I made 3 round trips to the store, made many calls trying to get things right. They kept losing the paperwork! When they finally shipped the matter to the upper food chain, I finally got the military discount for that month= but not for the back months! I also did not get refunded the disconnect fees I paid. I instead got 3 visa cards that you are charged each time you use it. Each of them was $100. They also had a short time frame to use them of like 90 days or they would expire. My son never used his in that timeframe and we lost the $100. I believe we did use one of the cards, but certainly did NOT get the full amount of the disconnect fees. I decided to ignore the issue of the disconnect fees for I didn't want to spent another 6 months trying to get that fixed and all the headaches. As if they didn't screw us enough, they stopped giving my husband his discount. When I called in to ask why, I was told he has to go one line about every 90 days and renew the fact he is a veteran.( a 100 percent disabled veteran). Now, I know things change in life, you get another job, etc. but I am VERY sure that my husbands status will never change, even though it would be great if he suddenly was not 100% disabled. In any case, he will always be a VETERAN! I called them on this matter and all I got was lip service of " I am sorry" and of course my husband got on the phone and things got a little "ugly". About a month later after posting on another website, I got a call from a woman saying she was " upper management. She said she would rectify the situation and that she would see he got his discount and would get it retroactive for the time he didn't get it and would get the cards reissued. I thought this was being ironed out. WRONG! Called today because I got no bill and the bill is due in 6 days... didn't see any credit for the discount he didn't get= nor any replacement cards. It has been 2 months since she and I spoke... Is this the way they treat all their customers- screwing them to make an extra dollar or two? I am beginning to think it is. I forgot to add that I had a month were somehow shorted the bill about $20. ( I paid $200+...) They sent disconnect text to my husbands phone. He does not text-he uses his phone only to make calls. Rather than add it to the next months bill- they cut the service for $20! They owe you money, hell will freeze over before they think of giving you a refund, but let you owe them- no service, even though they OWE him overall for the back discounts and the disconnect fees we paid for T- Mobile. I am seriously looking to go back to T-Mobile at the end of my contract in the next 3 months with a booster they will install in my home, cut my losses, and chalk up the whole ordeal to being dumb enough to even go with Sprint in the first place!
Their customer service is horrible. Their cell service is even worse. It is by far the slowest service you can get. In Metro Detroit, I get 1Mbps download and 0.04Mpbs Upload speed. Unbelievable
Sprint reps made the following statements to me (and I have the recordings to prove it):
1. "We can charge any amount every month".
2. "Once you have an account, you can be billed for services you don't have".
3. Your court order does not matter to us... we can contact all Sprint customers". (FYI, my account was already closed for over a year by that point).
4. We sell Customer Data, including payment information".
Small wonder why I filed legal actions against Sprint.
After receiving my bill for this month it went up by $400 more! I immediately called Sprint and spoke to 4 different representatives who were of no help and finally just asked to speak to there supervisor. 1 rep. Stated that there would be no supervisor until the following day. I then told her she needs to find a supervisor who is going to be able to help because they are falsely miss-charging my account. After saying that the rep found a supervisor I said how convinientwho by the way told me she has been listening to our conversation for an hour and this is the supervisor talking to me! I couldnt believe she is even a supervisor who didnt even introduce herself or try and ask me how we could resolve this issue. She came at me rude and tried to make it sound like I didnt know how to read or understand my bill. Then I told her you dont need to speak to me like Im not stupid. I told her there are 2 charges on my account one for a 30 day past due amount of $192 ( Ive never been late more then 3 days and if I am after 5 days its a $13 late fee!). On top of that fee they added a damage fee of $169 which when I upgraded the phone it was in good condition and the store sales rep. Even told the rep. Over the phone I shipped the phone out in good condition so you need to remove that fee. The store sales rep. Was really nice and I have nothing bad to say about their service but the reps. And supervisor who work in the corporate office were not helpful and rude. At the end of my discussion the supervisor stated that the late charge and damage fee are the same fee! How are two different amounts the same fee I asked her. When she tried to explain it and I calculated it it was different amount so she knew she $#*!ed up there because she even put me on hold! Then she said its been fixed so look at your account and I told her no it hasnt they removed the past due but not the damage fee but still kept stating its the same fee so I just told her that I will talk to someone higher up because she is of no help and rude for being a supervisor. So after all this all I have to say is be careful with your bill if you dont speak up they will get away with false miss charges on your account and rip you off! They are so careless and take no accountability for their actions that they probably wont respond to this.
The sprint store at 15 and sooner rd. In Del City, Ok. Is a joke. They want to say the assist wireless store next door is a bunch of crackheads, so what does this make them? T The monkey they have at the top of the tree holding the transmitter might need to be fed a few more bananas!
My Fiance and I switched to Sprint from AT&T because the place we moved to in Monmouth County had horrible reception. We saw that Sprint had a pretty good deal for leasing a phone and data plan so we switched and the sales associate we were with explained if we wanted to cancel at anytime we could. The cell service was HORRIBLE and we ended up canceling our plan. When we returned the phone we were hit with a $1,000.00 bill for canceling our phone lease early. Well we did not know that since the Sales Associate at the store failed to mention that important piece of information. When I called customer service they said it was my fault that I should have known. THIS COMPANY IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. We ended up switching to Verizon and they are much better.
Their map claims coverage in my area, but that's a lie--even in the capital city of my state, NO coverage!
Just avoid Sprint at all cost. They are the most dishonest, deceitful, and despicable company to do business with and by the way, their service sucks. I'm qualified to render this opinion, I've been with them for 28 years since Sprint Spectrum.
They will suck you in with false promises and when you attempt to leave, they make more false promises. They refuse to put anything in writing. Just STAY AWAY from this sinking ship.
I have been a customer with sprint for 6 years now. I am no longer now. Actually switched to MetroPCS and im pretty happy and content with them! Now In the 6 years I was with Sprint here is a few things I learned.
1- Customer service wheather over the phone or in person they are cocky, ignorant and VERY unprofessional.
2- They don't give a crap about you.
3- If you are a loyal customer and always on time paying, they still don't give a crap! They will screw you over just as hard!
4- Make sure to watch your bill! They will charge you 2 months for one the come up with some excuse that makes absolutely NO sense what so ever!
5- Even when you are cancelled and have been cancelled for months (3) they still seem to want to Bill you and still come up with excuses that makes no sense on why 3 months later they are billing you?!?!
I could continue but don't want to keep boring anyone. Just know Sprint is not all cracked up it seems to be. I wish I would have realized years ago and saved my money! I can just imagine how many times they got away with making me pay extra: :/
I have been a long time customer of Sprint. Im talking 15 years long time. They have good customer service when it comes to needing a payment arrangment etc, but when it comes to taking care of their long time customers, they suck! Literally everything is catered to brand new customers. Sometimes that makes me want to find a new carrier. I guess being with them for so long I just stick with it, but it gets old every time you are up for a renewal. Their prices are high as well, but I have heard they are cheaper than some carriers. My coverage is pretty good unless I am at my moms in a small town about an hour from where I live. I get no service at all out there. If Sprint would take care of their current long time customers, they would have a 5 star review!
When you call Sprint customer service you would be lucky to get an idiot. More often than not you get a moron, who will then thank you for being a sucker to use the world's worst phone service. Yes, it is cheap, but is it worth the aggravation? If you think so then you are the idiot, not Sprint.
I called about new phones with the Sprint offered loyalty discount from a Sprint mailer. The salesperson at Sprint explained that I could also save money if I changed plans. I listened, got a total, and went over the amount 5 times. I was re-assured 5 times that the information was correct. When I received my bill, there was no loyalty discount. Upon calling sprint I was informed that the new plan I had did not qualify for the loyalty discount. When I talked to the supervisor, whom had the notes of my original conversation, informed me that the sales person was mistaken, and there was nothing he could do about it, and the supervisor of the employee that lied would be informed. "SOUNDS LIKE WELLS FARGO BANK".
So I am done with Sprint after over 20 years. Supervisors name is: AUSTIN Phone customer service person: TONY
I use sprint and I wish that they had better coverage. There are alot of times I get one bar and thats it. As far as technology has came they should be at the top for service. I also think that their data is way to expensive.
They may cost $25 a month less than verizon for their unlimited plan but it is not worth the headache dealing with their lack of customer service. I had sprint from 2004-2010 and in 2009 I switched from what ever plan I was on to their unlimited plan for the military after joining the army. One of the benefits to military account was you could stop your service and not have to pay the phone bill if you had to serve over seas and you could restart your service and keep your phone number when you returned and all you had to do was bring them a copy of your orders. I got stationed in Germany so I brought them my orders to freeze my phone service. Then I was deployed to Iraq for a year and when I got back I had found out that sprint never freezed my plan and that my phone was disconnected and I owed $1200 to collections. Basically after getting the run around from them for a while I didn't have to pay the $1200 but having that on my credit report was not helpful in anyway. Once I got back to the US I switched to Verizon and have been taken care of, there was no way I was going back to sprint, and not just because sprint literally has no service on post at fort Polk LA, but because they pretty much have no customer service at all.
As a long standing customer, one would expect to be treated with respect and see some signs of appreciation BUT that is not the case. I have tried to get one bright rep. In the last two years and it is impossible. I had two morons try to assist me last night and once again, I received no answers. I am the victim of a stalker/harasser and yet they do nothing to assist me. Try discussing legal matters with them and they become the dumbest individuals on the planet. I think the "hold" music was brighter than they were. I hope you never have a problem with them because they cannot understand a damn thing. I was on hold (several times,) hung up on (twice) and received no answers regarding my situation. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS SO CALLED "COMPANY."
Please stay away from Sprint if you value your sanity and your money. I have never in my entire life experienced such horrible customer service, I cannot possibly regret the day I came to sprint any more than I already do. When we signed up with Sprint the sales rep over the phone talked me into signing up for their promotion plan which included 4 free LG phones at no charge and no contract plus our bill would be $50 dollars less than what we were paying with Tmobile. This sounded like a great deal so I signed up and I specifically asked this sales rep THREE times before hanging up, are we going to be in any contract with these phones? She assured me every time that we are not in a contract and that these phones are absolutely free. When our first bill arrived I nearly lost my mind, we were being charged a $10 monthly fee for each of those phones plus we were in a two-year contract now and to top it off our monthly reoccurring charges were double the amount I was told we would be paying over the phone. I could not believe that absolutely everything this lady say to me over the phone was a complete lie, and when I tried calling their customer service line I got no help at all. Their employees are a joke you will lose your mind trying to get an issue resolved, I was hung up on twice and the third time I called someone told me a supervisor would call me within 48 hours, I never got a call. Basically this never got resolved we were suck with them for a year and 11 months now our contract is ending next month thank you god i cannot wait for the day I can cancel our services. Apart from this initial issue with sprint they add additional fees that make no sense and when you call to get it resolved you will not get any help and will end up having to pay for it. During time with Sprint they also disconnected our services three times in the middle of the month and added a late fee when our bill is due on the 23rd of every month when I call about his they tell me the fee will be adjusted on the next bill and it NEVER gets adjusted. People please save your time, money, energy, and sanity do not get involved with Sprint. I have never in my life written a review on any company good or bad but today they pushed me like never before for disconnecting our services for the third time and charging us a $10 disconnection fee for NO REASON today is the 11th of December, our bill is due on the 23rd what is wrong with this company? The day I cancel our services with Sprint will be the best day of my life, honestly it has come to that point with them. I will post my experience on all sprint reviews so I can warn as many people as I can.
The stores and the costumer service is so bad, they even deserve a star. Please think twice before switch to sprint. They have a poor signal, a bad service and they invent charges that don't even exist. So bad.
I have been using Sprint since last two years.
Sprint sometimes make changes in my account without my knowledge.
Last time they activated some unlimited plan without my request, and i had to call them and cancel that. After that they activated my international calling even without my request.
I was not aware of that, one day i made international call thinking i am making a web call. At the end of the month i got a bill of 550$(Previously when i try to make international call it says you are not authorized). When i tried to call the international customer care department to ask how it happened. Those people are very rude and arrogant. And they are saying you made the call and you have to pay the bill and some unrelated answers. One representative said we can not guarantee that we can block international calling ever after your request. Which does not make any sense to me. They are never answering the question 'why did you activate my international calling'. I am frustrated with the team, All the days they said the investigation is going on, We will get back to you which never happened.
If it does not get solved in next two days then we have to switch to another carrier.
What type of customer service you have SPRINT?
