I am recently new to online shopping. I made a purchase that scared me so I started looking it up. I found this site and I'm hooked. It has helped me so much. Although I do find it hard to navigate. I can't figure how to read older reviews or can you? Other than that, thanks to all those who write those reviews.
Fantastic concept and a well implemented site. If the user community grows, this will be an excellent tool in fighting the good fight against the scummy scammers of the world.
God/Allah bless you.
I love this website! What a great way to rate websites and read other peoples opinions of them. There should be a site called Appjabber, for phone apps (Its my idea so nobody take it).
Cool! I'm a college student and I've been looking for a good site that could help me with Translation! You helped me all the way guys. Nice job,:)
I will recommend SiteJabber to my classmates and friends now!
A website dedicated to helping the average internet user. A true service to the internet community! This is a public site to inform the average internet users about which sites are bad and good!
I totally love the idea of this site, allowing people to search for websites and posting reviews is a very good idea, allowing people to know what the website they are going to actually is, according to other people instead of some random anti-virus program, offering a second opinion. Very useful, and I love it.
User reviewed web site system. Most reviews are honest, but there is the risk of some "haters" to provide false reviews. Over all, a good resource.
It's OK but, I haven't found a way to correct a review I made a few minutes ago. There ought to be a way to edit our reviews & if there is, that page out to be easier to find!
For a person who has been the victim of multiple scams and cons to the point where i didn't even trust the internet anymore, i would like to say thank's to Sitejabber for restoring confidence back into me. Now i know that others are also looking for legitimate websites and business opportunities out there, big and small, and we're fed up with being taken fast. Life is too short and bills get too long!
Smart layout and easy to use! Really neat way to find good websites!
I know i've already reviewed you guys but i just wanted to say that by your existence and our input we boost consumer awareness and that creates a standard a bar and that bar represents quality honest, reliable and it should be in the form of a sticker or sign and eventually that will become industry standard consumer sites need to conform if they don't they should be labeled unreliable. Conforming means sound policies across the board. If they want sales they need that sticker. It's big i know but it will flush out the junk and frankly i'm sick of sites trying to insult my intelligence. The take over. I couldn't care less who gets mad at this idea. Probably won't happen but worth a shot.
Sitejabber is okay. My biggest beef with sitejabber is that the 'volunteered review' model of review solicitation often leads to only those who've had bad situations bothering to leave reviews. This problem is particularly bad in the commerce sector, when I buy something on Amazon and it goes well I'd never bother to write a review, but if things go sour I'm going to shout it from the rooftop. Unfortunately, with the exchange of physical goods things are bound to sometimes go bad (usps screws up the shipping, I accidentally ordered the wrong item, the seller legitimately sent me the wrong item, etc). I became interested in sitegrabber when I noticed that groupon.com was the sites "most hated" site of the day a while back. I started looking at the reviews for groupon and sure enough, it looked like there was a vocal 1% who had a bad experience with groupon.
I love it. This seems to be the best solution to get info on unknown sites, the bbb is motivated by the amount of money that they receive from the business, ripoff report seems to cater to complainers, everyone here seems to give real useable information. Thanks to all of the posters.
LOVE SITEJABBER
Wish I had found this site before, really easy to use and register, will be adding reviews and reading others' regualry!
I'm sorry I did not read the previous reviews before I signed on the dotted line. Howeverf, I did. I am soooo sorry. I know it is my fault but because Montel Williams endorsed this website so vigouously, I believed him. I got $250 immediately in my account. I thought the $75 dollars they were taking out of my Social Security Check every month was repaying the loan until I went back and read the contract completely. That was only the service charge. After 4 payments, they tell me that I will now be charged $125 a month, $75 service charge and $50 on the principle. This is crazy! This that I will pay $1025 on a $250 loan. For one desperate moment, i signed this. A class action suit would be appropriate to stop this kind of scam.
Frankly, any review site that would put themselves under the chopping block is saying something deep! I think this site's layout is superb when it comes to easy navigation. The unobtrusiveness of any additional material on the site gives it a clean and welcoming feeling.
Plus their system for moderating is much more fair than others. Not relying on mere popularity they seek to promote those who provide relevant and helpful reviews. Also the reviews don't have to be flowery, they can be real and down to earth.
I am excited about getting to be a part of this with all my fellow reviewers. I think as a group we have a real chance to rock the web with solid, trustworthy reviews! We could get to be a good force for promoting e-commerce and a sense of security among sites that can offer valuable services and tools.
In short I LOVE SITEJABBER! They help us, help others. Whats cooler than that?
(Updated from 2010 review)
Sitejabber hasn't been able to find much info on the 20 or so site
Reviews I required. Even some of the more popular companies like
Microsoft.com has only a few reviews.
The main problem for me is there are not enough reviews for
The more common sites, although it has improved a fair bit over
The last year or so.
SiteJabber's a wonderful concept & has good ideas but I think
Maybe they need to find some way to draw in more reviewers.
It is also quite simple for a competitor to post unwarranted, negative
Reviews concerning rival companies or a positive one for their own. Having said that I am not aware of it being a major issue(I'm not sure that very much could be done about it anyhow.)
I believe Sitejabber was formed mid 2008, so has not had that much
Time to develop a larger data base of reviews.
I must say though that if you have any querries or need assistance
Using Sitejabber the admin team are very helpful and respond
Quickly(personaly if they can.)They are obviously making
The effort in that area.
There are some floors but hopefuly, over time, the site will
Develop as it is a great concept with decent potential.
Its a nice concept. Pretty simple to use. Only problem I had was first review I posted I wrote A LOT! When I clicked submit and registered, went thru the registering process. Finished process. Says my review has been posted. Nothing... Overall its a decent site. No problems after that.
One of many problems with this site is that it is built with the intentions to take JABS at legit websites. Many of the reviews are one sided and with less then accurate description of their expereinces. Then some of the haters on the site make reviews for other sites they have not even dealt with... but just based on reading someone elses reviews. How is that a fair review?
Anyone can log in as anyone... with free yahoo, hotmail or whatever email and post lies.
Like I can do it too:
After I signed up here on siteJabber.com I was presented with Porn Site Offers.
Does that make it true?
Site Jabber... You need to better your scripting and allow owners the chance to respond. If it is a legit complaint from a legit customer... there should be a way to show that the problem was corrected. And if it is a bogus complaint, then it should be pulled.
Most legit websites will do what they can to make customers happy. A site has been online for more then a year, selling products or services for money, then it probably is a real site and those sites should have the ability to defend themselves against wrong do-ers who post bull crap just to harm someone or a company.
