I had switch my flight through them that I originally purchased and tried to get flights close to the same price that I purchased. I know there would be a difference between the 2 ticket purchases but not Quadruple the price. When you have a credit to so much you try and use that 1st to help out the the other price not stating that is will cost you an additional $465 to do a simple task. Customer Service for this is a Joke. All I wanted to do was use my credit for Future Air travel not buy a Car. They Say that they will find a lower price for you but Argue with you stating that you are getting the lowest price since the fares are going up when I was on their site, the major airline site and they still did not want to do the right thing. Will never use them again. All they are is MONEY Stealers and everything to boot. I will never even given them 1 star because they do not deserve that either but I have to but not my choice on that.

Ripped off

We booked a flight Dec 2020 for March 2,2021. I received an email from EVA air (feb 3,2021) saying that our flight is cancelled for March 2. I called this agency (smartfares/TraverlersHelpDesk) where I got my ticket from and I was told that EVA air was only allowing to refund a "Base Fare" which is 770.00usd (the actual ticket is (1271. 98usd for 2 person SFO to Manila)

I called EVA air and I was advised that I should get the full refund because they were the ones cancelled the flight.

This is very much unacceptable because the flight was cancelled due to pandemic and still trying to charge us some fees after all what is going on with this earth? They're reason was because EVA air only refunding 770.00 but when I called EVA air they said they will refund all of it even to the penny.

They are saying there is a 24 hours free cancellation term. But it's not. On the international flights they take a 100$ fee per ticket. Even though I canceled it only in 12 hours.

Firstly, the agents literally sound annoyed to be on the phone with you... no matter how pleasant I have been when I have called in they have always had a horrible attitude. Red Flag.

Secondly, they literally were taking advantage of the pandemic jacking up the price on flights hundreds of dollars when forced to rebook through them after quarantine closures.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE. SCAMMERS.

Absolutely horrible.

I booked a flight after reading that they offered a refund if you cancelled within 25 hours. I called to cancel and was told it would cost 200.00 to cancel the reservation.
I went ahead and cancelled anyway and HOPEFULLY will get a refund minus the 200.00.
Agent was not helpful.
I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking. Live and learn

DO NOT USE SMARTFARES

I booked a flight on 12/3/2020 which could not be confirmed. I was told on 12/4 I would received refund it 7-10 days. I called back on 12/15 and was told that the previous rep should have said 7-10 business days but she would contact refunds department and that it would be refunded within 24 hours. Called back on 12/17 and was told no one was available to help me but would call me back in 24 - 48 hours but have never received a call back from anyone. I have been told in multiple phone conversations and in emails with a representative (Arvy) that the refund has been made to call my bank and of course the bank shows no refund ever submitted. Here we are on 12/30/20 (17 business days later) and I still have not received a refund so I have had to file a dispute with the bank. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

Purchased 4 business class tickets on Jan 2020. Since then flight has been cancelled and the airline refunded smart fare.com a company of LBT Travel. Since then I have been calling them few times a week, emailing with the customer service manager and no funds. More than $13,000 that they are holding illegally

I booked with them in the morning and tried to cancel same day. Then charged me 60$ and they could do whatever they want and you have to accept otherwise you wont get any of your money back. When I went to cancel the reservation was still pending but magically as soon as I asked to cancel, I was told it was confirmed. How was it confirmed and i have not received confirmation email. It is all about how to take customers' money. Believe me. Deal with airline directly as I learned the hard way.

I purchased roundtrip tickets through smartfares to fly with spirit. I ALWAYS take screenshots for my own documentation and I AM SOOO happy I did. Thank God I did because I never received ONE email! I called them to find out where my confirmation email was and my tickets, they told me that Spirit cancelled the flight! I asked them why wasn't notified about it and they didn't even answer. So I asked for a refund and confirmation but I NEVER got the email. I asked them if I should call spirit and they said go ahead. However when I called Spirit my information was NOWHERE to be found, the Reservation number smartfares gave me was fake! I finally filled a dispute with my bank. These people are frauds and the customer service is awful! They can go to hell! Anyone saying they had a great experience are frauds!

Not trustworthy

I purchased a round trip ticket for my family from Orlando to New York. This company charged me an extra $200 to select seats which I did not want. I called them and requested the cancellation of this but they said it couldn't be done by phone and that I would have to send an email. I did, but no response. I called the following day and they acknowledge the email and said to wait for two days to get processed. I called again after three days because my refund did not come through. They told me to wait for the next Monday that it was going to get the refund. Sadly enough that did not happen. I called again and they said that they have no idea when it would be processed and might take up to a full month. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

Headache headache. I've booked and paid for my flights and now there requesting for me to pay more staying the fares have gone up and refusing to refund me. When call to try to resolve issue they keep you on hold forever or simply disconnect your call. Worst experience I've ever had with a booking site.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

So because of covid 19 flights were canceled. I bought a business class ticket $2900. 00 and they never gave me the money back. Tried to dispute but because I got the ticket October 2019 and the flight was for April 1st 2020 it was more than 6 months and the charge was finalized. I called sever times them they said the manager will call me back they never did. I lost 2900. 00 but they lost more because i will never do business with them again. A family of 5 who travels 2-3 times a year business its a serious amount of money. They think the score? No they didn't. Bad business. Don't let them fool you with couple dollars less than other more legit travel companies.
BAD SERVICES HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.BE VERY CAREFUL DONT BUY TICKETS FROM THEM. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Simply scammers!

Absolutely horrible company! Never had such a bad experience before with any other travel company. I purchased a flexible fare (HKG-RUH on 11/27/2020 by Philippine Airlines) from Smartfare for USD885.13, including USD147.52 flexible ticket fee. Then I needed to change the itinerary to a later date, 12/17/2020. I called the customer service hotline at *******278. However, the customer service requested to pay me charge they called "fare difference", which was different every time I called (from USD175 to 375). At the same time, the fare shown on the Smartfare web site for these itinerary and date was USD624.23. When I asked to explain where the "fare difference" came from, the company representative just hung up. I checked the fare on other web sites, including the Philippine Airlines, and it was about USD620-650 all around. To my opinion, Smartfares intentionally deceives customers by charging a fee for the flexible fare and then for "fare difference", which does not exist. I tried to reach the company by phone to resolve the issue and change the itinerary but they simply hang up. Finally, I reached the help desk and had to pay USD175 of "fare difference" just not to lose my ticket and all money. That means I paid USD1060 for the fare, which was listed on the Smartfare web site for only USD624.23! This business practice is totally unacceptable. I wonder how they were able to obtain BBB accreditation displayed on their web site. This is simply total dishonesty! Stay away from these scammers!

Absolute Mess

I bought qatar airline ticket through this web, cause they offered cheaper price than the airline's website itself. Covid-19 hit, I can't fly. Requested refund, told to wait for 2 - 3 months. I waited, still have not received any refund. Their customer service is full of rude men with indian accent (really hope they can be nicer).

Something isn't right

Thought we were getting a deal. Had to purchase tickets in a hurry. Received an initial confirmation email but the code did not return any information when entered on airline website. Received final e mail ONE MINUTE before departure WHILE ON PHONE with one of their agents. And to add insult to injury they CANCELLED my ticket and charged me an extra $150 to get us another flight on a different airline! If it was not a family emergency would not have went along. I WILL BE FILING WITH BBB. Do NOT BOOK WITH THIS AGENCY.

It's sad that I thought I was calling the The airlines to change my reservation and actually called Smart fares tools. Christopher Answers the phone never tells me that hes not with United Airlines but instead When I tell him that they have the wrong date on my reservation he says he couldn't change it because all the seats were sold for the actual date that I was supposed to leave New York City. Then he goes to tell me that he found 2 seats he could hold but I had to pay $350 For the seat other than that I had to wait 7 more days before I could take a flight back home to Mississippi. I paid the $350 to take the flight and wait it On the E ticket 2 hours later after receiving the E ticket he Carl's back in state that my tickets had been canceled And I can't pay an additional $225 per person and leave A-day early then the day that I was I was supposed to leave. I finally reached United Airlines and was told that whomever I had called had canceled my reservation which was originally through a 3rd party name justfly.com. As you know it was all Christopher trying to Yet me to make a reservation with his company Smart tools.com so that he could get the commission. Thanks to the United Airlines representative I was able to Recover and not have to pay a penny again. When I called Christopher And told him what I knew that's when I was given a refund... and he was still trying to lie..

SmartFares charged my credit card THREE TIMES. Called them up and they told me their servers had an internal error, but since the ticket was purchased they cannot refund me the two times. I ended up paying 3 times. THEY ARE THIEVES
