I've never shopping online at Spirit Halloween until this year. I wish I went with my gut and used Amazon. I paid extra for priority shipping and yet here we are and my order is missing in Indiana. I chatted with a representative and instead of helping me she just exited out of that chat. I would not recommend buying from Spirit Halloween online.
Ordered the bag o bones prop online on 9/29. Called today on 10/5 asking when the order would be shipped since the website says ships within 3 days. The representative proceeded to tell me that it isn't in stock? Why was I able to add it to the cart and buy it if it's out of stock? Terrible business practice if you ask me. Going to the store to find it is a joke as well. Their system is always down and they can't say when a shipment will be available…no wait lists either? Such terrible service. I was really looking forward to the cool but overpriced prop. Last time I'll be visiting.

Came in earlier to buy some spooky decor. I found this doll that I thought would be the perfect touch for my front yard. It is the best purchase I've ever made and would 10/10 recommend this store.
I ordered august 15th 2022 as i knew halloween approaches quick and wanted the set of costumes buzz and woody for both children.
They proceed to tell me THEY lost the costume so they sent another same set out great fine thanks. Even though that was not my fault.
And again the second package is stuck in the same area and has not moved since not even a town over.
Will never order from this company again. I will reach out to them on Monday again if it still hasn't moved.

I canceled an order in October and still haven't received a refund. I've emailed with them I've talked on live chat with them. Still no refund. This is honestly ridiculous and I recommend never buying from them online.
Edit: I finally received my refund on January 3rd.
Customer service on line was great, my order got delivered to a convemience store near where the recepient lived. I never received a email it was there, the tracking did. This was in Toronto, the person got their gift. Tòo much in shipping costs to Canada.
I was charged twice for one custume in oct 15th. I have been on phone, with the run around to get my 49.99 back! It is now almost end of nov. I still did not get my refund. In the process of callung and going on line i was hacked. Noone i have talked to has sent me ti sites that dissappear or they say they did not recieve my photos of reciept. Im sick of these guys. If my money us not in my acct. By dec 1st im reporting u fuys to better buisness bureau!
Not only were the employees rude and sitting at the checkout, the animatronic we purchased was broken and they refused to take it back. HORRIBLE service.
They're rude in person, and do not respond if you contact guest services online. Cashier's should be letting customer's know how long they have to return items, especially when it's only a few days. I've spent a lot of money there over the years, but they've lost my business.
We purchase a custom at The Halloween Spirit in Elkton, MD yesterday. We were not told by employee when we try to return because the bust inseam was told that is no returns after the 28th of October. We purchased mine Custom yesterday the 29th. Tried to return it today. Would have never purchased it of there was a place to try on. Wasn't told upon purchasing it that there was the return/refund after the 38th of October. * BUYER BEWARE!
I'm not your typical plus sized woman. I stand right at 6ft tall and I purchased the Plus sized skeleton tights and they didn't fit, stretched completely they fit a typical size large at best.
I think the spirit Halloween is the best store ever! I mean once I forgot to get a Halloween costume but when I went to Party City, everything was on the floor but Spirit Halloween had a very fast line, so good that I'm here writing a review!
I bought a costume for my daughter on the 27th of this month (late, I know). She loves the costume, it fits her well, but the costume is damaged. I brought it in today to try to swap it for the exact same costume, same size, same everything and they refused to even look at the defects in the store. I think that it is a little outrageous that I paid 60 dollars for a costume just for it to be damaged. All I wanted was a simple swap and you wouldn't have lost a customer, but sadly it appears that they don't actually care about what quality product their customers get.
The costumes are way overpriced and are made cheaply. I took a coupon I had received 2 weeks prior and they would not honor it saying it expired. It expired the day after it was given to me. Why would you even give a coupon if it expires in 24 hours. Totally disgusted and will not be back again. Hopefully they never come back.
I only gave a star cuz it won't let me give none. The cashier is a thief she asked me to round up I said no and this mf stole my money anyway.
Do not shop here. Horrible customer service. Not helpful and very rude. Do not order online. Items will take a long time getting to you. Customer service does not keep you updated on changes. Items stated in their site that are in stock are not. I learned that the hard way. Customer service does not care about the customers. Will never shop here again or Spencer's. I emailed customer service 3 times and never got a response.
We bought two costumes on Oct 25th. There was no dressing room at the store to try it on. We took them home and tried them on to find out they were too small. Took them back 30 minutes later and could not get a refund. It was past Oct 22nd. They offered an exchange up to Oct 28 but there were no larger sizes. There are no signs by the costumes letting you know about the return policy. The staff did not say anything when we paid for it either. I can see not offering a refund overnight, but it was like 30 minutes. There will not be a next time, but if there were I would strip down in the middle of the store and try the costume on.
My husband and I wanted matching halloween costume. I purchased his Batman costume 10/02/21 at a local store, same day I ordered my cat-woman costume online, it is now 10/27/21 & hasn't arrived. I've been communicating with them since October 10th, every time I speak to a representative they say it should arrive in 2 days. I called a total of 10 times, each time I called it was a 30-50 min wait on the phone before I could speak to a representative. They even said a supervisor would look into this. One week later and I still haven't heard back from a supervisor... After 10 calls, hours and hours of WASTED TIME they now believe that I won't receive package. So they "SAID" they will refund me my money in 5 business days... we'll see if they're even honest about that. Since it's October 27th today, they won't give us our money back for my husband's costume. Now we're stuck with a costume that will just sit in the closet & collect dust. He said he's not going to wear it if I don't have a costume. Spirit Halloween won't give us our money back for the Batman costume, only store credit. The thing is, it's 4 days before Halloween and we just can't find anything that we like at the store, the stores pretty empty. I sure hoped they would have been honest after my 5th call and say, hey... your package won't arrive. Clearly they could see that my package was stuck in the same location for 2 weeks. We could have had the opportunity to return my husband's costume & get our money back. We will NEVER shop at Spirit Halloween again. Amazon from here on! Never an issue with shipping, exchange or full refund with Amazon Prime! Below I submitted pictures and you'll see that my package was stuck in Hayward for 2 weeks. Hope this is helpful for anyone who plans to shop here. SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE, DO NOT SHOP AT SPIRIT HALLOWEEN!
Every employee except for one guy with fancy rings was absolutely horrible. They were rude and never even apologized for a mistake THEY had made. Costume didn't fit even though it said one size fits all. They had told me I had to buy it and take it home to try it on but that I could just bring it back and return it and so I went in to do a return a few days later and they refused to give me my money back. Even the managers were completely disrespectful. I've never in my life had such horrible customer service and I work in the food industry! Do Not Buy Here. Barely anything and the kids costumes weren't that great either.
Hi, I bought a Custome that it's from My Heron Academia last week. According to the package, it says it's size Smal but when I opened it, it was gigantic. There's no way that's size Small. So I tried to return it and I was told that the custome wasn't returnable anymore. I paid $50 for the custome and it's not my fault that it was gigantic. There should be some flexibility. The only thing the person I talked to said that it could be exchange but I don't want to expend $50 for another item that maybe won't fit. How can I trust. I understand there is a policy but there should be some flexibility for items that are expensive. Very disappointed with the store. I tried to contact customer service but it was like a dead end. No way to talk to someone that can help.
