I signed up for an annual subscription just in time to email Christmas cards. What I got was a product that is mobile unresponsive, which they know but don't bother to inform you at the time of purchase. This service is of no use to me if it can't be viewed on smartphones so I complained and requested a full refund of my subscription. After really slow customer service response time (it took them 3 days to respond to my initial complaint) and not addressing my issue, I was informed that my 7-day trial expired before I made my request so they wont refund my subscription. In fact, I made my request 5 business days after I joined and it would have been sooner had they replied earlier. The trial terms do not specify whether the 7 days are business days or calendar days. Their very own customer service page indicates that they "are not open over the weekend or on major holidays, so replies may be delayed outside of the hours listed above. Since Smilebox doesnt offer 24/7 customer service, then they shouldnt count weekends and holidays towards the trial period. What a double standard! 17 calendar days later or 9 business days, however you want to count it, Im still fighting them to get back my $47.88.
Looking at other reviews of Smilebox around the web, I can see they have a reputation for deceptive accounting practices and horrible customer service. Outdated products will now be added to the growing list of complaints against Smilebox.

I would suggest people to use this app because it is just too great. This app does not have all those fancy options but it is great enough to keep your work simple and elegant.

Smilebox needs updating because you can't fully customize your video like upload studio the video editor app on xbox FREE!
