I literally had to e-mail them four times to find out they had sold my costume (already sold and confirmed to me) to someone else. No apologies, just whoops, here's your money back. My eight year old was pretty upset.
Had a funko pop for sale on their website and did not say out of stock, after purchasing and waiting 2 weeks, I had to call for a shipping update because the tracking # I was given didn't work. Turns out my item was on BACK-ORDER and no one at spirit made that known! My 2 other items FINALLY came AFTER my back order, which makes no sense and was literally thrown is a plastic spirit bag with zero wrapping! Just in the bag loose. First and last time shopping!
Unbelievable local stores aren't taking calls (I wanted to know if they had an item). Only number was corporate, phone menu selection indicated they could assist. After an extensive hold they referred me to instacart and refused to assist me saying they have NO AVAILABLE INFO. Instacart requires an account to use their services. Spirit Halloween will never get any business from me!
I came in here and I always come each year, they change the location over 5 times, this lady named jeanna was beyond disrespectful, Las time we came to this establishment they said when we come back because we spent over 1000, that we will get 50 off next year, just use your tele number or email address when asked she didnt know about any of this well I ask this rep and she said yeah well we don't know and refuse to ask her manager for help or anything. You can buy the same thing online or at another place I'm going to return it and go else where never shopping here again. Customer service needs to be better

Ordered product online with overnight shipping which was available but apparently not something the company stands behind as advertised. NEVER will order online from Spirit again.
I ordered a costume through the site in July. On the expected arrival date, the USPS tracking number said that it had not yet arrived at USPS. Contacted guest services who said that it looked like the order had been lost in transit and a inquiry with USPS would take up to 21 business days. It is now mid-September and I have no update, no item, and no refund. Once this is settled, I will never be doing business with Spirt Halloween again.
I ordered a costume on a Saturday and paid $20.00 for the two-business-day arrival promise. It did not arrive until the FOURTH business day which was the day my daughter was supposed to wear it to school. It was delivered after her school day started.
When I sent a note to the company asking for a refund of the $20 shipping charge, here is what was said by the company:
"As for the shipping, your order was shipped with 2-day shipping which can take 2 to 4 business days to receive. Your order was delivered within that timeframe. We apologize for any confusion." Additionally, they flat out lied about the postage because even the employee at the post office told me this was not shipped express (as I had been told) but, rather, with regular postage. So they are stealing our money by promising express 2-day arrival and requiring $20 for that service.
Do not buy from this company online. As you can see, they have an average 1.32 stars which speaks volumes about their poor customer service. There are plenty of other Halloween stores and of course, there's always Amazon which values their customers and bend over backwards to please. Stick with them.

I ordered two items from Spirit Halloween on Thursday morning, around 8 am. I chose overnight shipping. The only reason I chose overnight shipping is because the website literally said it would be here Friday the next day. Guess what ended up happening? If you said it's Monday and they didn't even ship the package out yet, you're right! Don't shop online from Spirit Halloween. I have emailed them many times and it's all the same reply. βYou have to give it two days to process the order.' If that was true then why did the websites overnight shipping option literally tell me it would delivered the next day? Seems a little strange right? Well let me tell you, it feels a little strange right now that I wasted SO MUCH MONEY for literally standard time shipping. If I don't get a refund for the fraudulent overnight shipping I'm never shopping here again. This is ridiculous.
I am completely disturbed and feel completely disrespected. The fact that Spirit Halloween has the audacity to have a president Biden mask that is completely normal, while on the other hand the president Trump mask is dipicted with an enlarged nose almost like pinocchio. As a republican I feel completely overlooked and almost like they are mocking me. Shut it down!
I've been a loyal customer of Spirit since the beggining, but the past few years they've gone down hill. It's like a wild goose chase to find what you need... I visit their stores the day that they open and visit often until closing, and I still can never find what I need, end up ordering off of their site, and the only thing they deliver is disappointment. Last year I couldn't find a single ceramic Sam Trick R Treat light-up statue in any of our local stores, so I ordered online and received one smashed in pieces because there wasn't a single packing peanut or packing bubbles inside to protect the item. It was literally thrown in a box and that was it. Last year, I also ordered a Sam Trick R Treat costume off of their website since once again, the store didn't have it in stock... and I'm lucky that it even arrived by Halloween even though I ordered a month in advance. The package took SO long to come. Recently I ordered a Jason Hockey dress, since for some reason... their store that's been open for 2 weeks now has every size in that dress but the Medium that I need. I ordered one off their site... and received a CHILDREN'S HOCUS POCUS COSTUME. I can't trust their shipping service, and I can't rely on their store for my Halloween needs. I'm completely disgusted.
Me and granddaughter went one on wolf road albany ny as she was tryin out displays we kept gettin followed by a worker he never introduced hinself he had his worker tag on we were about to purchase 2 costumes but decided not to because he followed us like we were going to steal very disrespectful very uncomfortable feeling had very disappointed 5yr i had to explain why, ladies behind counter were on there phones no greetings as people walk in this is how companies go out of business.
I had a themed wedding to go to Sunday. On that week (Wednesday afternoon) I order a costume and paid extra to make sure it would come in time. $20 for 2 day Priority Express shipping which delivers on Sundays. So I was set no matter what. I noticed Friday morning when checking the tracking they had shipped it Priority mail and that it would not arrive until Monday. Not only is this not on time, it is not express since it USPS guarantees 2-3 delivery at the maximum.
I reach out to customer service through their online chat looking for some easy solutions to this error on their part but I end up getting in a circular argument for hours of how they did in fact ship it express. I sent them all the evidence in photos, their own shipping charts, links and even the FAQ from the main shipping site. None of the evidence was good enough and I even got the response "We couldn't download your info due to weather issues impacting the internet connection."
In the end somehow it was evidence vs their word. I kept pushing the evidence to the point the chat staff disconnected on me - must have been the weather: p
Needless to say, it got nowhere, the package arrived Monday and I ended up paying return shipping for $16 more dollars. It could have been easily solved had they actually were interested in doing their jobs. That was an expensive $36 headache I had to endure - Never ordering from them again.
I regret not reading the reviews before purchasing from their website. Ordered a costume from them but when it arrived the fit was just terrible- too small even though I had followed their size chart. The skirt also looked awkward and different from the photos. I was told that I wouldn't be refunded shipping and that I'd have to pay return shipping as well. WTF?! So you're telling me I have to pay for something that was your mistake? I've had no problems doing returns with other companies
AVOID this company at all costs, buy your costume/cosplay needs literally anywhere else but them
Long story short as I have REPEATEDLY submitted cases against them I bought a defective item on 11/01/2020 complained same day. Returned their junk. They state they submitted a refund request on 11/12/2020. I still have not received my money back. I have no product nor money.
I purchased a BROKEN cop costume from spirit a week before halloween, the day before they stopped excepting refunds, for a party that weekend. I got home and realized it was broke and had to improvise my costume for the night because spirit was closed. (also this is during the pandemic so i could not try on my costume at the store, if that was a possibility i probably would've realized before i left) the next day i went to return it because it was broken and i had no use for it. They told me i could only exchange it and we went back and forth and i finally just gave up and said i would wear it next year. They couldn't find my size so they said they would just give me the refund (after, might i add, 3 different RUDE service people told me there was no way for a refund even though it was broken and let me make this clear, I DID NOT BREAK IT LOL) anyways they gave me this refund of $55 or whatever on October 24, well it is now December 17 and i am sitting on hold for the 3rd time, listening to $#*!ty violin music because i have still not received my refund. I am so angry and i will never be purchasing anything from spirit again unless it's like fake blood lol jk the fake blood peeled off and stained my skin
I ordered 2 t shirts in SEPTEMBER and never got a single email or anything telling me where it is, AFTER Halloween I called them because I still didn't get my items, they told me on the phone that my item was brought back to a warehouse in the beginning of October and a refund was intended to be issued.
I've called every week, and I get the same answer, I still haven't gotten my refund or anything, no emails telling me about what's going on, NOTHING, even if there's a bigger issue that I don't know about I'm starting to take this terrible service personally.
I'm downright being ripped off, spirit Halloween has essentially STOLE money from me, once I can figure out how I'm getting my money back I'm NEVER buying from their website again
I have a return one month ago and I didn't get the refund so far! They keep saying it's in process!
This is ridiculous that you purchase a product at a store and if it falls apart on the day you wear it you have absolutely no recourse of refunds. I will never buy from this company. Do yourself a favor - purchase from a reliable and dependable company where you have options to return or exchange products. We purchased an Alien Pick Me Up inflatable costume. Within four hours of wearing the air support dropped out - deflating costume. We tried to fix for the time but to no avail. How can you sell a $60.00 costume that has a life expectancy of four hours and again suffer no recourse or resposibility for this product. It is also amazing the company offers NO email or online support. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

Over a month and well over 10 conversations on the phone with your online employees and you finally refunded my 200 dollars. Your customer service team wanted me to splice and rewire an infrared sensor instead of just shipping it back and getting a refund like a normal company. Couldn't imagine Amazon, Lowe's or Walmart telling me to try to do electrical work on a product you guys broke in the first place. You seriously need a restructuring of your Dr Zombie and customer service branch because it is frankly embarrassing next to the passion and friendliness of your in store employees. After this debacle I will never order another animatronic online, only in store where I can talk to an actual employee interested in correcting your companies mistakes and return it directly to the store if there is a problem. Seriously embarrassing online customer service
