Southwest Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of the airline reflects a significant decline in customer satisfaction, with numerous reviews highlighting persistent issues such as frequent delays, cancellations, and inadequate customer support. While some customers appreciate the competitive pricing and occasional positive service experiences, the overwhelming sentiment points to a deterioration in reliability and responsiveness. Complaints regarding seating arrangements and the handling of refunds further exacerbate frustrations. Despite a history of being a favored budget airline, many travelers now express a willingness to seek alternatives, indicating a critical need for the company to address these service shortcomings.

I have been flying Southwest on and off for several years. Most recently I try to fly using them as much as I can. Their no bag fees almost always makes them the cheaper deal, plus the flights are reasonably priced even without that extra bonus! I have not used their wifi so I can't comment on that. I love their boarding process. I wish other airlines would follow suit. Check in 24 hours early or pay $10 for early check in and you will be able to sit where you prefer (not in the middle). I would recommend them to anyone. I only wish they flew to more places!

Southwest Airlines has a site popping up on facebook offering 2 free seats. IT IS A SCAM! They hook you into this site to sign-up for free merchandise, and it just continues, and continues, and you can't get out. After hours, you've signed-up for all kinds of products for $1.00, or free with only shipping, and NEVER ANY TWO FREE SEATS ON SOUTHWEST! Do not fall for this scam. You will get this in the mail you owe for for months! I had to close my credit card no., and get a new one, and had to do the same with my bank account. I sincerely hope Southwest Airlines isn't behind this, because I love flying with them, but won't be until I get some answers from them on this scam on Facebook. Beware... NOTHING is for FREE any more!

I always book flights with them they have great service, and i really love their friendliness and flights are roomier and cleaner than most, but their evening flights are most often late though.

Southwest kinda rocks. It is easy to book flights since they fly just about everywhere and their Rapid Rewards program is an awesome frequent flyer option. I have been using them for years and they treat their customers wonderfully. No carry on charge, no change fees, cheap tickets, and free drinks when you fly on a holiday! I only wish they flew out of Regan Airport in DC rather than having to take the bus all the way to Dulles.

Their wifi service does suck, i had two connections, and each time they charged me for it. I tried to get my money back, but they have no support, no anything, the only name i got out of the csr i talked to was Row44, and they don't help you either! I had like 5 minutes of connectivity and then KAPUT, no more internet! Thanks Southwest, you really know how to ruin a good flight!

I reserved my seat online and also saw there was upgrade for WiFi available on my flight. I tried it when I took my trip, and it ABSOLUTELY SUCKED. I couldn't keep my connection, I had a connecting flight and got charged AGAIN for the same service because apparently your airtime doesn't transfer over, and there was absolutely NO HELP available on the website - no technical support, nothing. I'm never flying on Southwest again.

Make sure you check in 24 hours in advance - I used to hate getting a C ticket, but now I always check in 24 hours in advance to make sure I get the A ticket. Now they also have A 1-10, A 11-15, so it really does pay to check in exactly 24 hours in advance.
