I ordered from Smallwoods on Mother's Day.
3 of the Wood Circle pictures. 2 large wrapped canvas. Each item had a default. I was able to fix the canvas by rewrapping. However the circles came with no keyholes or stands. I contacted support and was told, "We only are giving stands to people who ordered after today." They claimed they just, that day, changed their website to say they gave keyholes in the wood circles and stands. Which is not true. I read the description when I created them. I have no use for large circles that can't be displayed. I commented on the ad that lead me to the site and they quickly removed it and turned off commenting as other people kept saying they had issues and were not helped. They write "Family Owned" so people trust them but truly it is a scam.
Ordered 1 week prior to Mother's Day with the site blasting "order now and receive by Mother's Day" which is a joke because Mother's Day is tomorrow & shipped Thursday and It takes 3-5 days and I'm sure they're swamped but don't advertise if you can't reach your goals. Annoyed. 3 stars because I do like every picture I've received which is probably 15 of them now.
I purchased 3 portraits and spent $200 from this company that never showed up. I reached out to them to try to fix the issue and they were unwilling to help resolve the issue. I tried for 2 weeks to get them to help find out what happened and they were unwilling to help and told me it was not their issue. I am completely disappointed and have never had such an issue with a company before. I am not sure if this was a scam and they never shipped my order or if it was just lost and now someone else has 3 pictures of my kids. If you want your photos to show up I would highly suggest finding another company to use.
I ordered online and didn't get a confirmation seemed their site was not running properly,
So I placed the order again. I got the confirmation for the order I place 2nd immediately. Then Many Hours later got the Original confirmation. When I called customer service to please cancelled one order it was an error a duplicate order. They refused to refund me one of the orders! Customer service was terrible and nasty. Sad cause I do like their products but I Would never recommend them due to their poor customer service. I just lost $$ for an error on THEIR system. Very bad business practices.
Sent a picture from my iphone that i cropped a small part of the bottom. The picture arrived and was very blurry and background looked edited - they refused to stand by their product and blamed me that i zoomed it - i did not zoom IT I CROPPED IT - when i complained and asked for 1 (of the two i bought) they refused - wrote this big analytical review - they should have called or emailed me. I bet most of those big pictures you see on their ads are not uncropped or unzoomed - their info is misleading and dishonest and their customer service horrible. Then when i posted on Facebook my comments they removed me from displaying my dislike and i can't find them on facebook. HORRIBLE DISHONEST and FAUNDULANT company
I have the worst luck with online ordering and was really nervous about my purchase with Smallwoods. I found their website looking for something that wouldn't break the bank. I wanted large prints of my boys for above the couch. I order THEN looked at reviews. People have left not very good reviews and I was so nervous. I got my prints today…. It's been a week since I ordered. I did not expect them so fast. I opened them up and gasp bc they were PERFECT! The quality of the wooden frames down to the quality of the prints. So so happy with them. I will refer them no hesitation and will likely order again from them. So happy with my purchase!
We ordered the custom 25" X 17" in stained and are blown away by how beautiful they came out! After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit worried, but honestly they turned out perfect and my entire end to end experience with Smallwoods was great! Customer service/support was super helpful and so easy to work with. I sent our photos to them for quality/resolution review beforehand and they provided feedback almost immediately. My order shipped and delivered all within a week! Thank you Smallwoods! These are the best portraits we've ever seen!
I'm so sorry but I'm so disappointed with this company and their customer services, they promote themselves as a family company, but they are so far from this concept. The quality of customer services was very low, is like if they don't care about the customer they are just for the money.
They duplicated my picture and said that I ordered it that way and would not give me the picture that I actually ordered
Ordered over $600 in photos all giant ones they came out great besides one and they refused to help me at all choose to instead tell me it's my fault. Terrible this company makes so much money off all these photos especially being 180$ per big one and you don't even have the decency to help me get it fixed with any help at all. So wrong don't waste your money. It's not worth it was very happy with them until had yo deal with their customer service wow shocked at the care from this company! And don't worry they won't post any bad reviews on their website since their to embarrassed to actually own everyone makes mistakes instead they would rather sugar coat it and make you think their 100% all the way around! Please read before using SMALLWOODS! Don't do it! Pictures below to show you how they all came out great and then the one of the two of us one is terrible photo doesn't even show you how bad it is! Trust all of us it's not worth your money!
Smallwood provides poor service and customer resolution. After reaching out the day I received my clearly blurry prints. I was asked to send multiple times copies of the images already provided just for them to come back and advise they would not reprint or refund my money. I didn't ask for a refund just a new copy of the pictures made. I will never use them again as there are better companies out there with much better service!
I had two pictures made. They were the same picture, they were done the same way when ordering them but when I got them one was so blurry and you couldnt see anyones face clear but the other picture was okay. I don't understand how I can order two exact pictures and one come back looking terrible. I don't understand why they would even send it out. Do they really want that quality on their name? I reached out to them and they told me all sale were final. It's common sense to not send a customer a blurry photo esp when the other one was fine. THEY WERE THE SAME PICTURE! Never order from this company. I have found somewhere else that does an amazing job and they put their customers first. They don't even deserve one star but I had to put something to post this.
My husband and I searched for hours on where we would get our wedding pictures printed through as a main attraction in our home. After reading several excellent reviews we chose this business to create our wedding prints on wooden panels. The quality of the pictures were distorted, the coloring of the ink was faded, and the quality did not live up to the price of the product. When reaching out to the company just to resolve the issue they ignored our concerns and gave no solution. Just advice to next time check things on our end. I am so disappointed in the quality of the product and the customer service we received after wanting to support a small business during these difficult times.
I ordered three of the large prints, and did it all off of my phone. My wedding one was edited and saved, our family one was taken from a phone with edits. The one of my son was taken years ago and and saved a slightly edited. When they arrived they arrived in great condition. Picture quality was awesome. I had seen these in person at a friends so I knew about the texture. Looking from a distance they are perfect, but start getting close up and getting nit-picky that's where you get negative stuff.
As for the reviews on customer service…maybe it's an approach thing? It clearly does state that customs are non refundable.
As for it being "cheaply made" - I love that they are light since my walls are plaster (hubs is afraid to hang anything heavy because a train rumbles through 3-4xs as day.
Overall I'm pleased but I also looked heavily into it because dropping $150 is a lot. So check + double check! As a consumer it's your responsibility to know and ask questions before your purchase.
My wall art just fell right off the wall!
There is NOTHING to hang the pieces on so maybe that's why it completely fell off when no one was around?
The company will not replace it and it's $169
Don't spend your money on small woods, it's very cheap quality.

I ordered a circle photo print of my family that came out completely blurry and they won't replace or offer any type of refund. I never received any notification that the photo resolution was not sufficient and have placed photo orders with several other companies and understand this concept. If I was aware the photo resolution was not sufficient, I would have changed the photo before placing the order. Now this product is unusable and to not even offer a partial refund is unacceptable. Very poor customer service and I would never recommend anyone order from this company.
Josh Smallwoods boasts about "people over profits" but works his employees 20 days in a row, some of them working 12 hour shifts during that time period. Management is abusive to their employees often bullying, degrading, and screaming at them. He needs to take a long look at how he grew up and how he is taking his employees away from their families and working them in to the ground. Most employees are there just for a paycheck and a majority are trying their best to leave. Do not buy from this company.
I wanted to share my experience. I ordered 10 smallwoods on Black Friday. I can't imagine with that deal how many orders they got but I'm going to guess it was a TON. I received a couple of my items wrong. A medium family pic came to me as a squished up 13x13 and I got two 13x13 of one of my children and another child was missed completely. I went into the contact form and all my pics were there and correct. I notified them of the mix ups and Monica B responded. She asked for pictures of what I did receive (completely valid, I'm sure people try to scam them). I got my correct pieces 4 days later in perfect condition. I love the rustic feel of the canvas. It's not buttery smooth. Unless your face Is right up to it you can't tell. These canvases pop. Use quality professional photos. Quadruple check your pixels. And your pieces should be too.
Oh and I messed up and put a 10% code instead of a 30% code. I inquired about a refund and they gave me the $60 immediately.

Answer: I had one print damaged during shipping but was able to fix it easily. They need to work on packing and shipping. There are opportunities for improvement.
