I stumbled across this site a few weeks ago and I just became a member today! I really like what most people have to say and I haven't come across any spam so far so GREAT JOB!
I think this is a absolutely great site and I support the premise entirely! It's so easy to put up a site, which is good, but bad at the same time. By working together, maybe we can help each other avoid scams.
Hey, while we're at it, let's work hard to keep the government from sticking their greedy hands into the net. Pay attention, c'cause they keep introducing bills that would tax internet users one way or another.
I did everything to join. I entered a full profile and a photo. I entered a full review. BUT your dummy site just gives my profile and tells me that I have NO reviews. I came to this site to inform your visitors of a scam - in detail - I told them what they should do etc. BUT NO - You just published my profile and that's all you did - Just a waste of my time. Please remove my profile - it serves NO purpose to ANYONE.
Yours in disgust Harry Richards. *******@hotmail.co.uk
Saves me time so i can just check here to see what others say and also alot of money. I can honestly say this website saved me 150 USD just from one website! Who ones to ones i never counted!
I'm pretty new here but already I'm liking it so far. Only complaint I have is that this site keeps logging me out while I'm writing a review lol. But other than that seems pretty good.
I love site jabber BUT they have to crack down because people com on and review their own sites, and that's bad, but they have to start advertising more get more people on = more reviews = safer online shopping
Xo
A well-deserved "pat on the back" for www.sitejabber.com who keeps us informed of the fraudulent sites. The best part is we can praise the good sites, warn others of the bad sites - THANK YOU SITEJABBER, YOU HELP SO MANY ON INTERNET AND YOU RUN A GREAT SITE :)
Fantastic site. Very good quality reviews. What I like the most is that you can trust the reviews because the admins do a very good job.
I believe this site is very easy to use, has a clean design and for the most part gives a user good information. I have stopped here a few times to look up sites to see if they have anything hugely negative that I need to worry about. I have only 1 issue that keeps me from giving this site 4 stars. If this issue were resolved... I would definitely give it the 4th star. I believe that everyone should have the ability to come back and remove their post or their comment. Many times you get someone who was in the wrong and kicked from a site. They come here to complain and when they wake up in the morning they realize that they were in the wrong. I believe that the entries would be much more real and that there would be lest spam to clean up.
This site sucks. One person may have a bad experience on a site and then they post total bs on here... or comment someone else's post. Then come back later and choose to change their posting or comment and CANNOT. Kinda wrong don't you think?
A friend told me about SiteJabber. I checked it out and found it to provide some very useful information. Because I'm an older guy and not as knowledgable of the Internet as I'd like to be (but I'm learning!), I can definitely use a site like this to help keep me from falling prey to the scammers and phonies. I like it very much!
Love the site... one feature Id like to see added is this. If I have already reviewed a site, then the "Review this Site" option should be grayed for me - or say "add to my review". I can't keep track of what sites I have reviewed. Is there a place that shows this? Thanks
I love this site it allows you to learn about the quality of a site, it's products and services from the entire community. This is a great idea long overdue.
There are a few features I wish they would incorporate (like the ability to link to my own reviews or sort by reviewer) but I emailed them and I am sure these feature may show up in the future.
It's great that you are very helpful there

I think the idea of sitejabber is a fantastic one. The team here does a nice job and the visuals look good. I have found many sites that i doubt i would have found on my own or found via search engine. Most of the reviews are legit but i have seen some self promoters and fakes. They are usually easy to spot. I think the best idea is the "trusted reviewer" status. I don't trust reviews from people without it. The fake reviewers will normally have one review and no picture. I look for a complete profile, numerous reviews and the trusted status and i know i can count on that review to be accurate
I was brought to this site because someone had brought to my attention a negative review of a site that I am part-owner of. I carefully read the review, I addressed the issues in an (I thought) lucid, concise manner and posted a comment hoping for dialog, because some of the points may have been legitimate.
Within minutes of posting my commentary / rebuttal it was "buried" so that it was invisible within the dialogue and could not be seen unless someone knew I was on this site and went into my profile to see my commentary. Perhaps the admins thought I was needlessly promoting my site. If that was the case, it surely was not my intention.
While the concept of reviewing websites and sharing experiences good and bad, part of making the internet a better place is allowing site owners the chance to post rebuttals to innacurate information or site owners to seek information from users so that issues can be redressed. It is one sided and counterproductive to allow one side of any issue to be presented while the other side has no chance to respond. That smacks of mob-rule; which is perfectly fine when you own a site, and you can pretty much censor whatever you want - if that is the kind of site you are running. It seems to me that sitejabber lives up to its name. It gives internet users a chance to jab at sites. Part of consumer protection, which Site Jabber seems to want to offer, is allowing businesses to correct a situation or a perceived wrong. Just because some of us were foolish enough to lay out some of our own dosh in order to put a site up, doesn't mean we are all a part of some internet corporate oligarchy. Some of us take our site membership seriously and sincerely want to do do right by them. Burying commentary doesn't help that happen. Live up to your 2010 top 100 site rating and make it a two way street. If you think your users are intelligent enough to be able to read both sides of any issue, then you will allow this.
We do find your website useful, however some of the information on here is not from genuine customers and results in bad press for good companies. We know you are only trying to do your job but we would be grateful if you could remove the bad press said about our company, that is not true.
We would be happy to recommend this site to any customer of our own.
Clickasite.
Sitejabber is a joke. The site is not moderated which allows people to make multiple accounts and spam negative reviews. Then they comment on their own reviews which pushes them to the front because they are the most "relevant". Yeah right.
When we spoke with them about individuals making multiple fake names to leave negative comments, they basically said "too bad". All companies will get negative reviews but your positive reviews should outweigh them, was their answer.
That's great in theory, but people only go out of their way to COMPLAIN; the average person will not go out of their way to find some sort of review site to leave a positive review for some business. As soon as there's a problem though, they are all over the internet spamming their complaint as much as they can.
Shouldn't a website like this try and make it so an individual can leave only ONE review for a company? And if that person changes their mind, they should be allowed to edit and change that review or even delete it entirely if they want to.
I just started but I like what I see hopefully I'll be updated to trusted reviewer soon so people know I'm real. I assume most not yet trusted reviewers are self promoters. I want to help awarness of bad sites as well as promote the good ones.
It tells me nothing, they showed it on the 10 oclock news saying it would tell you what web sites to stay away from, it seems to me it only wants info on me so far?
