DO NOT go on this website before you read this! So I was just needing another site to share my experiences, and I was asking my questions about why and how I'm curious about something. Guess what?! They were attacking me for being the "s" word! Even the admins and mods are doing their job the wrong way! Be careful when you sign up for this pred prone website! People there are fake! All they do on their profile pages for examples is lie about their "g" word, put false pictures that are not theirs and write up creepy messages when I never asked for them! AGAIN: DO NOT go on this website before you read this!
While there was once a sense of hope, that SW would evolve, sadly, it has followed the demise of its predecessors.
Writers have abandoned the site enmasse, leaving the feed with just sadness and occasional dramas.
The site abandoned efforts to preserve the individuality of members. This included eliminating the EP inspired features that use to support many with depression and mental health issues.
Currently it appears to be downsizing to something akin to an aimless social blog.
It has some interesting design aspects and lots of troublesome content.
While originally habit forming, the designer has drifted the site towards a highly locked down european centric paradigm, lacking an essence of the american experience.
This leads to a high turnover of new members and alienation of existing members.
Membership growth appears stalled, with an obvious long-term trend to less serious writing and reduced interaction.
Wall Street should eye this venture cautiously.
New members should dabble, test it and follow their interest.
If you are seeking friendships, romance, humor, alternative points of view and discussion... this is not the place.
Recent design changes have made the site lame.
Overall, I recommend avoiding it altogether.
This is a great website to meet people. There is so much fun ideas and discussions that are shared by members. The managing team are doing a great job in keeping the site safe and friendly.
I enjoy interacting with others on this site. You get to meet and chat with lots of friendly people who share similar ideas as you do.
No social media site does it better. It flows 24x7. You can endlessly expess yourself, while at the same time systemicly ignoring those you do not want to read.
Everybodys experience is unique
Not a site for those wanting to torment
A good site for those inquisitive about others
An excellent site for expression and healing
Ideal to find a friend at 2 AM
I use it occasionally and love the responses I get when I post. Im hoping to meet new people and possible friendships
A Friendly-oriented Website. You are free to share without offending anyone. The idea is to keep it decent and in order. The organizers manage this quite well.
I love it it's better than Facebook to me. Like the post on there. Love the photos there have on there
Informal, friendly banter. There lots of different topics to discuss.
No matter where you live around the globe. You can join in day or night.
I was a member a very long time ago. I was booted for a very absurd (and many users thought so as well) reason. I DIDNT EVEN violate TOS and I was gone for over 2 years. I decided to give the site another try. DivineWind77.
Everyone I spoke to liked my posts. Nobody and I had ANY arguments. And guess what. INSTANTLY booted. No explanation. No review. No justified reasons.
Talk about a bunch of petty people. The moderators apparently hold grudges and play favorites just like children.
If you want adult interaction and fair play. Don't look here. Apparently if they don't like you. They ban you FOR LIFE.
I very much like this site. I was a member of EP until it was shut own so to find a site i can find n share lifes trials n tribulations or get advice or just talk with someone about anything or nothing is a wonderful thing.
I have a suggestion for Similar Worlds: How about allowing posters to lock their posts from comments?
Some posters are abusive, and this would allow their targets to stop them.
I have enjoyed interacting on this website. The friendly staff has made it quite easy to connect with others who share samiliar stories.
I really haven't been on there long. I heard about the site through a friend on Facebook and I thought it would be a good change of pace, compared to Facebook.
The first day I signed up I noticed my posts wouldn't show up on the main forum of Similar Worlds. And a few more posts after that, same result. I wasn't visible on the site. So I was basically shadow banned. I contacted the admins of Similar Worlds, and got no response at all. Eventually I closed my profile. Clearly my expectations were a little too high for that site.
I tried to make a review about this on Trustpilot. But they took it down, Trustpilot said that my review didn't seem genuine. And wanted evidence. Like... what? What evidence are you looking for? My posts literally got no interaction for the time that I was there. So I sent them screenshots of my posts. They have yet to get back to me on that, and I doubt they will.
Because it looks like there's favoritism going on. Smh.
Continuous, relevant updates that, in my opinion, improve the site and streamline purposes.
Features encourage friendliness and understanding.
If you are looking for people who may have answers and wisdom that you are seeking, give this site a try. You will also find people just like you... and people like me.
It's the only social media I like using. I started here aged 13 and now I'm 20. People open their hearts here. They are family. Not nice people join but Similar Worlds sorts them out very quickly. You only have to send a message to the organizers. They want to keep this site family friendly. They seem to be there 24/7 ready to leap in to protect you.
My first review was on another site. And the owners of Similar Worlds flagged it, for "violating" the guidelines of that review site. Which is nonsense. I stated nothing but facts as to what they did. They're just mad because I wouldn't delete it. Why would I delete my review when it's TRUE? There were reviews much worse than mine on that site, but they flagged mine. Hmmmm. And I hope the owners of that particular review site are not being paid off to hide and/or remove reviews. Because then they would be breaking their own rules.
The Similar Worlds admins accused me of "creating multiple accounts", "violating terms of service", and "defaming" them.
Now I don't know who they've dealt with before, but I refuse to be silenced because they're tying me to something I have nothing to do with. And because of that, I will be reaching out to more people to find out what's really going on.
UPDATE: I wake up to an email from Trustpilot, telling me they've removed my review because they found it to be "suspicious". As you can see in the picture provided below. Smh. At this point, I'm encouraging EVERYONE to speak up about the negativity they've experienced on Trustpilot. Write as much negative reviews as possible. Because by the looks of it, the admins seem to be hellbent on keeping a "great" rating over there. All of that needs to change. THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN DOWN ONCE AND FOR ALL!
Thank god for this wonderful site Its so nice to be able to talk about your most priviot things to others that share the same things.
Answer: They will never address it! They condone it! This site needs to be shut down as it is causing depression among its users. The cyber bullying that takes place on this site is unacceptable.

Hello,
You had a few accounts with us 3~4 years ago (FelixLegion, Spartan1, DesertGhost are a few examples), and as per our records, you accumulated over 250 reports by our members through the lifetime of those accounts.
We can see that you received multiple warnings on your accounts, before we proceeded with suspending your accounts.
We did give you a chance to come back as Reaper8541, but unfortunately after 40 accumulated reports, we had no choice, but to permanently disallow you on Similar Worlds.
