The overall experience was good. I liked one of the patio set displayed on their website and ordered immediately, received it in 5 days, looking good and sturdy, I hope they would last long. Great bargain prices and good customer service, recommended.

Worth the money...

Its a great couch, my boyfriend received it today, He is very happy for this couch as it is a birthday gift for him from me. He appreciated the quality of the couh and the suits the decor of our room. I am very happy and I appreciate sofamania for such great service. Worth every penny I paid.

Perfection is the deal!

Great experience so far with Sofamania, even better this time, quality of futon shows that they have somehow manage to offer superior products for the price, their prices are sometimes too good to be true, and I remain skeptical about the quality but they were able to exceed my expectations everytime, sometimes they delay in shipping but rest all is good.

Quick and easy

So, I ordered a couch from this site. Without reading reviews, I know I know, shame on me. I told my boss and coworkers about it. My boss looked up the site on better business bureau and read reviews within minutes. She came back to ask if I did and told me all the awful, horrible things she read. And the grading was an F' from BBB. So when I got home, I looked it up... and freaked the F out bc I was scared I wasted and lost $450. The reviews all said they got the wrong furniture and it took WEEKS even months to get it. Well, I was tracking mine, and it said 2-4 DAYS. At 2 days it said it shipped but it never moved! It stayed in Indiana! So I got even more worried. HOWEVER, it DID show up in 4 days! I ordered my couch Tuesday, Oct 2 and received it Saturday, Oct 6! I waited and waited all day for FedEx to arrive. She even helped me bring the massive boxes (there were 2) inside my house. I opened the first one cautiously, thinking it was going to be the wrong couch / color... IT WASNT. It was absolutely the right couch and even more gorgeous than the picture! Now, I will admit, they have a weird way of measuring bc when putting pieces together, I did have to make some new holes to make them fit together. But, it came with all the pieces needed and everything! It's lower than it looked in the pic but I'm still super happy! I would def recommend! I took pics but since I'm on my phone, it won't let me add them

Stay Away... Far Away!

Now that my PayPal claim against Sofamania has been settled in my favor, I'm able to write a review. I cannot even explain clearly how this is the worst Company I've ever done business with in my 63 years. We are redecorating our living room, and ordered some furniture from them. I should have known you get what you pay for. Anyway, the color on the site vs. what we got was so different. Not only that, but such poor quality. Again, should have known better. I e-mailed them and they wouldn't get back to me. I paid via PayPal credit, and fortunately was protected under item not as described. I shipped everything back, but they continued to stall on my PayPal claim stating I'd have to close it because "PayPal was holding the funds." Well, in my stupidity I did that. I closed the case, contacted PayPal who told me that this Company never had refunded my money and to never close a PayPal dispute/claim until PayPal tells you to do so. Fortunately, they reopened the claim, and I sent PayPal the 2 e-mails Sofamania sent me to close the case. I won the case, and I hope PayPal takes away their authorization to do business with them. These folks need to be put out of business.

Wrong item twice

Customer service is horrible. Order a navy blue chair. Sent the wrong item the first time. Tried to send back and was horrible to contact. Told me to keep the product and they would give me 10% back. I did not want what they sent me. Sent it back and got another package that was awful wrong! Awful company!

Avoid Them!

Hi Order a couch that arrived damaged. It took emails and phone calls to finally have them issue a return label. Upon return, the refund was issued in partial amounts.
I also ordered chairs that had gushing reviews on the website. Upon receiving the chairs, I realized that reviews were deceiving. The chairs were extremely small and uncomfortable and I am a size 0 American or 2 European. They deducted 20% of my refund for the chairs. I also noticed and tested my observation that they only post mostly the positive reviews of the items and deliberately ignore the negative ones and hence I was lead to believe that the items are wonderful. I am going to avoid this company going forward and warn consumers to be very careful. When things go well, I guess it is great, but when it goes wrong, the use underhanded tactics to keep your money.

Truly the worst
September 27, 2018

I ordered a sectional couch, after 3 weeks I emailed asking about the shipping status. I received an email back stating that the couch was out of stock and that I could cancel if I wanted.

I then called and left a voicemail and 2 days later received a call back from an associate stating that the email I received was sent in error and that my couch was going to be shipped next week.

And then I get two more emails contradicting the associate saying that it was in fact back ordered and would not be available for another 3 weeks.

I called again and left 2 voicemails over the 3 days. I finally get a call back and was so fed up I cancelled my order.

I love the idea of a good deal, but damn, the amount of stress and wasted time does not make it worth it.

Scam

I didn't read the reviews and ordered from them. Waited for my couch for 6 weeks. Delivered to the wrong address and told me to look around for it.
Customer service rude and unhelpful.
Now I have spent money and ended up with no couch.

Waste of time!

Ordered a sectional couch with them with a 4 week delivery promise. After the 4 weeks were up I emailed and they said it would be at least another 4 weeks from then... Have been waiting on this couch to put our new home together and feel like I wasted a whole month unpacking. Very unhelpful and did not care at all.

DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!

I rode a sectional, table with 4 chairs weeks ago and I received a box few weeks later, went to open the box and it was not what I ordered. I called left few voicemails, sent few emails and finally got a hold of someone (btw worst customer service) she told me they would ship my furniture in few days. I received a box today and AGAIN wrong furniture! I called and called, emailed, left few voicemails until I got a hold of someone. Set on the phone for over an hour trying to get a refund. Of course I am still waiting for them to send me the shipping labels so I can send furniture that I never ordered back to them. I was told I cannot get my refund until I send the other two boxes back! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN! I wish I would've listened to all the reviews to not order from them! Lesson learned!

SCAM COMPANY

I purchased two sofachairs from Sofamania's website in mid July. The website promised a 6 week turnaround. I repeatedly sent emails asking for shipping confirmation and was told the product was delayed and they would respond when shipping information was available.

When I requested a cancellation of the order, I was sent a shipping tracking number the next day. When I received the product, I asked for return labels to ship the products back. Initially, I had to send 5 emails and received one shipping label and the promise that FedEx would pick up the product if I called and scheduled a pick up. Upon calling FedEx, I was informed that the shipping label that was sent to me does not qualify for FedEx picking up the item, but that I would have to drive two large boxes of sofachairs to a FedEx facility.

I emailed Sofamania 4 more times to inform that that their own representatives told me in writing that FedEx would pick up the item and they refused to respond or answer my emails. To date, despite my repeated attempts to speak to them, they will not address the return labels, send proper labels or refund my order for a product I cancelled prior to it being shipped.

DO NOT BUY from here, it is a scam. They will keep your money and attempt to tie you up in red tape. Further, their customer service number does not work. You can only email them and you will receive a different person replying every time.

I recently ordered a sectional sofa to go in my master bedroom. I've seen plenty of 5-star and 1-star reviews. I thought I'd throw my real-world 2 cents worth in.
Everyone let's have a reality check. Sofamania is nothing more than an ordering site they do not stock merchandise, they do not produce merchandise. They do nothing more than aggregate orders until they have enough to bulk purchase from some manufacturer. That being said
1. Look at how long they say it's going to take to get your merchandise. If it says 3-6 weeks, figure 4-8 weeks. Be prepared, if you need to have something for the family to sit on next Thursday, you probably shouldn't order from here.
2. I see a lot of reviews complaining about quality of the merchandise people, really, if it's a sofa for $200 and the next cheapest one you see is $500, think about it.
3. Size reviews wanting to return because "it's child sized". Honestly, I'm middle aged, I learned how to use a tape measure is this a skill that's lost on millennials?
4. Be prepared to loseI was prepared to have an order
A. Not fulfilled
B. Drag on for weeks
C. Show up damaged
D. Show up missing pieces and I was prepared to cancel, cancel, cancel
5. Given the reviews, figure a 50/50, maybe 40/60 chance of getting your item on time, undamaged. Can you live with that?
So, for me, I purchased a sectional
1. It said 2-4 weeks when I ordered, shipped 2 weeks 2 days, showed up 2 weeks 6 days
2. Quality was fine for my expectations duh $250. Showed up with all pieces/parts
3. I did not expect this sectional to seat 10 college football players I found it in the first place by Google searching "small apartment-sized sectional" and again, I can use a tape measure
4. I was prepared to cancel the entire order even after waiting weeks for it not everyone has the luxury of time/money, I get that (should probably look somewhere else.) Box showed up damaged, luckily the contents weren't
5. I rolled the dice and won It came in a reasonable timeframe and was what I expected.
Solid 3/4 I got what I wanted with relatively little hassle.
Decide what you can live with.

Horrible quality

I don't know which is worse, the quality or customer service. Do not buy from Sofamania! The sofa I ordered looks like it was made for children. The pillows for the back support are smaller than the decorative throw pillows. The stitching on the fabric is coming off, the fabric is low quality. The sofa wouldn't assemble properly, so on top of the poor quality of the materials, the sofa was so flimsy. I've been trying to reach sofamania for weeks to return and I can't get a hold of anyone. This is Fraud!

I sympathize with those of you stuck with a damaged item. It's ridiculous how inept these people are. I received my love seat on the 5th and couldn't wait to get it set up. But when I opened the box the first thing I saw were the two large holes in the black Velcro lining. I stopped immediately. I had no intention of keeping something that was damaged. I saw the number to call on the box and called 3 times and left one voicemail. I took photos and emailed them to sofamania. I was unfamiliar with how often this happens so I initially asked them to send a replacement thinking this was an isolated incident. I soon realized they had no intention of calling me back or responding to my emails, so I called Fed Ex and they offered to file a claim. They specified what photos they wanted so I took more, emailed them to Fed Ex and sent the additional photos to sofamania. I scheduled a pick-up for the next day, taped the box back up and within 24 hours of receiving it, I was rid of it. Fed Ex was great; within minutes of telling them about the damage and that the box was not even dented, and the "packing material" consisted of that flimsy white lining that was useless, they made all arrangements and emailed a recap of my claim, etc.
Yesterday, 9/6/18, I finally got an email from "Vanessa." Basically: "Thanks for the photos, what's the tracking number?" WHAT? No "oh, sorry for your inconvenience. We will send another love seat or credit your card, whatever we can do to make this right" Nothing, complete indifference. That said it all. I replied asking for a full refund and wanted to know who she was since she failed to explain her position. I won't hold my breath for a reply. I then called my bank and explained all of the above and they credited my account for the total I paid. I'm fairly sure once the product is returned to the vendor, or never received, refused, or 6 weeks late, etc., they can't withhold our funds. I really find these reviews disturbing in their volume of similar stories. It's reprehensible a company can be so apathetic and dishonest.
And to the person who saw the product on Amazon. I did the same thing, I looked elsewhere for the love seat and saw it there but I personally believe it's the same vendor just using a different name, Furniture Mania - ph: *******199. The number I called to report the damaged love seat was *******198. Not to mention, they're both located in Vernon, CA.

I have waited over six weeks with no notification besides the order confirmation on our couch. We called in the later half of week 6 and they said our fabric was unavailable and it would be three more weeks... a notification would be nice. On the phone call we had the opportunity to switch the fabric out and it would be shipped within two days if not that day... well three days pass and fed ex informed us that our package would be there on the third day if sofamania would have sent our couch to fed ex. Long story short the amount of time it takes to get in touch with customer service is ridiculous and that my partner and I have waited almost two months twiddling our thumbs. Never order from here unless you love disappointment.

Received a leather love seat that was not packaged correctly. There should be reinforcements in each corner (4) but there were only 2 reinforcements. Love seat was damaged opening the box. It is not possible to open a cardboard box big enough for a love seat without damaging the merchandise when the reinforcements are not used in the corners. They admitted this was packaged wrong but will not take it back. Their mistake... and I have a damaged piece of furniture.

I ordered a sofa for my daughter for her college apartment. Before I placed the order, customer service answered my calls. After the order was placed and I was trying to talk to them about delivery (there's NO control over their delivery), they were completely MIA. No response to voicemail messages, emails - nothing. It's very difficult to receive a couch for an apartment when no one can tell you when it's coming - even though we gave a email and cell # for updates. Now FEDEX is sending updates - sort of - that have been inaccurate every time I check the tracking #. NEVER AGAIN will I order from here.
