I'm a professional photographer and I would always rent furniture as part of the production. A friend told me about Sofamania and since then I've been buying furniture for my sessions and offering them to production staff or keeping them for future work. For the price, they are perfect! Do you really think that you'll get a $2,000 chair for $200? Not a chance, but they will look surprisingly similar. As far as comfort, they are okay and they delivery for free, which is something most furniture companies will never suppress.
This is the worst experience I have ever had ordering anything! First they charge your CC before your order even ships then they lie to you about when you will get your order. My (shipping in 4-6 wks) turned out to be another 4 to 6 weeks to ship out due to being on back order! I cancelled the order and told them they better not charge me a restocking fee. If they cant fill the orders any better than this then they should close up SHOP!
I bought 4 sofas from this company after 4 weeks of waiting i emailed them about my sofas they send me an email with a link to track my shipment the link didn't work went back and forth with emails couldn't get it resolved i asked to cancel the order they said they will charge me 20% restocking fees. Now i understand if i returned the product to charge me but to charge before i even got them that's the first for me. Any way they made me so mad i canceled any way will never ever buy anything from this company again... don't let the cheap price fool you your getting what your paying for... what a joke
I hold them full responsibility of losing my shipment for the following reasons:
> 1. On a daily basis, I have checked the status of my order on your website and it does not say that My shipment was shipped.
> 2. I have not received a single email or a call that indicated that you have shipped my sofa. I have checked my junk email and there is not any email from you.
> On the other hand, I always receive you ads.

> 3. If there is a person to blame is the customer support staff that does not update me even with my case and I always need to run after them to ask about my sofa.
Never received the full bed. I have gotten the run around for almost 3 wks on the 2nd box. We have been sleeping on the floor for nearly 3 weeks. They literally have no answers and nothing to say other than I'm sorry for your inconvenience and I will get this resolved by the end of the day which never happened and I had to submit another message to find out what was going on. I mean this is so pathetic I know it sounds unbelievable. My husband wanted to return the rails because they are useless without the other 3/4 of the bed in the 2nd box that's missing mind you this is now 11 or 12 days since the 1st box arrived. 2 or 3 days after that they told him they would send a return shipping label reassuring him they would pay the return shipping. When I got the return shipping label email I saw in very light grey font that they will deduct 14.67 from our refund and made a note that seller is not at fault for the return. Why would we need or want a prepaid shipping label if we were going to pay the shipping? It's like they have us trapped! We keep the rails and lose 180 dollars or send them back and have to pay 15 dollars for something we didn't received! Only after I filed a dispute with my credit card company did they offer "a replacement" can't be a replacement if I never had it in the first place! So I purchased another bed right after they spoke to my husband about paying the shipping since we would like to sleep off of the floor and then they slipped that disclaimer in the email. So if I send the rails back it's as though I'm agreeing to pay the return shipping. What a sad and miserable experience all because we wanted a new bed. Absolutely foul business practice. So disappointing!
I ordered these couches 10 weeks ago and have been promised over and over they would be shipped by certain dates, which have long since come and gone. TERRIBLE customer service.
Our sofa broke from the middle within 30 days of purchase; can anyone believe it? We are 4 people & each one of us is fit. After a thousand calls, & an email, The customer service is offering 10% refund. LIKE WTHHHH this crap SNAPPED like a wafer!
I DONT KNOW WHERE THESE SOFAS ARE BEING SHIPPED FROM, HOWEVER AFTER RECIEVING MY SOFA (AFTER 4 WEEKS) I OPENED THE BOX TO FIND A DEAD LIZARD WEDGED IN THE BACK OF THE SOFA. I HAVE SINCE EMAILED AND CALLED SOFAMANIA AND AM YET TO GET A RESPONSE!
Horrible customer service, no one ever at number listed other number is a scam. ZERO absolutely worst place to purchase furniture, sent wrong table I ordered it two months prior to Thanksgiving, had to return since they sent out wrong table and my family had no place other than their laps to hold holiday plates. Still no money refunded and not even a courtesy phone call! Run don't walk away from this!
The Amanda Large sofa is not as described on their website: the fabric is of poor quality and not velvet, the seats are hard as board and not plush as described, the back of the sofa is about 17 inches from the seat to the top of the cushion, so it does not support the average persons back. Overall, it feels like an office furniture, not an at home item.
The shipping is not "fast" as stated on the website: I ordered the sofa on 16th Sept and it was shipped on 2 Nov. (it arrived 3 Nov). It is coming form China so it takes a while.
Shoppers, beware! There is a 20% re-stocking fee; returning of an item must be in the exact box (s) the item is shipped in. These policies are the reasons I had a local upholsterer modified the back and changed the seat cushions.
Got low-quality defective product (couch) from Sofamania. When trying to return was informed that 20% of the price would be withheld as "processing fee". Well, that's a nice way of doing business, isn't it? Based on their return rates, these "processing fees" must be the main way of monetizing their business.
Got matching chairs for my living room. They look great! Arrived in about 1 week, very easy to put together and I always get lots of compliments with guests. Similar looking chairs cost 6 times more.
After hurricane Irma I needed a new sofa. I ordered from Wayfair a replacement. After 2 weeks they said due to Irma they couldn't fill the order. So I called Sofamania... The rep promised me they could fill the order in 3 weeks, even after I told him Wayfair couldn't. After 7 weeks Sofamania still wouldn't give me a ship date. Even though they charged my credit card 7 weeks earlier. I thought it was illegal to charge before the product shipped. The Sofamania rep acted like it was my fault. I'm still waiting on my refund.
My daughter bought a $200 bed online with SOFAMANIA but when she was assembling it, she didn't find all the pieces. She called to complain but they never call her back. After 20 days they told her to send it back in the original package which she didn't have anymore. We still have a new bed with missing parts. We are considering filing a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection.
Website says the couch will be delivered in 3-4 weeks. It has been 5 weeks and they are telling me it will be about 2 more weeks to get in their warehouse and another 7-10 days before I receive it! So total about 8 weeks!
I bought a light gray tufted sofa from sofamania.com and the color was totally off from the picture, it was cheaply made, it broke within a week and I tried calling several times to try to get a refund or it fixed or something and my calls were totally ignored. I was never called back or contacted in anyway and now have a broken sofa I paid $530.00 for! Do NOT purchase from them, they are a total scam!
BUYER beware, I brought a gray sectional, the legs are plastic, very low profile, the cushions look like they were cut short compared to a regular sofa, hard as a brick very poor quality I'm afraid it may collapse while my guess are sitting on it. The plattform bed also has plastic legs some of the screws were stripped, some of the nail trimming on the headboard were faded, the bed is not sturdy at all. Until I can afford another bed I will have to reinforce the bed to keep it from collapsing. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
