Got 2 flights and was directed to make sure each available. Caused me a bit of concern, but both available. 3rd leg was a pain thru Jetblue, so I booked independently via Alaska air.
I got charged 100% of the cost of the flight and turned out that the flight was not available at that price. In return, I still haven't got my money back. This is fraudulent behavior.

Customer service representative was really disrespectful… it was the worst experience… they don't want to help you. I was just asking for some email confirmations and the guy said "how many times do I have to tell you you are going to receive the reimbursement but with no email confirmation and he hung up.

Among several AM airline flights was a PM flight that I scheduled, thinking I was scheduling a morning flight. I called SmartFares within 5-10 minutes of scheduling the PM flight, to report the mistake, and requested that I could cancel the mistaken PM flight and schedule a morning flight. This was declined and I was charged a heavy penalty to make a new flight schedule. The first flight schedule was an error, reported within the 5-10 minutes already noted, yet was given little consideration as being an error timely reported. Will use other discount flight providers than SmartFares in future.

I followed a link to an offer for $1200 flights and they accepted payment by putting a hold on my card. I soon got a message that the booking wasn't confirmed. I called them as requested on the US help line and was offered alternative fares… at $3000. It's an absolute SCAM. Similar flights with other providers were $1500.

They cannot provide the tickets for the price they offer them for on their site. You pay, then your horror begins, because they want you to contact their awful Customer Service. They start offering the same tickets for much more, or alternatives. If you want your money back, they want cancellation fee, but that's a scam as they are unable to provide the services/goods, so you are not cancelling anything.
Be careful, stay away, use another website. If something is too good to be true, more than likely it's not true.

Answer: Smartfares! They will offer a deeply discounted airfare and send you a confirmation number to your email. The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
