The good news is I did get the dress I ordered. Fabric and fit was fine EXCEPT I ordered a size 16 dress and the arm holes were maybe for a size 6 dress. I don't think I have huge arms but I could only pull up the sleeves to my elbows. I sent video of me trying to get my arm in and measured the size of the arm hole and they would not resolve the issue. They offered $30 refund on a $150 dress which would not even come close to covering the cost of alternations. Infuriating, don't purchase from here.

Do NOT buy from simple-dress.com! Terrible terrible! I ordered my wedding dress, paid extra for expedited shipping to make sure that it arrived early or at the very least on time. A week before my wedding, I still hadn't received tracking. I did a live chat and was assured at the latest it would arrive the day before my wedding. It DID NOT! Came three days after and when I went to return I was told no, they have a 3 day return policy. Guess where I was? Honeymoon! Then they asked SEVERAL TIMES, if I could keep the dress for use at a later date! For what, my next wedding?!?!? Seriously? Their policy states if the dress is late an automatic 30% refund is issued. Never happened. A 20% refund was offered.
BEST YET, they will ONLY give you a return address to CHINA even though the dress was shipped from New York!

I was in shock when I got the few dresses and a bag that I ordered. The bag (supposedly leather, hahah) was stinking of some horrible toxic chemical and was made of anything but leather, just horrible cheap toxic imitation.
The dresses were no better. There was no linen involved, although all were marked as "linen". Sub-quality, looking nothing like what I have ordered.
Of course, the customer "service" is not answering. It took forever to get the return address from them, only after Paypal got involved. And now they are just ignoring all the messages.
Chinese crap at its worst.

Do not order from this store. They advertised that I would get the dress by a certain day but didn't even come close. Too late for the event. They would not cancel the order. Terrible service!

Don't rely on the cheap price: shipping costs at least $ 22. If you don't let that put you off because the dress looks so amazing in the picture, the next horror awaits you.
The dress arrived earlier than expected, but when I unpacked it, I immediately noticed various processing errors: A slanted zipper on the back and the seam in front of the dress, which catches unpleasantly attention (as in picture).
In addition, the color looks completely different on the photo as it is in reality: In the picture it is cream-colored, while it is dusky pink in real. Such colors make me look sick, that's not just a small deviation from the photo (comparison with the color on the photo: https: //www.simplydress.de/a-linie-spaghettitrager-blush-chiffon-ballkleid-mit-schlitz.html).
Before I ordered the dress, I meticulously measured myself in the German way. When I put the dress on it was two fingers away from me. It was attached to me like a beach dress, with the difference that this dress weighs a lot more than a beach dress and looks really unfavorable and not tight at all. The dress emphasized my flat chest just as unfavorably: I looked like a 5-year-old in her grandmother's dress - and her grandma has cup size Z.
Then there is the service. Anyone can write nice emails, but when it comes to unsightly things like returning a product due to defects, nobody will answer you, at the latest when it comes down to it.
I took pictures of the shortcomings and from then on I did not get an answer, not even after I wrote them again and waited.

All in all I'm really furious and disappointed, I thought they would do better.

I purchased a costume from the company for Halloween. I ordered a size larger knowing that costumes run small and you can alter larger but not small. 1) the costume arrives in a bag that is a size smaller than I ordered and it does not fit. 2) the only thing that indicates size is the plastic bag the costume arrived in. Conveniently, the tags were cut out of the costume. It wouldn't surprise me if the costume was actually two sizes too small.

I contacted the company requesting a refund since this was their error, not mine as I had double checked the receipt. Their solution was $5 and keep the costume when I paid $72 plus $22 for shipping. Or if I wanted to return it, they would refund my full amount assuming no smells and it clears customs. Oh, and wait it will cost me $80-$100 to return the costume.

In summary, they have no liability or integrity. Do not purchase from this company or similar companies in China.

So, I went to order a costume through them because it would ship within 12 hours of payment. I absolutely needed it by the 8th of October, so I did the faster shipping. After 12 hours had passed and I didn't receive a shipping email with the tracking # I sent them an email. When they didn't respond, I sent them another. They finally responded and said that it wasn't even going to ship for another 12 days. I am so livid. I told them not to bother shipping and to refund all of my money immediately. They're now saying I have to wait. I opened up a dispute with PayPal and will expedite it tomorrow. Don't ever buy anything from this site.

I am so mad on me! I should read a opinion about this store before I buy dresses from them. I beware every women from buying anything from this store! Please, please don't buy anything, you will be very disappointed. I order from them 2 dresses, they come very quickly about 1,5 week, so I was very happy, but when i try them i was shocked. I ordered dresses with custom measurement, and they don't fit at all. They do about 4 inch less that they should do on the bust waist and hips. I was very mad. I wrote with them couple of emails and they say that they do correct size for me, but anyway they wanna give me compensation for 85$, and I can keep the dresses, or I will return the dresses, and if they get it then give me my all money back, but they wrote that they just accept DHL or UPS shipping, and they say that the cost will be 80-100$ for each dress to send back to them. Wtf? I will do the claim, but right now I don't have the dresses and the money, and I have 2 weddings on August, great Wright? So please don't do mistake like me, and don't buy anything from them.

I was skeptical to order my dress online but it was my only choice since I wanted this dress. The reason I ordered it from here because of the good reviews and 12 hour shipment guarantee. After 3 days, no tracking number. I contacted them and they said that it was UNDER PRODUCTION because they were out of stock. False advertising! I told them that they guaranteed 12 hour shipment and 3-8 business days for me to receive it and so I expect this to be in my hand by that time. It was a big hassle trying to stay in contact but they expedited my shipping and I received it within 2 days after shipment. However, they altered a large dress to a small waist line and all the dimensions were completely off. It's terrible and I had to go get it altered that cost almost as much as buying this dress. The cup size and the skirt are all extra large and the waist is small. They obviously took an XL dress they had in stock and adjusted the waist to be a small. I'd rather they have posted it was out of stock because I knew once I paid them I wouldn't ever get my money back.
The reason I am giving 2 stars is for fast shipping and staying true to their word for the service. One star that it was the ACTUAL dress instead of some cheap knockoff paper looking version. Taking 3 off for the headache, wrong size and false advertising your company gives its customers. Guarantee I'm going to post this everywhere on the internet because I should at least receive half a refund for the service I received or payment for my alterations of your false measurements

I ordered a Cosplay costume from the Simple Dress website and paid through Paypal with regular shipping. A woman from Simple Dress contacted me four days later and told me the dress out of stock and would I like to purchase another dress with a discount. I said no, could I please have a full refund. She informed me "OK, we will cancel the order and refund you in 3-5 days". A week later I had not recieved my money so I sent her an email asking when I would be paid, trying to find out what happened to my money. I got this message: "I just checked with accountant, the refund will be done in this week, thanks for your patience." When I asked for the exact date it would be processed she firstly said: "normally we handle refund you in 3-5 days, and the accountant told us the have paid for you last week, but have no idea why it was not successful. So we are chasing them to refund you again in 2 days". When I told her that no refund had gone through to my Paypal account, nor was it pending she said: "Hi, our accountant have refunded to you just now, pls check it later". That was five days ago.

I immediately put in a claim with Paypal and I am going to escalate the complaint. I have no idea why they had the costume on the site and it was not in stock - probably so you will order something else. The vendor has given me no reason for the slow payment and changed the story when I asked when I would be refunded. It is very easy to refund someone through Paypal but apparently too hard for their "accountant". It is a shame they are using financial organisations and Paypal who have to chase up these claims.

I wish there was some way we could stop this from happening to people because they are being blatantly lied to and ripped off.

Don't believe the five star feed back on this site at all.

My daughter was estactic to find this dress for her first homecoming. This same exact dress with the same model and picture are on 7 different other online sites, including amazon. This site was cheaper by almost $30. I tried to save some money and ordered from here. I did not have the dress special ordered. Nothing. The dress did arrive on schedule and quick, considering it was shipped from China to the US. But that is the last positive thing I can say. The dress we received is NOTHING like the picture. It's some ugly off red color (not the deep, dark red as shown). It has a weird waist band, no tags to identify size (it was way too large in the bust and I did measure my kid before purchasing), it's not satin and NO pockets. When I contacted the company, they first tried to claim it's hadmade so there may be slight differences. WRONG. We chose zero alterations and this dress is listed on multiple sites. You did not handmake this dress. I then received an email pretty much saying "our bad" will give you $25 and you can keep it or you pay to send it back and we will refund everything but shipping you paid. So I'm paying for shipping twice!

BUYER BE WARE. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. My daughter's homecoming is ruined thanks to this mess!
