SiteJabber Reviews – Why you can't trust SiteJabber
And it's not just SiteJabber, but that site seems especially hit with bogus reviews. The problem with review sites like SiteJabber is that they allow anyone to post reviews, and there is no check as to who the person is. You get a lot of negative reviews posted by competitors, and then when a negative review comes in, you get the actual company contradicting the negative review with a positive review and you end up in a circle of fake reviews.
SiteJabber is bold to say their site helps to prevent fraud when their site is one of the biggest fraud mediums.
So beware people, review sites aren't what they are cracked up to be... they are there to make a profit, and as long as there are page views the false reviews will keep popping up.
Make educated decisions by looking at various sites and trying to pick out reviews that seem real, and are from members that have been there for a while. Yelp is a much better source for this, but Yelp doesn't review sites, they review businesses.
Until SiteJabber cleans up their act, I say stay away.

I love this site because it allows us users to speak our minds and speak out against bad web sites and in favor of the good ones! Thanks sitejabber!
Finally a way for our voices to be heard! Dont suffer in silence any more!
I LOVE EVERYONE ON HERE <3 yall real as hell on this sh - t lol thank you guys so much, i was gonna order sh - t from all these different websites i thought were real, but i always do my research im a smart cookie :) but anyways, keep me posted,;*;*;*
Site is hard to use! Tried repeatedly to upload a profile photo with NO success, navigation is hard and cumbersome
Thank you sitejabber. Com I went on and looked at your review for an online company called climber.com. Thank you all out there for posting your comments. If I hadn't I would have made a grave mistake.
Really user friendly site. Not sure how many active users it has as every time I search for a site I find it has no reviews whatsoever which leads me to believe there must be bigger sites out there with much ritcher and valuable reviews. But having said that once I find something I tend to stick with it so I will stick around for now and see how it goes. 5 stars from me though.
I think your comments are required here --->>> http://www.sitejabber.com/forum/off-topic/is-being-trusted-just-a-function-of-time
People are starting to wonder how scrupulous you're sites practices are.

They asked me to do 3 reviews. This is my thrid one. It has protected me from two scams today!
Very informative website. I like the fact that I can review websites that I have visited, and even ask a community questions about certain websites that I would like to shop at, but am uncertain of their quality of service or the quality of their products.
Helped me save my money. Cracks down on scammers. Generally makes the internet a better place. Thankyou Sitejabber, your a lifesaver!
I'm really starting to like sitejabber. I like to talk a lot and this site lets me speak my mind about sites I visit. It's great to see honest reviews of other people on the site. I like reading all their reviews and comments.
I also like the design 'cause it's very clean. I like browsing through categories and finding new sites that I haven't heard of. It's fun checking these sites out. The makers of SJ sure did a great job in here. Thanks!
Something like: site-Jabber is a god-send, I think. I haven't had enough exposure or experience with it to either confirm or deny it's quoted value. I have children to consider. Maybe a internet - cop would be more appropriate. Who knows. I love the net, but it is full of mischief, which I prefer not to get involved with. Well, back to site-jabber - - - time will tell. So far, so good.
I love this site. It is the best there is out there and one can have creative freedom of expression.
It is a good site for explaining the good on sites and exposing the bad found on them!
I heart SiteJabber! You know why? Because they saved me from a big scam, that's why! I was on a website where claimed that they would buy your used laptop for cash, all you have to do was mail it to them and they would send you check. The offer was so good to be true, but I was kinda apprehensive so I decided to check out the website reviews first.
I found sitejabber, and saw the website had ONLY negative one star reviews! Other customers confirmed they were a scam and I was saved! I would probably have never heard from them once they got my laptop!
Thanks Sitejabber and keep up the good work! I try to come on here as much as possible to review websites I have visited.
I have one complaint about sitejabber.com, it won't let me upload a photo. (That is probably because I run pretty secure systems and any off site scripting is killed before it gets to my machine. This makes sites run a little funny, but destroys most virus and phishing attacks.)
Other than that...
I think it is a good community with reasonable privacy controls. The user gets to pick some very limited information and there is no massive demand for unsafe disclosures.
The interface is clean and useful.
It is also effective. I got kicked by a web site, wrote it up here, and they sent an apology letter! I am still thinking about how to reply, but I bet I never would have heard from them without the public forum sitejabber.com gives people.
No review is really necessary as anyone reading this already knows the great job that Sitejabber is doing. I check Sitejabber before visiting any website and especially before making a purchase online.
My one suggestion: Make the box where reviews and comments are edited a little larger so the poster can more easily edit and review the comment before posting. Maybe even add a speil-chekc feetoore?;-)
With regards to Sitejabber, spread the word around so we'll get as many websites as possible reviewed.
Your site saved me from being a 'victim' of www.zestify.tv. I nearly ordered their CD's and would have left myself in for loads of SPAM and my credit card being misused! Thank you.
